Owned and run by authentic Italians. This restaurant is amazing. The location is a bit hidden, but we’ll worth the drive. The lasagna is out of this world. Wood oven fired pizzas. Just amazing. We went again tonight to celebrate a birthday. The staff was so generous and friendly. They even sang happy birthday to our guest. Now fair warning it’s a bit pricey but the quality of the food more than makes up for it all.
Excellent service and food is delicious! Chef's are actually from Italy as well!
Update: 11/9/23
Service is still great! Was a bit more crowded, but we did go during a dinner rush. Got the risotto, which was a bit on the heavier side (but still delicious,) but that's on me for not reading the menu properly!
I've eaten here a few times in the last couple months and it is superlative.
The service staff are friendly, helpful and on point. The pasta is prepared perfectly al dente. The sauces are full of flavor. The pasta options are vast. The calzones are delicious. I had lasagna, oh my it is fantastic. The capprese, bruschetta, and the rest of the appetizers, wonderful. We had a wonderful Chianti with the meal. Please excuse the photos, I forgot until half way through.....
We are visiting from Palm Springs, and this is the 2nd time we have dined here. We started with the Caprese salad. The seasoning on the heirloom tomatoes was delicious, great presentation and the burrata cheese fresh and creamy. My wife had the Aribiata with the house made fettuccine, and I had the special risotto with scallops. We had the pizza for an appetizer last time really goid too. We took a tiremisu and the panacota home for dessert. Everything was delicious and definitely good size portions. Paulo the owner was there to greet us and made us feel very welcomed. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
We love Italian food and Piacere is top notch. We ordered pasta vongole and pasta bolognese and it was delicious. Interior design is one point too. Staff were very friendly.
I highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara and cannoli.
The gnocchi was good, but the sauce was a bit acidic. The tiramisu was mostly cream and slightly icy in the middle.
Fantastic Italian food! The authentic flavors of each food really shines through in every dish and is not overpowered by sauce or seasoning. The calamari, ravioli, grouper, risotto, short ribs and pizza were particularly noteworthy! The bread basket was amazing too. Pleasant ambience too with quaint and comfortable outdoor seating. We will be back!
I have been to this twice now. From delicious food to amazing servers as well as warm ambience, everything is great. They have a freshly made handcrafted pasta which are worth savoring. Their spinach ravioli with pesto is to die for! They have an outside seating which is glass covered with heaters on, makes it an amazing ambience to enjoy an evening. I highly recommend this place.
Outstanding meal and wonderful, passionate, welcoming servers. The food was delicious, fresh and you could taste the love. Caprese was maybe the best I’ve ever had, the pizza was superb. Bolognese on the pappardelle was perfection, we asked for garlic and red pepper flakes to be added to be similar to arrabbiata sauce. The super Tuscan wine recommended by our server was lovely and desert with a little decaf was perfection. Can’t wait to come back! I know it’ll be a new go to for my mom who lives here.
Great food and great ambience. Lovely spot for good Italian food. Service could be a bit better seemed a little short staffed (no one checked on our table after receiving the food or asked if we need dessert or check etc). Assuming it's a one off thing and nit the norm so still giving a 5 star ! Really enjoyed the pizzas (can there be more non pork options ?) And the pasta with shrimp sauce was great and quantity was very generous.
This is our kids’ favorite Italian eatery so we went there first when we visited them about two weeks ago. My kids have a couple of favorite servers, both Italian, one of whom served us that day. They have patio seating and we enjoyed the perfect weather. Everything was good. Not pictured below is the delicious lentil soup, the bread, and the pasta which were very good but we were so busy eating I didn’t take a photo lol.
Introduction to restaurant was warm and friendly; we were graciously asked where we would like to sit and welcomed to our table. Servers introduced themselves and were receptive and informative.
Food dishes were well presented, and the variety of food items ordered were all delicious with their own specific essence of taste. A myriad of wines were available; bartender mixed several drinks well and an adequate sampling of beer was available.
Pricing was within expected range
$$-$$$ for the entire culinary experience.
As a native Italian, I can attest to the authenticity of the food at this establishment. From the Neapolitan style pizza to Sicilian style cannoli, everything was excellent! The calamari fritti gets a special shout-out because it was as good as I've had in Sicily, if not better, with a really light and crunchy coating and fresh tasting squid. Service was amazing too, everybody taking turns to refill drinks and ask if anything was needed. I'm so glad this place is in RB rather than Little Italy: parking is plentiful, no traffic on the way, and the atmosphere is just as authentic, if not better. We will be longtime customers.
I don't leave many reviews, so I have to be either very pleased or displeased. Read on to find out which. 😉
My friend and I came in right as they opened this afternoon. We had been craving Carbonara for some time after something we had been watching got us on a tangent. After researching multiple local establishments, Piacere Mio had what looked to be the most authentic, in terms of ingredients and presentation, so we set plans for lunch.
The place is beautiful, first of all, and it had the wonderful smell of pasta as we walked in.
For our appetizer, we sampled, and finished, the Calamari Fritti. The breading was crisp and light. A tiny bit of grease, as expect when frying, but not at all dripping in it. Great seasoning, and a delicious marinara for dipping. An excellent start.
Of course, for our entree, we each ordered the Carbonara. Mine, the classic with spaghetti, and my friend opted for a different pasta. Let's start with the portion size. It was very generous. I was expecting a moderately sized portion, but it was actually quite decent, which left me pleasantly surprised. The photo below doesn't do justice.
Ah, but how did it taste, you ask? Folks, this dish is a little chunk of heaven! With every bite, you taste the egg yolk and Pecorino Romano, the pasta, and delectable guanciale cubes. The dish was creamy and rich, while also clean and rustic; flavorful without being overly-processed. It was everything I expected from a great Carbonara, and more. I cleaned that plate, and was happily full at the end.
No dessert on this trip, but maybe next time. In total, we spent around $40 each, and it was worth every penny! I'll be back again.
Our newly found favorite traditional Italian! It was worth the drive all the way from Fallbrook. Real wood fired oven Calzone was perfect and the salmon steak on risotto is amazing.
Very fair wine prices and the smokey blackberry margarita was perfect.

I highly recommend Piacere Mio to anyone and everyone! The atmosphere, the staff, the food, the drinks; everything here is just absolutely amazing. The pizza is out of this world, desserts are great, drinks are wonderful. I do not have a bad thing to say about Piacere Mio. If you love great Italian food, you need to eat here.
Never had a meal that was anything less than spectacular, from amatriciana made guanciale, to vongole, gnocchi sorentina, bolognese, pizza, and my favorite, puttanesca (with anchovies by request), everything is great. And for my son’s birthday, they sang “happy birthday, Mr. handsome” and brought out a panna cotta for us all to share.
