Hancock Street Cafe - San Diego - Photo album

Great funky place with good food, great beer and Mario, who is beyond description. Edit June 2023: Alas Mario has passed onto that great Cafe in the sky but his family is running it and everything is status quo. Food is still great. Service is still awesome. Decor is still funky. Definitely worth yo
As an east coast Pole, this reminded me of home. Both beef and the seasonal butternut squash pierogi were awesome and authentic tasting. The place is truly a vibe. Great selection of cold Polskie piwo as well. Love it.
Honestly, the people writing the reviews here are just plain wrong. The guy behind the counter has always been courteous and respectful. As for the food, I can only speak to the pierogi. That is something I can tell you is incredible. My favorite are the cabbage and the potatoe. Simply amazing. If y
The food was simple, but good. Served on a paper plate even though I dined in so takes away from the presentation. A little on the pricy side to be considered strictly casual. Decent sized portion but not sure of the authenticity.
Eric is super cool and relaxed. Great place for a quick bite and beer! While you wait for your food you’ll enjoy checking everything out on the walls and ceilings :) Thanks Eric!
Needed to post a review, im a sucker for meat ball subs and a friend of mine brought back half of his and it was AMAZING! Who ever is in the back saucing it up, thank you!
The beer was great the food was super good ! Small local shop ! All negative reviews seem to be from negative people . The worker is veteran 🙏🇺🇸🙏 GOD BLESS AMERICA . super tasty pierogi must try !
Love this place. The vibe, the staff, and the food is the best of all. You gotta try the butternut squash pierogi!!🔥
Eric, the staff guy, is the very best, but . . . Bad News . . . Come early in the week! 5000 perogies made only on Sunday AND ALL are sold by Wednesday night! (restaurant closed Sundays to make these perogies). Good News . . . The menu is full of other wonderful options, I ordered the MEGA
Not only is the staff amazing but the food is A1 I will admit I’m not used to pierogies, but what I eat, here was beyond my comprehension of good. I don’t care who you are where you’re from you must come try.
Our first visit there was after the March 4 Trump Rally at Seaport Village. Had no idea what to expect other than I figured it would be a safe place to wear my "Make America Great Again" hat and have lunch while we were in San Diego. Had the Polish Brat's with everything and a simple cheese pizza,
Amazing atmosphere and the food and beer prices can't be beat. Home/Handmade meatballs and pizzas. Great music and staff makes it's an always stop when I'm in the area.
It's such a curious little place in the middle of the industrial parkway that you almost have to stop by and see what's going on there. They make pierogies. And say they're the best pierogies in the area because no one else makes pierogies. That's not meant to be an insult, they were pretty darn goo
Great place to grab a beer, bite to eat, hear awesome music, and meet great people whether they be a patron or an employee. Family owned and you can feel it in the hospitality. They always have recommendations and some items you can only get at the Hancock St Cafe! I always have a unique time when a
