This is such a great neighborhood brewery. Great beer, friendly employees and patrons. Dog friendly! Pretty much always have a food truck on site, too.

We had a delightful time this afternoon at Thorn Street brewery. In South Park San Diego. I had a flight of the hazy, relay, Hoppy IPA and the Porter. He had a pint of lager. They require that you purchase a five dollar food truck coupon for each person. Which I understand because of COVID-19. I was pleasantly surprised by the IPAs. They were very smooth and drinkable, yet interestingly as the time went on and the beer got warmer, the IPA became more hoppy. I love their outdoor space and what they’ve done with the place since the last time I was there two years ago. The bartender was attentive, helpful and sanitized the tables before we sat down. I will be reviewing the noodle food truck in another review. The food was great.

Went here for a Girl Scout cookies and beer tasting. . . It was amazing. This is just a nice community bar, the beer is good and the people are awesome. If you want a nice spot to chill and kick back this is it. Plus they normally have a food truck outside and it is dog friendly. You are allowed to bring food in too. So the food truck, the bbq spot and the pizza place are all fair game.

I love Thorn, I've always loved Thorn. It's a great location, close to my house. The staff is awesome, the food trucks outside have always been amazing, the beer is awesome. Nothing to not like and one ofy favorites in SD. Tacos courtesy of Atesano Tacos (also amazing)!

The bar tender was super helpful about describing and recommending what's on the menu that would satisfy my palette. The place welcomes dogs, so open and great place to hang out. Parking may be a little challenging, gotta park along the streets but you can find one, just time it right. There's a food truck outside that will complement what's on tap if you have craving for food

We loved Thorn Brewery great service great beer Atmosphere is fun nothing but laughs and fun Location is in the middle of a neighborhood different from most Breweries. Place is bigger then what it seems from the sidewalk. The raccoon story is great 😆 check out our video on YouTube look up The Beer Ambassadors. Also you can rent a growler that's crazy!!!

Small brewpub with a well curated selection and a low key vibe. Nice place.

Good local brewery. If it's crowded downstairs, the upstairs seating area is nice. Also, the best BBQ in San Diego is right next door.

Lovely authentic atmosphere, we love to just swing by for a glass. Thorn Street Brewery is down to earth and the beers are very unique, just find your favorite! I love the Coconut Porter.

Great low key spot, and dog friendly! Also has a wonderful back patio that is roomy enough for a birthday or gathering. Love the beer, food is via featured food truck, and they have a great carbonated tea for a non alcoholic option.

Great spot. Personable staff. Tasty brews. Scrumptious food trucks. The only flaw I can find is that sometimes it can be difficult to figure out what the food truck outside will be. The noodle truck sucks, wait out for the sushi truck on Wednesdays and Fridays (at least this week).

Such a great local brewery. Very chill environment! Local pointer- if you buy their beer at a store the six pack reusable can holder (see pic) you can collect them and bring them in to get free T-shirts’, hats or discounted draft beers. Reduce reuse recycle :) ♻️

Thorn Street Brewing cycling racoon greets you with a great spot - even welcoming families. And...you can bring your own food/snacks in. Not a fancy spot, but roomy and casual is a good thing!

Reviewing a brewery :) this is my first time. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. The bartender was vey friendly! I tried an IPA (I always think that I would like IPA but I finish it off with regret ) . Don't get me wrong, it was good but not my fav. I used the 25 cent checkin bonus and got a pale ale that was more suited to my taste. I think the only REAL complaint that I had was that he food truck opened half an hour later and I felt that there weren't as many options. On the plus side, they had cans of beer like sour beer or kombucha which was cool

Great spot to hang out. Dog-friendly, and a good amount of outdoor space. The bartender (gray beard, didn't catch his name) was very nice and helpful. Chatted with us a bit about his dog and our dog, and when we tried using an online gift card he did everything he could to input it manually, scan the QR code, etc. When it didn't work he suggested emailing support, they cleared up that the card could only be used online, so I used it to pick up some beer at the Barrio Logan location where they were very friendly as well.

Great local bar for big gatherings or small groups. Only hesitation is the bartender, named Morgan, who may have a lot going on but was very rude and passive aggressive the entire time we were there (bar was not at al busy.) He was prioritizing texting over service while we were trying to order, and was extremely rude and not personable when taking orders. He made members in our group feel like they couldn’t go inside to order because he was so condescending in his mannerisms and tone of voice. I still love this place, but the customer service has recently dropped pretty low.
