The food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful. The service was my favorite part of my dining experience. Molly made the biggest impression on me!! Her knowledge of the menu helped me choose the exact meal that was perfect for me!!

My boyfriend and I dined at Butcher's Cut for our anniversary. We made the reservation on OpenTable and did select the special occasion option. When we got to the restaurant we were greeted by a host (I didn't catch her name), who congratulated us on our anniversary and gave us an option of booths and tables in the back. I loved the whole vibe of the restaurant - the ambiance was perfect for a special occasion.
Shad was our server and he was excellent. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He gave us a rundown of how they age all of their steaks and gave recommendations on other menu items that weren't steaks. The specials all sounded lovely. My boyfriend and I don't drink, but the mocktail menu was fabulous. It is always a nice touch to see specialty n/a drinks on a menu. We split the beets and burrata salad - the beets and peaches were super tasty. We also ordered the lobster ravioli (one of the best I have ever tasted), and the center-cut filet with chimichurri sauce. Honestly, the steak was so good I didn't really need the chimichurri sauce! But I ended up dipping bread into the sauce after I devoured the steak because it was also so delicious.
Everyone working was so kind, and multiple people came over and wished us a happy anniversary. They sent over a dessert on the house, which was very kind. I would absolutely come back and enjoy another evening at Butcher's Cut. Big shoutout to Shad and the rest of the crew for making our night so memorable.
Great service from Nikki, best service I have ever experienced. She got off before we checked out so I hope she got her tip, she amazed me with her attitude and presence.. me and my girlfriend loved her!! Go Nikki!!!

My husband and I came for our last night in California. We had brought our bikes and road to the restaurant. The hostess and I believe manager were very helpful and made sure we were able to sit by our bikes outside. Just to be safe. It was a Saturday night and lots of people out. The server and bussers were amazing and the food was the best. We both ordered the 12 oz sirloin and it was made to perfection. We also got the Brussel Sprouts with pomegranates …delish. They made sure our water was filled at ALL times and was very attentive. We will definitely be going back next time we come to Cali.
Mollie was an excellent bartender! Very kind, friendly, entertaining, and the drinks were absolutely amazing and delicious! Her espresso martini with tequila is the best I’ve ever had. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We will be back very soon to see you.
I really like the ambiance and overall vibe of this place. The food was good, the service was mostly good except we had to ask for the bread. Our table ordered the ribeye and tomahawk steak and it was a good quality steak. Cooked to a perfect medium. Not sure how many oz the tomahawk was but it was $130. The lobster and cheese was pretty bland though. The lava cake was just ok as well.
Nikkie and Alex were amazing and didn’t judge when I ordered 4 drinks for myself at once. Love it!!!!
We loved the Butcher’s Cut. Our server was Mollie. She was so much fun and had amazing recommendations. She also was a fabulous bartender and made the best Filthy Vodka Martini I had in San Diego. The food was delicious. We sat outside and it was a lovely experience.
Dined with my husband the other night and it was amazing! Steak cooked perfectly; medium rare, their peach old fashioned was delicious. Molly was such a sweetheart and the manager came up and tentatively checked on us throughout the night, despite them being busy with comic con.

The dinner was fantastic! Nikkie was our server, and she was so great! The filet melted in your mouth, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus. So delish! She even brought out a desert for my birthday dinner! So good! Thank you for amazing dinner and service!
Very fancy place! I went here to celebrate my birthday once... and they did incredible with the service and food. I ordered a tomahawk steak, and boy was that really good 👌😌🤌
What a beautiful evening! We were celebrating a milestone birthday when we stumbled on this treasure! From the moment we were seated, Nikkie made us feel like old friends! She was so nice and even took some artistic liberties with the menu to ensure we got exactly what we wanted! When the food arrived the presentation was beautiful! The freshness of the salad veggies made us feel like they were harvested 30 min ago! But nothing could have prepared us for those first bites! Omg the steak and scallops were on point! Just wow! These folks made our night special! Will definitely be back on our next visit in town! Thank you to our new 'old friend' Nikkie and the rest of the staff for a beautiful evening!!
Yes. Yes. Yes. I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with this restaurant. If you get the chance you have to stop here for dinner. We went here for New Years Eve. They had a limited menu but that was fine because they still had plenty to choose from on the menu. We had the bone in ribeye and brussel sprouts and mushrooms. The food came out quick and hot. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the mushrooms and brussel sprouts were seasoned very well.
The service was amazing. The server was very helpful with the dairy allergy and he was very knowledgeable about the menu.
Joseph and the staff were excellent.Very passionate, professional and caring about the quality. We would come back time and again!
Had a very mixed experience, really unexpected since I booked a large private party.
My grading is mostly based on how much I paid and still didn't get proper results. If I had to grade on food quality and flavor, I'd give it one more star. The hostess was very helpful and nice and tried to make everyone's experience great, but there was just some things that went wrong.
The issues...
The menu I picked out had some errors and items missing. Once customers started reciving their steaks, we found that allot of them had been cooked wrong temperature and had to redone. Lastly the crab cake wasn't great. Really just tasted like blue crab which was good for some, but bad for others.
When they got it right, they got it very right though. The rest of the food we ordered and the steaks that were cooked properly were fantastic.
I'm not really sure if this was just an off night or if it's like this daily, but it was good enough that I'm willing to head back again.
Not only was the food spectacular, but the service was stellar! Mykaela at the front was just lovely and kept checking on us throughout our meal! Jenny was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. Rodolfo, the owner, was such a gentleman. He came to introduce himself and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend it. Just be prepared to walk a little.
