Have been going here for years (since they were off Mission Gorge) and have never been disappointed. Love the chicken stir fry with lava sauce--spicy and flavorful. I always get the sweet potato medallions in place of the rice -- worth the extra charge. And the mac salad and cole slaw are the best! Will return soon and often!

You walk in and nice people greet you and you order from a menu of really good food. You sit at a table that is unassuming and then you commence people-watching other (cool) people entering and ordering. Hopefully you ordered a beer. It’s fun. Then your amazing food comes quickly (maybe too quickly, I was enjoying the people-watching), and you eat, and talk, and drink. Then you think, “I could’ve shared my meal but then I wouldn’t have had awesome leftovers.”

Want to eat here every day

I would actually eat here all the time if I lived closer. So good. Big portions, fresh and delicious food. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Do yourself and favor, and go!

Amazing Hawaiian food! It is even tastier than the one I got in Hawaii. Loved BBQ guava pork - super tender pulled pork with pineapple and rice. Poke bowl was amazing as well - fresh tuna and avocado, simple but delicious. The dessert, coconut custard, was a unique and out of this world experience. Definitely recommend 💕💕💕!!!

Nice Hawaiian restaurant with a unique selection of bowls, as well as some real authentic drinks and foods from Hawaii! Excellent selection of Hawaiian Sun. No indoor seating, but plenty of seating outfront. Food was delicious and served quick! Fairly healthy bowls, that are incredible. The pineapple salsa is just delicious! Wonderful service, chill guy at the counter. Made it easy and fun to order!

Ono Grinds was a quick, delicious lunch. We got our food in about 15 minutes and the service was quick. We opted for the hibiscus lemonade (yum), the spam musubi, Huli huli chicken / char siu pork combo with Mac salad and the Kalua pork plate with sweet potato. The chicken and pork was very flavourful and saucy. The Kalua pork was delicious. I highly recommend and will be back for more!

Delicious Hawaiian food, including: Huli Huli Chicken – grilled Hawaiian style sweet teriyaki chicken, Kalua Pork – Hawaiian style pulled pork, and Haupia for dessert – thick coconut pudding on a Macadamia cookie crust drizzled with mango-guava syrup!

Just want to say I will definitely order from here again. Sorry I took the pic a lil after I already ate it. Chicken was very flavorful and the sweet potato is to die for.

4.3⭐️ The Ahi Tuna here is phenomenal! I’ve been a few times, and it is so good I will not get anything else. Everyone I know that eats here just loves the food as well. Highly recommend!

Went to their set up at Liberty Station Public Market. Got in line, ordered our food and within a few minutes our order was done. Found a nice spot to sit outside and eat. The food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely eat there again and also try out their physical location. Poke Bowl & Volcano Chicken was 🔥!

This place is fantastic! The food was amazing, and the staff is friendly. Had the poke tuna bowl, chicken, and sweet potatoes! Loved it! Will go back and parking is pretty easy on this part of 30th.

I loved Chris' Ono Grinds at the Mission Gorge location. It was a full on restaurant with bar, ukulele class nights, live music.. the 30th St. location is more like a food stand. I only do take nowadays. No indoor seating anymore. Sidewalk seating is available, does not pass for a patio. The food was also better before, but it still good. Still ONO grinds 🤙🏽

Saw this Hawaiian style place while walking down 32nd Ave and had to try it out. I ordered the combo chicken and steak with macaroni salad & rice. It came out quickly and was very good. I enjoyed the teriyaki sauce for the steak. The chicken sauce was good too, had a nice little kick to it. If you find this review helpful please like it.

Classic Hawaiian fare with poke bowls and supamus. All food is prepared for takeout. Food was tasty and satisfying, although I docked a star because the team couldn’t tell me where the fish was fished from… it’s important these days for businesses to know their supply chains.

This place is always tasty. We get the steak teriyaki plate with Mac salad. Sometimes it’s enough to split and sometimes we’d rather have the leftovers. The staff is friendly and cool – some people have been there as long as we can remember – and the food is very consistent. It’s an absolute favorite not just in North Park but in all of San Diego!

We order the combo plate of huli huli chicken and kalua pork all the time. It is fantastic every time. Rivals anything you can get in hawaii without having to go there. The mac salad is second to none.
