This was the best breakfast I have ever had! The wait staff was amazing. The bloody Mary was on point. I highly recommend the Goldenstate Benedict. When I'm back on the west coast, I will be back. We need one in Indiana. Delicious!

Went here mid morning on Sunday.
We were seated immediately. Our server was Kim. She was FANTASTIC! I had a party of 6 people, and everyone's order was made to perfection. We were all eating off each other's plates because everything was so yummy!! The Bloody Mary was delicious
( Kim added a spike with a pickle and a slice of bacon!) The pomegranate mimosa was so yummy. Overall I'd give them a 10 out of 10.

Great location, restaurant size, food, service and generous mimosas! Waiting on the Mira Mesa one to open, but honestly I think I'll just come back to CM location, thanks for a great Fathers Day breakfast with no wait and a pleasant atmosphere for kids too! 👍🏼😊

We visited this restaurant 3 mornings in a row, and had a great meal every time. The service was awesome 2 mornings out of 3-we May have hit someone on their off day. The menu is comprehensive, and there is something for everyone.
The food here was ok. I didn't taste anything worth the $12-15 plates. We entertained the novelty of their 12egg omelet challenge for $35 or free if consumed in an hour but passed.
Service was a bit slow and inattentive but the food came out fairly fast and hot. Total for 1 coffee, 3 waters, 2 burritos, a good size burger n fries, and a club sandwich was $70 for 4 ppl w tip. Can't say we'll be back but it was an ok option to the alternative (Denny's) for breakfast.
The fiesta burrito had potential but the meat amount was so minuscule that I almost sent it back.
I’m from out of town and desired a good breakfast. I was not disappointed! Great menu, great staff and fast service! Couldn’t recommend it more!

Their Mexican inspired breakfast dishes are delicious. I had the Border Benedict and it was delicious! The green sauce was savory yumminess. The they seem a bit short staffed, but tried their best to help us.
Terrific. Today visit the broken yolk carmel mountain and the staff and owners were on point. They made sure everything was on point the food is amazing I love the eggbenedict and the pumpkin latte omg best one in town it's kid friendly and what made me feel confortable is that is family own and run. The server Alfredo has an amazing personality great vibe I will defiantly recommend this place to anyone I know great job guys keep it up
This place is super cute! The decor was really nice and trendy, like an upscale diner. Plus they had a few mini golf holes and an arcade room. The food was very yummy. The gluten free pancakes were delicious and super fluffy. I ordered the short stack which was huge! The omelet was chock full of veggies. The real star of the meal was the Sweet Trio!! Sadly it wasn't gluten free but my husband sure enjoyed it, and it smelled amazing!

Mothers day celebration started with our traditional brunch, this time we went back to basics, broken yolk, our favorite American Breakfast restaurants. If you haven't experienced the food or service at the Broken Yolk I highly recommend you give it a try.
Wait was bad 45 minutes+ , but it is expected during Mothers day.
Ordered Hash Skillet, Mom Omelet, Sope Benedict, Sweet trio and ample of Mimosas to with.
The Mom Omelet is perfectly made with lot of freshness. It had eggs cheese cooked with Spinach, mushroom, onion, red and green bell pepper. Topped with lot of avocado, salsa and sour cream. The quantity is lot, you could share too.
Kid chose Sope Benedict, it was perfect him. The vase was corn tortilla, wish it was crispy but it was little soggy. It was filled with shredded beef and topped with perfectly cooked poached eggs and lot of salsa topped.
I had the Skillet , the hash skillet had lot of fried potatoes and sauteéd corned beef hash. Topped with onions and bell peppers. It also had scrambled eggs melted with cheddar cheese and chopped bacon.
For dessert we chose the Sweet Trio, which we shared for the table. It had all , each of one slice. Tiki Toast, Crunchy French Toast and one Cinna-Cake. Perfect finish.
Mimosa was best and must to go with this best breakfast and added to the great experience.
The staff was friendly and service was quick.

Seating is very spaced and you feel very comfortable dining inside with well spaced apart tables. Severs are wearing masks.

Had the first really good, satisfying, traditional breakfast after a week staying in a nearby motel during a family emergency. The motel’s free breakfast had gotten really OLD. Being originally from the South, I had to try the biscuits and gravy, which was excellent. My wife and brother each enjoyed their breakfasts as well. The service was friendly and efficient and if you are a dog person, there were plenty of welcome pooches in the outdoor seating we were in.
No wait at all for us on an early Sunday morning. Seated immediately and our server was very friendly and attentive. Our meal was filling with the larger portions served and the blueberry muffin was perfect warmed with a little dab of butter. It went well with the never ending coffee refills which was mildly strong and rich, not watered down like other restaurants. It was a great experience and hopefully it will be the same if not better on our future visits.
The service was amazing and the food came out quick. Broken Yolk Cafe at Carmel Mountain knows what they’re doing. I had the French toast combo and Aaron had the trio with a side of hash browns and then he wanted to try the chicken fried steak. He’s a foodie! lol The gravy was spot on southern style! Thank you, Gerardo for taking good care of us.
23 of us came in on Sunday 8/6/2023 at the end of a family vacation. We were seated between three tables. Melia was our server with another girl (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name) and they absolutely ROCKED it that day. We were a large party and we all felt well cared for. All the orders were right and we never felt neglected.
All the food came out as expected and we had no complaints. Each one of us enjoyed what we ordered and were left with a very good impression of this restaurant. We'll definitely be back!
Amazing drinks the mimosas flight was very tasty and a great variety. The breakfast food was good but not amazing the biscuits and gravy was a little plain. But the omelette with bacon was decent. Would recommend the French toast instead it looked tasty.
We had the chance to meet for my 65th birthday and enjoy a fabulous lunch. All of the proper safeguards are in place. Outside dining and patio seating with heaters some were very comfortable. The food was very good and the wait staff very attentive to us. Another 6yr old had a birthday and they sang the happy birthday song to him, so cute🥳 The acai bowl was really good also the soups, salads really tasty & Monte Cristo sandwich is huge.
Broken yolk is our favorite place to go on Saturday's. We love the crew they are friendly and respectful to our wants and needs. Great place for variety of foods. They treat you like family.
We used to be stationed in Oceanside and would love going to broken you. We came for a soccer tournament and decided to eat there because we knew it was delicious. Our Uber driver forgot one of our bags of food and the manager personally drove it to the hotel to deliver it to us. Great service great food!!
This place is always good so far, I have taken my kid's, grandkids, and several friends, the last Time I was there I took a friend and he's wife, they were happy with the place as well. Keep on keeping on. You have Good people working here, always happy to see them, because I know the service is going to be ok.

It was delicious and since it was a Monday morning, there was no wait. The food was delicious and they kept our glasses and mugs full. Really quite great! It was my second time here and I do intend to come back. They have internet and the noise level wasn’t that bad!
