This is a great place with a happy vibe. Genuinely friendly staff. The food, tea, and coffee are really good. They pay attention to the small details. You can tell they like being here & care. Great addition to the neighborhood.
I can say that the mocha and chocolate muffin is definitely chocolate overload!! Definitely worth the trek. Also cool that there is an option to purchase Sock Guy socks. Definitely a must visit the next time I am in America’s Finest City!

SPECTACULAR! I am a barista, so I'm a bit of a coffee snob. This was an amazing experience. The horchata latte and iced chair are stellar. Their food items are pretty great too.
One of the absolute best coffee shops I've found in San Diego. The nitro cold brew and turkey pesto sandwich were both delicious. Employees were friendly, helpful, and seem to genuinely enjoy working here. Environment is warm, inviting, and clean.
More outlets would be great but otherwise, zero complaints!

This is a very cool place / is perfect for having a conversation , date etc. Is innovative /I had a horchata iced latte and it was very good .
I would definitely say this is one of the better coffee joints in Hillcrest. Great seating, great food. Great drinks staff is friendly and fast. I would say the only negative about this place is the parking. Of course, all of Hill crest has the same parking issues. So that's why I don't take off for this review. Because it is norm for the area.
Coffee selections and flavors were amazing. There were 3 coffees we wanted to try so we got all 3. Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew, Snickerdoodle Latte, Best Drink Ever. Enjoyed each one. Would 100% go back if I’m in San Diego again. Such a cute location too, the interior is pretty without being pretentious.
My favorite drink is the Hazelnut Divinity. I'm not a coffee drinker but Better Buzz is my exception. This looks like a good place to study. Good music and it's not loud. If you can find parking then it's worth staying. Normally I leave someone behind with the car while I pick up the drinks.

Their Hazelnut Divinity coffee is probably a wonderful indulgence with its nutty sweetness complementing the robust coffee flavor. Pairing it with an Orange Matcha Latte demonstrates blended the earthy tones of matcha with the zesty brightness of orange.
A coffee place with a nice vibe can really enhance the enjoyment of the meal. A welcoming atmosphere, with comfortable seating, pleasing decor, contributed to making our breakfast visit quite enjoyable.
Better Buzz has good coffee. They also have food. Because of this, they can get busy. Can make it a challenge to park. Inside, Better buzz is a nice place and very welcoming to sit and enjoy.
It as also a good place to go while your CSS-2 EV is charging less than a block away. There are 4 chargers available by the Bank of America.
Delicious drinks and pastries with a reasonable price. I recently tried their pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin chai latte, with oat milk, half sweet, they are so good! I definitely recommend!

The delish coffee, amazing gourmet cheese sandwich, Avocado 🥑 toast with radish topped with greens was the bomb! Their orange cranberry. Never tasted that type of bread before.
Ngl came here because of the photos of the interior and it did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful space. I came early so I had no wait, but while working there for the morning saw the line sprawl out the door a few times. Coffee is excellent, could not recommend the rose water tea latte enough.
The cafe is spacious with plenty of seating, but I quickly noticed there was only one outlet in the entire space, and it was in the small second floor seating area very inconveniently in the ground, hence the 4/5 stars for atmosphere. Also the bathrooms require a password, which I totally understand, but that was also inconvenient because I kept forgetting it and having to ask the staff repeatedly.
Other than that the music was great and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Rating adjusted for any kind of chain coffee shop but avocado toast was well seasoned, bread not too hard, nothing fancy but definitely good if you wanted something more light/healthy. Price is $10 which is a lot but what you'd expect these days for places like this. Got the orange matcha which was way too sweet (comes pre-sweeteend) but the barista steamed some more milk for me to dilute it. Can't taste the orange though so not that impressive.
Otherwise atmosphere is good for studying. Plenty of seating so no pressure to move on. No outlets though so plan ahead. Bring headphones cause does get traffic but also great people watching.
Parking is limited so prepare for it!
Love this Better Buzz location! Parking can be difficult but not terrible if you go early. The ambiance is great here. Tons of seating inside and they even have a second floor! Pretty quick and friendly service. Great place to get some work done.
I usually get the Best Drink Ever and it's my favorite. Very much on the sweeter side of coffee. Tried their food for the first time today and got the Better Breakfast sandwich. Needed a bit more flavor for me personally, but not bad. Their food is kind of pricey for what it is, so I'll stick to their coffee!
Loved the ambience, lattes, avocado toast and almond toast 👌🏽 wish they had different mugs for dine in orders…

I highly recommend the honey latte and the “best drink ever.” Caffeine is definitely your best friend here. Food came out fast and was very tasty- we got the avocado toast add egg (hard boiled and sliced- yum) and the ham/cheese croissant add egg. The space is beautiful. You can sit at tables, in pillowy booths, upstairs with a view of the coffee bar, or spread out a long the sides by the roasters. The hive and bee 🐝 theme is fun and well done. Plus, who doesn’t love big neon and marquee signs!?
Love, love this place. The coffee is freshly made, amazing, and delicious. The sandwiches were just as delicious. I only discovered this great coffee shop yesterday and I have already been back for more twice already. If you love coffee and enjoy a really cool atmosphere to sit and drink you coffee, please go check them out. It’s such a wonderful place. The atmosphere and charm of the building is a must see .
The coffee is good I have had a hazelnut divinity and a vanilla buzz they were good and the food is not great, I have had avocado toast and turkey pesto sandwich. The music is not really that good because it’s a coffee shop the music should be more calm

This place is just so beautiful! Ample seating, fast service, gets busy. I had a açaí bowel which was delicious and filling. Had the Lavender Tea Latte with almond milk which was delicious all be it a bit too sweet. Will be coming back here! Also good music playing
I love the vibe of this place. Everyone seems to be having a great time. I ordered their Best Drink Ever (coffee plus lots of vanilla). I recommend getting it 1/4 sweet because, at full sweet, it tastes like a marshmallow more than like coffee.
This is a neat coffee shop with a lot of drink and food options! The Horchata Iced Latte is good, but a little too sweet for me. I ordered Americano, and it was good! They have two floors, so there is enough room if you want to hang out or chat with friends. The ambiance is 💯👌🏻!
This is an incredible coffee shop experience in Hillcrest. Their menu is expansive and there’s plenty of space to sit down to work, to socialize, or to enjoy a quieter environment right of the 163 highway. I love their atmosphere and interior design. They also sell whole bean and ground coffee. Which was excellent for a take home experience!
My favorite coffee shop in San Diego! I love their lavender black tea latte. Pistachio croissant sold out when I got there. 😭 This location is hard to find parking 🅿️🤝 I struggled but finally found one. 😁
