We went there a couple of times. The dishes have good portions. They are Cantonese cuisines that are mostly seafood and not too salty, spicy or sweet. The prices are very reasonable.
We used to live in the area and have been going here for years. We went for lunch today since we were visiting. Good to see that they still had lunch specials. Our server was very efficient and our food came fast. The prices are reasonable and the food is fresh tasting. The place is more rundown and cluttered.
This is a good place for regular family dinner. We liked all the dishes that we ordered. The price is very reasonable. Some tables seemed to be frequent customers.
The only thing that I would like to see on the menu is more Cantonese dishes.
Everything we had was quite good. The soup was very tasty and I especially liked the fried rice.
The restaurant is rather plain - it could use some sprucing up. The servers and staff were all very efficient but, except for the young hostess, not very personable. All business.
I’m no expert on Chinese food, but this place is overall pretty good. And not very expensive either. Our bill for four adults was around $50.
Old school Chinese restaurant family style, service is a little slow then rushed but food is delish and good sized portions. And even in todays economy very reasonably priced
My family and I have been going here for years! Since I was little we celebrated at Yenchim Garden and have never had a bad meal. Truly a staple in our home.
From the Chicken and Green Beans to the Wonton Soup, the price and quantity is fair. Besides the food, the crew here (San!) are welcoming and efficient.
If you don’t feel like braving the chaos off Convoy Street, enjoy your favorite Chinese food items closer to home at Yenchim Garden. My mom is vegetarian and enjoys their Vegetable Chow Mein. I have enjoyed all of their soups, my favorite being their wonton soup for its light broth and filling wontons.
Food come super quick and it’s always delicious. My favorites are the yenchim chicken, yenchim chow mein, and sesame chicken
The BEST Chinese food in San Diego, hands down! I thought I would never find it but I found it!!! We had an 8 course meal and not one bad dish. Each one had it's own flavor and uniqueness!
Best Chinese food in Rancho Penasquitos. Big portions too.
The food is superb. The service is spectacular. I have dined in & had take out numerous times. Please note that there is no delivery from this restaurant. Some of my favorite dishes are Sweet & Sour Shrimp, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Sesame Chicken, King Pao Chicken, House Special Pan Fried Noodles, & Egg Drop Soup. This is one of my absolute favorite Chinese Food Restaurants. My family also enjoys thus restaurant. We have been going there for years
My 1st time there, not too many people dining in but there were a lot of orders for pick up. I ordered a cup of sweet and sour soup, pork dumplings and the shrimp in lobster sauce. All which were good. The service was very good, the waiter wore a face mask and was very attentive. The dining area was nice but a little dated.
Yenchim Garden has been our favorite Chinese restaurant for the past 30 years. The food is great and the owner and staff are super friendly. Prices are really reasonable too. I highly recommend this local gem!
The food was really good. I really liked what we got. We got a dinner for two. Great food and friendly staff. The atmosphere was not the great.
Great food. I recommend the shrimp with lobster sauce. Decent lunch specials and great family packs for dinner at a great price point. The inside could use a remodel so i prefer take out.
One of the last mom and pop Chinese places North of Mira Mesa and likely one of the best you will get in this area.
The meat is always tender and delicious, the portions are big, and the house soup is amazing. Don't sleep on this place
