Love this place! The food is delicious and healthy. One of my favorite places in San Diego. The service is great and you can tell they have a passion for food and bringing people together.
The best place to get a Organic local sandwich in Downtown. You don't need to search for more, just go there ask for Rick he is an amazing guy !!!
My boyfriend and I shared the Cubano Clasico and The 47, both were very tasty. Definitely coming back.

I hit this place up every time I visit friends that live downtown. I've had 3 different sandwiches so far and each has been fricken awesome. The big tyme fries are amazing, well seasoned and the perfect crunch. Staff is always on point and genuinely cool people. My friend always gets the veggie option, chickpea sandwich and raves about it. High quality, genius ingredients. Not your standard deli sandwich. So far, the ham and brie sandwich is my favorite.
Their kitchen is bigger than their table seating, and it goes to show because they have an AWESOME food selection! Try them fries! They typically have a pretty big rush for lunch, so go right after or before if you want to avoid a long wait for food!

Outstanding atmosphere and even better sandwiches. We had the 47 and the cubano and bar far one of our favorite sandwich places in San Diego. Also good pricing for the size and quality. Will return to try to rest of the menu!
Excellent food. They know how to season the chicken so it is absolutely delicious. Best french fries we have ever had (and we are very picky). Really nice and welcoming people that make you feel at home.
Loved the couple that owns it and really enjoyed a few different things i tried. They have a great atmosphere, SUPER FRESH ingredients and perfect for lunch if you are downtown or near East Village. Quality food, vegetarian options, worldly flavors.

One of my favorite restaurants downtown. They use the best quality produce and sandwiches and salads are ALWAYS yummy. My favorites are SoCal cheesesteak, the 47 and Greek salad with grilled chicken. Staff is friendly and cares a lot about their guests!
I absolutely love this place, I love supporting locally owned restaurants and their Greek salad is to die for. I just moved from NYC so I know a good Greek salad, I always order mine with extra feta but that’s just a personal preference. Definitely recommend to everyone.
I love this place to death! Honestly the best, and healthiest, place I've ever visited in San Diego. I love the atmosphere at Big Thyme and not only is the staff there very pleasent, the owner is very personable and caring towards every customer who walks through his doors.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a restaurant that's just as loyal as you are.
I walk past like seven sandwich places to go here because it's by far the best. Awesome, friendly staff and delicious food. Everything I've tried is good, but their grilled cheese and tomato soup is the best ever!
Walked up from the Convention Center at lunch. I was totally exhausted from the morning sessions and absolutely ravenous. That said, their Cuban sandwich was a little slice of heaven in that moment. It is wake up in the middle of the night cravable. The owner(s?) were on site at this cozy little nook and the food came out pretty quick. Don't pass on this spot!
