Pho and only pho... and drinks. One menu, to sides, pho and drinks. Lots of choices though. Small, medium and large. I got the medium which to me was the same size you get at other pho places. I would absolutely go back to this place.

A quite affordable Vietnamese noodle with great serving of thick beef slice for its number "13" in this restaurant menu. The restaurant staff does not communicate fluently with non native english speaker thus customer should be patient if asking for something. Overall food and service was great, though the restaurant was not busy during the visit.

Well even tho I'm not vietnamese I have eaten a lot of Pho. As my ex girls family would say, each pho place has a different family recipie passed from generation to generation. My current girl is first gen Vietnamese and says that in the Vietnamese community, they regard this place as the best beef pho in town! And that's all they do! No broken rice, no appetizers just 1 page of pho options and one page of drink options: that's it-Now on to the review! I would say the beef pho was very good, the meat was a great balance of ultra thin raw beef, with the tasty and not-to-fatty brisket. My bowl was a #2 so it wasn't the extra large, but I felt it was a little shy on tendons and tripe. Tripe was a tad "gamier" than I would normally like and being asian I do like me some tripe. The broth itself was well balanced albeit the star anise was the most dominant flavor present. The beef stew was however, probably not from the same part of Vietnam than I'm used to, much too oily and many more miscellaneous beef pieces than even I like. The fresh French bread that accompanied it was fluffy warm and amazing however too bad the stew could have only been as good as the pho. 3.7 of 5 stars

Another great experience at Pho Hoa! I love this place. I always go out with the intention of trying someplace new, but then end up here. So many pho shops are a disappointment after Pho Hoa! Closest thing I have found to Hanoi pho bo in the states.

If you like Pho, and this is not your first bowl of pho, you will love it. This is very authentic, very delicious, and they only serve pho. Not chow Jew ho fun, no kidney or seafood, pure beef. Try the iced cappuccino with condensed milk, unless you are Vietnamese you have never had anything like this.

The Best Pho in San Diego!!!. My friends and I have all agreed this Pho restaurant is the BEST in SD!!!

They don't decorate at all, but the pho is extremely good, the meat, the broth, the noodles...

I am Vietnamese, have had a ton of Pho, all the Vietnamese people I know agree...even my friends who visit from Arizona- go straight here after several hours of driving....

Soup for a Rainy Day!. Ok, let me just say I'm not a huge beef fan. So, when I say I crave this soup, it's really a compliment. The service is fast and this place is always packed. The atmosphere, I think is kinda cool. It's kind of cafeteria style but anyone who's been in SD for a long time talks about how this was a strip club before. Anyways, glitter disco ball aside...Get the steak soup and load it up with fresh herbs like sweet basil, sprouts, then add plum sauce and siracha hot sauce. Great on cold, rainy days! Oh, slurp it all down with the coconut milk. Yum!

Darn good pho and service! I took myself out to this restaurant around 1pm on a Saturday. I was seated, ordered, and served very promptly. I order a number 2 pho with extra beef tendon and an iced coffee. It hit the spot! The iced coffee is definitely strong, not for those who are sensitive to the taste and effects of coffee. The total bill came out to $22, which is a little expensive for one person. However, it is so worth it, especially if you don't go out to eat pho very often. The quality is fantastic. I did not at all feel rushed or stared at by the servers.

Honestly, the pho was awesome and the service was fast and friendly. There was also plenty of parking. My only very minor complaint was that the men's restroom smelled a bit. Overall, it's a great place for authentic Vietnamese pho.

One of the best pho i ever had. They only sell pho. That's how you know this place is legit.

Without a doubt the best pho in San Diego. Get the #1 with the chili oil. Service is fast and the soup gets out to you within minutes of ordering. Servers are focused on turning tables which is totally fine considering they are serving the broth of the gods! So eat fast and tip fat! Parking is limited during peak hours and street parking around the area is usually congested.

Very good, aromatic pho broth! The small was big for me, and the iced coffee tastes like dark chocolate. (Also, it is literally a pho house— there are no other entrees. This place was recommended to me as the best pho in San Diego, which isn’t as blessed with excellent Vietnamese food as El Cahon.)

I can see why this place is a favorite! Delicious bowl of pho, speedy service, reasonable prices. Iced jasmine tea was nice and refreshing with the piping hot bowl of soup.

This is an OG no-frills spot for great Pho. The restaurant doesn't offer much else other than the Pho you're looking for but it's worth the trip for the great soup and noodles. We picked up to-go after ordering right in the restaurant and it only took about 10 minutes to get our food and get out. The service was super friendly and although our server struggled a bit with his English we were able to get exactly what we wanted and he was great. Definitely recommended for quick, delicious Pho.

The moment you are seated the server waited for you to order and within 5 mins pho is served. It was one of the quickest pho restaurants I ever been to. However, this restaurant is pho and beverage ONLY so make sure to plan ahead since there are no appetizers (egg-rolls, spring roll and etc) which explains the fast service. Overall, it’s one of the best pho I ever have in San Diego.

I got in and the server was standing at the door, there were plenty of people and plenty of open tables. I sat at a 6seat table with my girlfriend and we were given two menus. It was likes two pages. One was all the different variations of pho, one was drinks. We each order a large bowl and water. Our server noted them and we received accoutrement and the bowls in like 5 minutes. I got the number one with everything and it was delicious. My girlfriend got a number twelve and it was also delicious. I added basil and lime later, she only added basil for so long, then lime and Sriracha later. It was so good we didn't really need anything besides the pure soup. I ate my entire bowl in like another 10m. That Nevers happens. I paid at the desk and got a to go for my girlfriend. It came out to like $30. Beautiful experience 10/10, would recommend. If anyone rates this lower for service, just know they have their priorities in the wrong place.

Most authentic Phớ any San Diego visitor or even local could ever get, I recommend the "cafe su dua" aka vietnamese coffee with condensed milk with your pho if you want a sweet but potent drink on the side! Food comes out relatively quickly and the food speaks for itself really, phenomenal and genuine vietnamese flavor.

Easily the best pho in san diego. Parking can be brutal. Pho #1: 10/10. The broth is just so good. Plenty of fresh veggies and various meats. I get saute which is chili oil. I like to get another bowl located near the front and put the meat in there for easier dipping. If you get it to go get uncooked noodles and cook it yourself because the noodles will congeal into a blob. Service: 10/10 fast and easy. Atmosphere: 7/10 standard and the parking can suck. Price: $ 13.50 before tip.

Best pho in town! I do wish they had slightly later hours, and I wish they'd come around to refill water much more often ( I drink a lot of water and their cups are tiny, usually by the time I'm done with my meal my water cup has been empty for 15+ mins), or set up a self serve refill station. Regardless, it is hands-down the best pho broth in town. Highly recommend you occasionally get your bowl with some nuoc beo on the side. Keep in mind you can order small, medium, or large bowls!

I recently visited this cafe and had to be surprised. From the beginning the service was fast. As for the food, it was of good quality but not for their price. The dishes did not impress much. Me and my friends expected more considering the prices which were above average.

Mediocre Comfort food, nothing stunning. Problematic hygiene situation, with flies flying around. Beware of limited parking, this is in the middle of downtown. Overall, this restaurant is worth 15 minutes driving, if you live more than 30min away, don’t bother come all the way here just for the food.

Best Pho in San Diego. Been eating here since the 90s. Grew up eating pho here. It will always be the spot to take out of town guest or if I'm really craving Pho. Their broth is bomb. The noodles are next level. Just go and eat it, I can't describe that taste. You'll know a special pho joint when the broth got you thinking about the ingredients 🔥

I have been to many pho places and nothing compares to their soup. the broth is clean and savory flavor. they give generous portions of meat. it just suck that I have to fly to San Diego just to enjoy this place. shared it with my wife, she said it was so good she didn't even need to add anything to it... unfortunately, I think I ruined pho for her, she will not eat at any other pho place anymore 😕
