Jo's Diner - San Diego - Photo album

Elevated spin on classic diner fare in Mission Hills. The spinach and artichoke Benedict is divine with the brightness of the artichoke balancing the decadent creaminess of the hollandaise. The short rib French dip is hearty and delicious, featuring fork tender marinated beef on a soft bun with cris
I felt dinery (I know it’s not a word, but it’s how I felt). So I looked up diners near me (Eastlake area of Chula Vista). I stumbled on a 4.6 rating & checked out the menu. Unbeknownst to me, Jo’s diner was affiliated with Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives. While fasting I love to watch his sh
happy hour has just fantastic portion sizes for seniors.... the steak and onions and the roasted brussel sprouts were perfectly delicious!
Fantastic food! This is one of those restaurants that have so many great choices on their menu that you must go back to try as much as you can! Unfortunately I was visiting from out of town so I could only eat here once and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I ordered the Short Rib Benedict and
The presentation is as good as the food and service was... top notch! Server was very kind and knows customer service. I want to again
My husband and I stumbled across this spot after wanting to have breakfast for dinner but being a little too lazy to do it ourselves. We were so pleasantly surprised by this place! We came in within an hour of closing time, but the staff were so kind and gracious. We both loved our meals and look fo
Great dinner! We ate outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. The bacon wrapped meatloaf was very good. The beef short ribs were also delicious. We would order both again. Bonus points because we made it in time for happy hour!
My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed a few days ago and we were looking for somewhere that simply served mashed potatoes. When we were looking at places online, this seemed like a cozy little option in Mission Hills. We arrived around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. While we parked across the stre
The food is super good very clean. Sean was our waiter, he was friendly and quick. His recommendation was a win the French dip short ribs. They have out door sitting area it's small but cute. Inside very chic and most importantly CLEAN. Thumbs up 👍 A must stop when in town!
GREAT FOOD! I am a foodie who loves anything breakfast and this was the best breakfast I've had. The Salmon Benedict was delicious and the eggs were poached to perfection; the way they make their potatoes was great too. We also had French toast, loved it! And the chilaquiles was a new dish to my pal
Cute little spot in mission hills. We had an old fashioned root beer float with short ribs eggs Benedict, chiles toreados chicken pesto sandwich is amazing perfectly toasted bread with vine rippened tomatoes and red onion. French onion soup (no pic) was one of my favorites.
Really. Just serving up classics at the highest level. The food is AMAZING! I've never had APPLES in coleslwlaw but holy moly that was so different and so delicious. Can't wait to go back. Samantha was also super sweet and very helpful on what to do in the area.
Absolutely delicious!!! Great service, very friendly and welcoming atmosphere! Salad was so fresh! Thank you
Authentic American diner, yet food quality vastly exceeded our expectations! Staff was friendly as well. If they'd would have given me the menu printed in a slightly less shabby chic fashion and told me it was an upscaled restaurant I'd have believed it!
Had brunch here last week with a friend and it was fantastic! It was a warm day, but tables outside were in the shade, so we grabbed one of those. Started with a cup of good coffee. I was in the mood for breakfast, so I had the spinach artichoke benedict, add house-baked ham, and polenta for my side
Didn’t expect the sandwiches and side spring salad to be huge, it was a great surprise. Tuna melt was super tasty. Chicken pesto was okay. Side salad dressing was so good! Our kids didn’t like the chicken tenders, unfortunately. I would come again. Parking behind the building.
Came here after fasting labs and dropping blood sugar levels, looking for food-now! I got seated quickly and placed my order, spinach, tomato and goat cheese omelette with polenta and a cup of coffee. The coffee came almost immediately and it was strong, exactly how I like my coffee. The food was
Great breakfast and lunch spot in Mission Hills! Good service, good food, good coffee, and wifi! Also loved the Filipino lumpia, super crispy wrapper, well-seasoned ground beef filling, and served with a delicious garlic-vinegar sauce for authenticity! Will definitely come back for that.
