Hive Sushi Lounge - San Diego - Photo album

I've been to many sushi spots across the country and I was a big fan of the Hive Sushi Lounge. Sushi, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. They have some unique/creative special sushi rolls on the menu I enjoyed the "hot mess roll". The atmosphere was cozy/romantic/ and somewhat hip. Over
Incredibly friendly staff, decent sushi menu, small, cozy space. My biggest complaint is it’s only open for dinner. Would be perfect if I could get lunch there too! Our favorites are the tuna sliders with fries (see pic), the shinobi roll, and they have great seaweed seaweed salad (see pic).
The team working the night we dined were warm and friendly! Coldest Saporo pour in town! The seasonal tempura was fabulous...not your basic batter for sure... it had a slight sweetness or nutmeg hint to it..YUM! I love the shoestring fries and karate chicken..perfect comfort apps and we enjoyed the
Really good sushi ! Ryan was great with suggestions and overall friendly server ! He made the experience 10x better! Would highly recommend ! The environment was laid back!
Good place to hangout and relax. The service is okay, I have been to this place 4 times and the server or host never really check-up on you to see how you are doing. The food is good and prices are reasonable.
If you don't love this place its because you're stupid. The place is adorable the food and staff are fabulous and we never fail to have fun and enjoy amazing food even if I just go in by myself and sit at the bar. People will just talk to you, everyone is friendly and happy to be there and they ha
This place is awesome. The sushi is brilliant. Melt in your mouth tender with multiple, layered flavors that excite your tastebuds. Unique tastes that compliment and enhance each other as you eat it. Yummy on a O.M.G. level. The chefs are Artists. You can tell that they love what they do.
I know I'm late to the party about HIVE but Hot Mess entry was on point like CP3. If I knew it was going to be that amazing I would have ordered 2 and left it at that. I did have other sushi but this one was the stand alone.
Great food amazing atmosphere and the people are absolutely wonderful. The drink prices aren't bad. Will definitely return again.
Great service, delicious food. Just found our new favorite sushi spot downtown.
This place was great. I had great friendly helpful service. Food came in a timely manner. The Charashi bowl was amazing as was my locally caught Toro nigiri. The price was in line with both the quality of the food received and other similar places in San Diego that I've tried. I would return and bri
This is my favorite San Diego sushi spot. I know, there are a lot of places to go, but this one stole my heart. It's quiet, a great date place, they have a digital jukebox so you can enjoy your favorite sushi with your favorite music. Plus the service is always good to great. Parking is a bit of a b
Went on a Monday night around 9 pm. Only one other customer was there at the time. This restaurant has amazing food. BUT if you’re in a rush I wouldn’t suggest coming here. Expect to stay minimum of two hours. Enough time talk and have a few drinks as well. Our waitress was nice and polite.
Definitely coming back. Gotta try their baked rolls for sure. The fact that this sushi lounge was the only one open PAST 930PM was all the more reason for me to come through. I advise you to do the same.
