Came here for breakfast and was not disappointed. Very nice good customer service, the coffee was great. We got the chilaquiles and a hot Cheetos chicken burrito. No gross parts all meat and the chilaquiles tasted like my mom would make them ❤️ definitely coming back! Good quality and good portions at a good price

Fast and friendly service. Meals are accompanied by chips. There's a small salsa bar by the register fully stocked with various salsas and hot carrots. Cashier brings your food to your table if you opt to dine in. Food can also be ordered to go. The burrito is loaded with food. I ordered a bistec ranchero burrito and it was hot, flavorful, filling, and loaded with delicious juices from the tomatoes. The torta has refried beans smeared on each side of the torta and is also loaded with whatever filling you choose. Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite.

I think I finally found my Shrimp burrito spot. I am obviously not a Mexican. Growing up in San Francisco, I've had few Hispanic friends, and the closest taste experience was from burrito shops along San Francisco's Mission. During few years working in SW Houston, weekly TexMex did serve me well. But, my taste buds consistently seeked that California/Baja in TexMex burritos; Chipotle and Uberrito chain was my next best "Mexican". Now I am back in California, and have yet to find a burrito place... until this week. Granted, this is northern San Diego county. But half dozen of these so-called "Mexican" places in Northern San Diego county was missing something. Yet, we are so close. Maybe they replaced carbs/beans with fries (I actually do not know the full history on California burritos, but supposedly surfers brought them over). Some had these smokey-creamy-orange-colored-chipotle-hot sauce (very popular in San Jose since... 2005?). And for reasons unknown, these places charge like $10 for a burrito, chips sold separately. I guess I am still used to the $4 super burrito days of SF. El Rey Moro Tack Shop. I came for a lotto next door (it is over $500mil again!), then saw your big yellow "Taco Shop" signage. I had already bought my Chinese to go from work that day... yet, unknown force made me walk into your store. Stood there for a minute... a patron walks in and orders... so I ordered my shrimp burrito. Came home... ate half of my chinese... then I bit into your burrito. End of story. El Ray Moro, may you last as long as I am living in San Diego. Update: Since the remodel and change of cook, it no longer tastes the same. =( Bringing down my rating.

Great place for authentic Mexican comfort food. A small restaurant but suitable for a quick bite. They serve both wet burritos and dry American burritos. They've got a wide variety of dishes. If you're looking for Americanized mexican food you're better at Rigobertos or Cotixan. But this place will hit the spot if you're looking for traditional flavors and textures.

I saw this place while stopped at a red light and decided to give it a try. I first checked the reviews and then went in. I heard people talking in the kitchen, but since no one was at the counter, after a minute I rang the bell. The cashier came out of a side room and looked irritated. I asked for the difference between huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. I decided to order the huevos rancheros. It was served on a very large plate which made me happy because I didn't have breakfast and I was pretty hungry now that it was lunchtime. The food didn't disappoint! It was really good! The cashier, with apologies for bringing them late, brought over a roll of warm tortillas wrapped in foil, but I'd already finished most of my food. I ate two anyway and enjoyed them. I'll definitely be back and hope for friendlier service.

The rolled fish tacos and salsa bar + complimentary bag of chips were all fresh as could be and completely on point flavor-wise. 10/10 would recommend. I’m looking forward to trying more of their menu soon.

I’m am a bean and cheese burrito fanatic and I finally found the best bean and cheeser in the neighborhood! It’s so good!!! My only complaint about it is both times I’ve gotten it it completely falls apart within the first 4 or 5 bites. It’s messy but amazing. Would have given it 5 stars but the lady at the cash register isn’t very friendly. So I deducted a star. But I’ll definitely be back for the burrito!

everything we try from here is great. Burritos are huge and great price they also do $1.50 Taco Tuesday which is also delicious. The salsas are already put into containers which is super convenient.

Best hash brown burrito in town. Street tacos are exceptional. Visit at least 2x a month for a long time. The hot cheeto burrito is not a gimmick it's fire, must try. Edit: adding a star but also adding that If you are a tripas taco lover the tripas tacos are better quality and bigger at the PB location. Not mad... I love this business just saying cause I wish they were the same cause they cost the same. Both locations still 5 star

Best Birria and tacos de tripas in the neighborhood. But they won't let you use the bathroom. Maybe I should've specified I wanted to wash my hands. Cos they let the guy behind me wash his hands. Anyway, I come in here on my way home from work but it'll probably be the last time .
