I love this place. Great food, wonderful staff, and great ambiance. You should definitely try it if you haven't yet. The salt and pepper lobster, crab, calamari is Devine. I have yet tried the duck but can speak for their beef and soup dishes. I barely talk when I'm there. Just big eyed and a lot of mmmmm's.
Went here on Christmas. Arrived early enough that they got us right. Service was excellent. Most dim sum items still available. Hot and sour soup was very good as was the filet mignon with asparagus. Took pot stickers and chicken Lo Mein to go for the kids at home. This won't be our last visit.
I can't possiblycomw to San Diego without passing by Emerald on Convoy or its sister restaurant The Pearl On Bernardo Center Drive....the best Dim Sum in San Diego ...
Our favorite dim sum restaurant in San Diego. Always delicious food and many, many choices. Always leave satisfied and full!!!

Love the food, friendly, service is good. I love their dim sum.
Delicious food and excellent service. We'll be back next Christmas Eve for sure!
grabe ang sarap ng asian food, sana maulit muli ang mga libreng ganito
One of the best dim sum places ever.
Very good, albeit pricey dim sum. The $10 lobster deal was a definite plus. Overall the service was attentive and the food was good. I would return for dim sum.
Dim sum is still one of the best in town. No, we don't come for the service. But sometimes I get the cravings for the fried salt pepper garlic baby octopus. They also do a terrifi job on chicken feet. And something about the lat yao hot chili oil. I dont know what they put in it,but it's really teally good. I put it on practically everything!
Emerald is not a gem. Well, my insatiable desire for dim sum has been quenched thanks to Emerald. Overall, the dim sum was good, especially the pork shiu mai, which was perhaps one of the best I've ever had. Some of the food, particularly the ones that come around in a glass cart, were a little cold but edible. The service is what one would expect from a Chinese restaurant (perhaps slightly worse than the norm) and by the fourth time that my request for extra hot sauce had fallen on deaf ears I was getting just a bit inpatient. Overall, nine baskets ran us $40, which is not cheap.
Spensive. OK, dim sum is one of my favorite things. Ever. Emerald was really good, no doubt about that. I just hate feeling like I paid more for something than I should have. If you want a more reasonably priced place, you might want to try Jasmine.
It is a great place the food is really good and great variety of dishes, it is a good place to come with a group so you can share different dishes and try a little bit of everything. Portions are big, so come Hungry.
Frequent flyers of Emerald's. The food, the service and the were all attentive to their costumers needs. This place is highly recommended, their food is worth the price they're charging you. Try to visit this place and you'll be delighted with all the dishes that they will serve you.
They've brightened up the place. Service was awesome. We've always had a good experience here. Food was great as well.
Only it shouldn't charge the tea $3 per person. For good business model it should be complimentary.
Best Dim Sum in San Diego - albeit more expensive than the alternatives.
Good food but they just accept payment in cash and they charge for the To Go Box 🤦♂️
Great place for some dim sum. They also have menu options for you to choose as well
Some friends took me here and it's the best Dim sum I've ever had. Staff loves to chat and explain what everything is. Recommend getting there early before the crowd.

The food was pretty good. My family would order here again to try it again, but we have experienced better from other restaurants.
Unexpected high quality dimsum, friendly staff.
I've been coming here as a kid and this place is still one of my go tos for dimsum in San Diego. We were quite excited that they were open on Xmas eve and that they had dimsum all day. The food came quick, tasted great, and service was pretty good.
