This place has been here for probably 50 years and while their menu has changed slightly, it's a nostalgic, throwback style beach town establishment. A perfect stop after a day at the beach. You order your cone, sundae or food at a walk-up window and can take it to go or eat at one of their outdoor picnic tables. Parking is challenging and so is eating the dipped and sprinkled soft-serve cones before they melt - but that's all part of the experience! We've been taking our kids and their friends here every summer since they were little. Great memories made here.
Excellent pricing on the items. 4 tables for family seating with 1 smaller yellow table for the kiddos. Nice variety of ice cream flavors and the like. Parking can be a challenge but once you're dipping in ice cream, you'll be in a cool Frostie dream.
I haven't had soft serve ice cream in years, and honestly I forgot how incredible it is. If you wanna revisit your childhood, come here and get the half and half chocolate/vanilla. It's heavenly.
Always a treat.. Great ice cream and food. Such a nice location in Pacific Beach. Outdoor seating. No inside area. Just always fun.

Love Mr.Frostie! It's been a staple of PB since 1949 & I'm so happy its in the neighborhood. The crew is very friendly, and they get the ice cream out very quickly too!
A fun little place to get ice cream while out walking around shopping and having a nice day. Friendly super quick service and tasty treats! I couldn't finish mine and neither could my friend.

It’s hard to not love Mr. Frostie. A San Diego ice cream staple, this spot has never disappointed me. They have a pretty big selection, ranging from sundaes to splits to various dipped ice cream cones. I’ve always been partial to the odd combo of cherry-dipped coffee ice cream. It’s also pretty cheap and the location lends itself to a nice stroll while eating/licking (they also have outside seating). Definitely gotta hit Mr. Frostie whether you’re exploring San Diego or just a native on another beach day.
Ice cream! It is yummy and refreshing. The service is fast and efficient. It reminds me of a place I visited as a youth. My husband loves the strawberry shakes, and I like the small twist cone.
The ice cream was so good! My family and I loved meeting our relatives and friends here for dessert after dinner. The staff was kind and generous with their service.

I've been coming here since a kid and there's always a line no matter what time of day. If you love ice cream, banana splits, malted shakes dirt cups, or just simply chocolate and vanilla on a cone dipped in more chocolate, you need to come here!!
I have loved this place since I was little. The milkshakes are made old school. Watch your calories, but lick your lips for something cold and yummy.
Classic soft serve ice cream sundaes. Large banana split or hot fudge sundaes with all the toppings for only $5. I got the "All American" it was definitely worth the price after a hot sunny day. Check it out after a long day at the beach. They have soft serve cones and shakes too. It a San Diego family tradition.
