La Ciccia - San Francisco - Photo album

I was referred to this place by a friend. It’s so hard to make a reservation, so we decided to walk in and lucky us, we got bar seating. The food is absolutely amazing with generous portion. I enjoyed the calamari the most with its tenderness, and olive oil aroma. Even though this place is known for
It not only offers exceptional food but also provides a lovely, cozy environment that makes it a standout dining destination. Whether you're a local looking for a hidden gem or a visitor wanting an authentic taste of Italy, this restaurant is a must-try.
I've been hearing high praises from my Italian friends about this place for couple years now. Finally decided to do my birthday dinner here. What a gem! Hands down, the best Italian place I've been in SF and I live in North Beach! The entire staff is amazing and accomodated our many challenging re
Very tasty food, but I expected more at the price point. The Baby Octopus Stew was spectacular. Very tender, just spicy enough, and incredibly rich. The calamari was refreshingly vibrant. The Chocolate Panna Cotta was also well executed. Our two mains were somewhat underwhelming. The sea urchin p
Top quality flavor, pasta with a wonderful bounce. Seafood excellent. Welcoming atmosphere, authentic taste, wine list of varietals hard-to-find outside of Sardinia. A San Francisco gem.
What a gem! Friends took me to La Ciccia last week for a fabulous Sardinian dinner. The atmosphere, service and food were all excellent. You will need a reservation. We were there mid-week and the place was packed with happy diners. Probably a local favorite. The fish I got (see photo) was a miracle
Sweet little neighborhood spot with authentic Sardinian (Italian) food. We ordered too much food but it was delicious so not regretted. Charmingly personal service. Why not 5 stars? Food presentation could use an update, as could the dining room. Prices are on the high side for what you're getting.
I’m a huge fan of Italian food (well, who isn’t) but this is the first time I had Sardinia cuisine and… given the price, the whole experience didn’t impress me much. I’d say overall 3.5-4 stars. The spaghettis and the lamb were nice but not super impressive, the portions were small, and the service
My first visit. Not your standard Italian dishes. Four of us shared octopus & squid appetizers, mushroom and pork ragu pastas, shrimp and lamb mains family style. All were excellent and ample portions. Recommended Italian rose was excellent too. Attentive and helpful service. Easy access via three
great Italian food in a very intimate dining space with casual but friendly service.
Bottarga pasta was the star of the meal; the pasta was so chewy and it felt like I’m having a spoonful of sea. I wish I can go back and have it again soon! Sea urchin pasta was delicious too, but not too extraordinary. The roasted calamari appetizer was great; the texture of calamari was soft and t
Very tasty. Authentic Italian cuisine. Get the octopus stew. Delicious! Pastas, specials are delicious. Washed it down with a Cabernet.
If you are a seafood pasta lover, definitely recommend this place. I personally liked the uni pasta, very rich and saucy. Fish roe pasta, maybe i thought more of carbonara. If you dont like fish smell, probably try another one. The staffs are really friendly, i think reservation is a must!
Absolutely delicious! The squid and lamb dish were such a delight. Definitely worth a try.
Amazing Sardinian restaurant. We were party of 4 and had 2 antipasti, 3 pasta, 1 veggie, and 1 fish dish, plus two bottles of wine. We were able to finish most of them but so full afterwards. Bottarica tasted really good. Also sea urchin pasta and mushroom pasta were nice as well. Staffs are knowl
Very fresh tasting food. Portions are smaller, but we didn't mind. The chocolate Panna Cotta was a hit. Try the gnocchi. We ate so fast we didn't get pics except for the flatbread.
