Great little place for breakfast
There is a lot on offer for breakfast from french toast and pancakes to eggs, bacon etc. I chose eggs and toast with millionaire's bacon and hash brown. Delicious! The bacon is very different, quite rich with chilli seeds but worth a try. The only downside to this coffee shop is the absence of an espresso machine.
This is a good solid breakfast place. They are very efficient in a small space. I didn’t try the millionaire’s bacon, but I had the Californian omelet with hash browns. The hash browns were cooked perfectly, the omelet was good. No complaints.
This place is really good for breakfast and coffee . Ambiance and staff was really good . Food was really good to . I enjoyed very their with my friends
This was close to where I was staying so I decided to visit for Breakfast given the good reviews on here. I was anticipating it being busy so tried to go as early as I could, but even then still ended up in a queue of around 30 mins. I think to get seated straight away you need to be there well before 8:30.
Once seated, I ordered the Swedish pancake as this seemed like something different. It terms of taste it was very similar to pancakes you will get in other diners, but it was much bigger. It was well presented with a dusting of powdered sugar, and plenty of fruit to accompany it along with butter. The drip coffee was quiet nice as well. The diner is quite small, with a narrow layout out so does have a nice cosy ambience. Slightly expensive for what you get, but that is standard in SF.
This coffee shop is great , loved everything of this place. Food and staff both were amazing and marvelous. You'll find healthy and tasty food here.😃
If you're looking for an amazing place to go for breakfast in the Union Square area, look no further than the Taylor Street Coffee Shop. I went for the Blackstone Benedict with millionaire bacon & mushrooms, and a fresh fruit mix on the side. Talk about the breakfast of champions! The thickly cut millionaire bacon is a must try, and has a sweet caramelised finish. Delicious. I didn't actually try the coffee, but the OJ was very good, and I can honestly say the breakfast was probably one of the best (if not, the best) I've had during a number of visits to the US.
Definitely a good breakfast and lunch place. There is a long line to enter but it doesn’t take more than 15 minutes to sit. The “millionaires bacon” is a must try - but next time I will prefer the classical bacon. May be good if you have a sweet tooth for taste - which I don’t. A well over average grade for the classical USA breakfast with real (not cubed potatoes) hash browns. Omelettes were also good. Not a “must try” but a good breakfast to enjoy ...
Small busy and very good. The service is spot on and the food is an "8". Would recommend. Don't be afraid of the line the staff moves it along quickly.
The breakfast here is off the charts! We arrived at 8:40am on a Sunday morning. The queue was out the door, but we were seated within 20 mins. There are about 20-25 seats in the back.
It is long and narrow, and standing in the queue we got to see the staff in action. They are like a well oiled machine. No shouting, just quietly, methodically and efficiently churning out plate after plate of perfect breakfasts. We also got to put a pin in a map to show where we were from, which is a really nice touch!
I had the hollandaise hash with a side of millionaires bacon. It was exceptional! The hollandaise hash was surprisingly hot and spicy. The waitress did tell me that and she wasn't wrong. It was delicious though.
The millionaires bacon is a MUST! It was absolutely delicious!
My friend had the citrus French toast and she really loved it too.
Overall I couldn't recommend this place higher. It is a must, if you want an authentic San Fransisco breakfast experience!
Home of the millionaire Bacon. I love Bacon ... this place won the contest hands down.
Small and quaint little place but very well run. Took us 10 min to get a table (6 parties in front of us) and Considering there are only 10 tables that's great. Tables of two line one side and tables of four line the other.
I order the eggs and millionaire Bacon. He ordered California omelette. Mine was devine. Eggs were standard, toast too. Hash browns were less to be desired but the bacon. O.m.g. the bacon. Who cares about mediocre hash browns with bacon like that. (He liked his omelette too. Fresh he said.)
Oh my! This is hands down one of my favourite breakfast place in SF. I enjoyed it so much that i went for more the next day. The wait for the tables isn't too long. I only had to wait 10-15mins max. (I don't like waiting to be seated at any restaurant for more than 15 mins. 😊)
The hashbrowbs are so delicious. The benedict, to fried eggs,to egg white or regular omelette and pancakes, all are perfectly cooked and very tasty.
You gotta try it.

The food is delicious !!!! We went 2 times and loved it . It's a little pricey - but all of San Fran is pricey. The food is really really good !!!!!!
The line is well worth the wait. Taylor's special certainly did not disappoint. At first we were hesitant to wait as we could barely see inside, however as the line got shorter we could see the cooks making rectangle sheets of Hashbrown, some topped with all sorts of toppings and some left plain. We ordered the spring omelette, Taylor's special, scrambled eggs and a side of their amazing Millionaire Bacon. I would happily wait in line again for the Hashbrown & bacon
Found this place on Zomato and have to say the rating is accurate.
I ordered a hot melt sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed the spice and flavor of it.
Bookmarked it as a place to go back to the next time I visit.
Line poured out the door of this VERY small venue.... But we were seated quickly(ten minutes, max). Omelettes are excellent, one of my party had the signature hash... Pretty good from my bite! I had mushroom and Swiss omelette with local wheat bread toast... Excellent! Good coffee, in spite what other reviewers have said.... Will return when I'm in Nob Hill again...
Great breakfast. Great service. Crab omelette is outstanding. Millionaire bacon is good, too. Definitely going back. No line at 8:30, but by 9:30, out the door.

Liked the sailor's hash and Taylor hash. Not super cheap but the servings were substantial. The line moved fairly quickly and the service was fine.

The line can be a bit daunting, but it moves quickly. The eggs Benedict were worth the wait. The food is much better (and less expensive) than other nearby options.
Good. We were worried by the line up, but it moved quite quickly. Service was friendly, food was hit and miss. I had a spicy scramble (I can't remember the exact menu name), which I really liked. GF had the crab benny, which had waaaay too much spinach that threw the flavour off a bit. Nonetheless we'd go back for sure.
Outstanding! Very close to the Hilton (and other major hotels) where the breakfast buffet is $30.
Don't ne impress by the Line-up, just walk in and you'll be seated. Food and service amazing. The Taylor Coffee special hash was excellent.

Excellent breakfast spot. California avocado omelett was the best I've ever had. Service was efficient/ attentive. Oj was very delicious too. Definitely worth checking out.

A hidden gem in Union Square. I tried their Chef Special breakfast and its loaded, I also ordered the side thin pancake which did not appear like a side dish to me! Really nice filling portions! Highly recommended the place if your are in the area. Small seating area inside; had a small lineup before I sat but was okay!
Food was excellent! The star was the French toast which we chose to add fresh berries to. The restaurant is small and there was only one server working; however, our food came quickly and our waitress was very attentive.
I stayed in San Francisco for a week and hit this place up twice. It was the best breakfast I had all week. I gave a big tip because this one woman is running the whole front of house while her partners man the grill and dishes. Very tiny space. If there is a line, it's worth the wait!
Came here for an early morning breakfast and it was delicious! The service was super fast and was seated quickly. I do notice that after a while it did get really crowded since they got busier so I do recommend coming when they just open it. The area did feel unsafe as just on the same block was a lot of homeless people so do be careful. Try walking on a different road that is less crowded when trying to get here.

Such a great place! I really enjoyed my scrambled eggs with chorizo and cherry peppers. The fruits were fresh, everything was delicious. Loved the atmosphere too
Awesome breakfast in an itty bitty space. The preparation and presentation are fine chef quality. Despite appearances this is not your regular greasy spoon diner. Millionaire Bacon proudly served. My eggs Benedict were done to perfection.
The food is very good and everything we ordered was yummy. I'd recommend the place for that reason alone. The service was actually quite poor. Our server was busy on her phone and I just had to resort to getting up and going to her to ask for the menu and for the check. The place looks really dodgy on the outside but is very decent inside. That contrast makes the place seem nicer than it is. It's nice but nothing special as far as atmosphere is concerned.
Must try the millionaire bacon! Small interior with about 10 table so can get crowded. Food is better than most breakfast places around. The interior is slightly dated but very clean. The hash is good and the burgers are well prepared too. Only opens in the morning closes after lunch time.
