We were visiting and searched for a great Taqueria in the Misson District and we found it!! The beef tongue taco is to die for, tender and perfectly seasoned and cooked. Don't let the long line scare you it moves faster than you think and it's worth every precious moment in line!

We were visiting San Francisco and had never been to the Mission District. We were delightfully impressed. The restaurant was bustling with great energy. Loved the communal seating in order for everyone to share a good meal. My family ordered burritos and agua de fresa. The carne asada burritos were delicious. They were simple, no frills but packed with good flavor. We wanted more but the line was too long to get back in. We will have to wait until the next time we are back in town to try more from the menu.

Solid burritos and chip+salsa. Loved the salsa verde on the table too. Very fresh guac! Came on a Sunday at noon and was seated within 10min. Would recommend calling in ahead and just picking up if it’s a very busy time (lunch for example).

The experience and service were overall good but the food was mediocre. I went there on a Sunday morning around 11:45, and there was no line to get in. I got two carnitas tacos, and upon ordering, they told me the tacos came with beans and Pico. I said it was ok thinking they'd be on the side. Speaking as a Mexican from Mexico city that grew up in Socal, I was unimpressed by a few things. First, I don't think their tortillas are fresh. It seems that they use prepackaged tortillas from the grocery store. On top of that, the tortillas were slightly cold. Secondly, they put beans and pico de gallon IN the taco, but give no limes, cilantro or onions (I didn't ask, but also didn't see them anywhere). The meat was already dry, and the beans just made the taco drier. It didn't make sense to me that they would even think to put the beans in the tacos. The Pico was just ok, and the salsa was not very flavorful. Overall I was disappointed with the food, and I did not think it was worth 10 dollars plus tip. I don't think this restaurant deserves the hype it gets. I haven't tried the burritos, and I'm thinking that's probably what people regularly order, but I think that if a restaurant has a 4.6 on Google, I can reasonably expect all of its food to be a 4.6, not just one item.

Best in San Francisco. Fresh ingredients and nice size portions. Order and pay at the door. Dine at handcrafted leather stools and wood tables.

Very good burrito comparing with other places. It is usually busy and you will need to wait outside first. Once they have available seats, you will pay and get in. It will take about 5-10 minutes to get your food after you order and pay. There is a nice option: you can ask them to make the wrapper grilled so it is kind of crispy.

Best burrito in San Francisco. No rice inside - but incredibly delicious comfort food. Remember to get it toasted!

BEST burrito I’ve ever had in my life. During our time in San Fran, came back here twice and will gladly fly back from Canada one day to have again. Quality! Size! Price! AMAZING!

line to order went fast and they have a line for who gets a table next which is nice so you don’t have to try and get one yourself! try the lengua since this isn’t common at other taco spots, but i thought carnitas was pretty standard. strawberry agua fresca was very good

An easy, delicious spot that’s not declined one bit over the years. Came 10 years ago, and the burrito is still spot on. Tried the super taco, which I thought might be massive but anyone can easily take down 2. Lighting fast service and great value.

These are my fav tacos in SF so far, but the super tacos are about $9 each. So I only go there every once in a while. There’s always a line, especially on the weekends. It is self serve, but the staff are great and check to make sure you are all good. The only problem is that if you have to go back to the cashier if you want to order something else, but it saved me money because I didn’t want to bother and it prevented me from over eating. You definitely have to go super or go home! The tacos are a good size. My only critique is that the steak taco should be fresh and hot for these prices. Also the taco dorado is not fried, it’s just dipped in the grease. That’s why I’m giving them a 4 out of 5. However, the tacos are good overall and definitely need to stop by and check it out.

The vegetarian tacos are pretty average, the tacos itself are bland but their green sauce is incredible! The veggie quesadilla was better than the tacos for sure! The green sauce is the reason for 1 extra star. You have to order before you sit and seating is pretty limited. Parking is tight around as well.

One of the best mexican tacos in SF! While they have vegetarian options too, but the Taco de lengua (beef tongue) is "the" Taco you've got to try here. The burritos are fantastic - I got the one with chicken, and it was so tender and delicious. The salsas are not that spicy and have been adjusted to the clientele, while still a tad spicier. Also, the chips and salsa were delicious. The line to enter was really long, and rightly so! The seating space inside is pretty small, and generally packed. You can take your food to go and enjoy it at thw Mission Dolores park a few bus stops or a short 15 min walk away. The place certainly lives up to its name: "La Taqueria" (The Taco Place). Thank you amigos, we will be back!!

Hands down the best tacos and burritos I have ever had in my life! We got the carne asada super burrito, as well as the carnitas and cabeza regular tacos. They were simply delicious and mouthwatering. I cannot wait to go back and try the tongue, chorizo, and pollo! The line is SO worth the hype. P.S: make sure to get your burrito dorado style and always do half and half super burrito.

Fire tacos is all I have to say. Favorite are the beef and the lengua tacos. Super tender meat. You order at the door and pay the cashier inside to the left. And wait for you number to be called. There's indoor seating with a fast and casual ambiance.

La Taqueria has very flavorful Carne Asada, and that's the main reason I come here. They also have very fresh ingredients and have a great track record. Most places went down hill in quality after the plandemic, but this place stayed top-notch. Staff is very friendly and you can see the chefs working very hard. They keep the inside clean, and they usually have a line right when they open at 11 am. Don't give up while looking for parking because it's worth it! 😉
