Incredible chemist mix seltzer’s and flavors and come up with luscious fountain drinks. This is a fun place for ice cream and so very good. We'll definitely go back.

Make sure to have your ice cream in a waffle cone. Cones are baked fresh daily and it has the perfect blend of buttery goodness and crispiness . Oh and the ice creams are quite yummy too. Please do not forget to tip your ice cream server .

Went to the ice cream bar for the first time with my friend. Got the root beer float and the hot butterscotch. I have no words. I can never have a root beer float the same way ever again. The hot butterscotch was so creamy and buttery smooth. Just oh my god

I'm back in Eugene, Oregon now but I'm seriously craving your ice-cream. My daughter and I visited a couple weeks ago and we loved it. First of all, our server was wonderful. He was friendly and helpful, and had a smile the whole time we were there. I got a hot fudge sundae with the Banana Pudding and Caramelized Honey. What a beautiful pairing with that superb hot fudge. But the standout was the Caramelized Honey. I'm wishing I was there right now so I could indulge once again.

How can you not love The Ice Cream Bar? The location of Cole Valley is great for this gem and love the fact that despite offering boozy ice cream, families and those of any ages can join in on the fun. They have a small bar area but we all got non alcoholic drinks. The affogato HITS I got butterscotch ice cream and it came with espresso pre-mixed. My sister got vanilla affogato and she said she really liked it

I recently visited Ice Cream Bar and was blown away by the cool, vintage ambiance of the place. The decor is very unique and adds to the overall experience. The indoor seating is ample and comfortable, making it a great place to hang out with friends. The staff at Ice Cream Bar is also very kind and welcoming, making you feel right at home. I ordered the Brownie with Ice Cream and opted for the Creme Fraiche and Butterscotch flavors. While the brownie may have been dry, the ice cream was absolutely delicious! Both flavors were rich and creamy, and definitely worth trying. Overall, Ice Cream Bar is a great place to visit for its vintage and cool ambiance, ample indoor seating, friendly staff, and delicious ice cream.

A great ice cream spot at ANY time of day. I love the atmosphere quite a bit and enjoyed coming here in the late evening. I tried 3 different flavors and all were delicious! Fudge brownie (maybe the best one), Mint Chip, and Carrot Cake.

Excellent quality ice cream. Excellent service. A great experience all around. Flavors are pretty straight forward which I love. The place is very clean with a awesome retro feel/look. Can't wait to come back to try different flavors. The Banana Pudding ice cream was delightful. The Milk Chocolate ice was amazing. Highly recommend the Ice Cream Bar

Always a treat. The Root Beer float is a favorite. I’m glad the soda glasses are back. A real soda is not the same in a plastic cup. Sitting at the soda fountain watching the Soda Jerk is the second best part. The ceiling is from an old building in Mackinac, Michigan. Great nostalgic vibe with cool little details throughout. Thanks Ice Cream bar

Rare and nostalgic with quality treats! Had the brownie sundae with vanilla and coffee ice cream and a slice of nectarine-raspberry pie warmed up. The desserts, the atmosphere, and the staff were all incredible.

This is one of the best ice cream place in SF, because it's not just sugar + sugar on top of sugar as with most American desserts. They actually have many ingredient that goes into their flavor and requires a keen sense of taste to appreciate the subtlety. As such, the ice cream was not overly sweet that makes you so full that you don't want to eat anymore. The banana split was so good that we finish the entire thing along with the affogato. The whole place has the look and feel of a 70's/80's diner. Too bad their soda fountain was broken. We would definitely come back again for that.

Got there before they opened and there were already people waiting for the business to open, I took that as a good sign. Nice Art-Deco design. I had the Dublin Honey, my daughter had the Fortunado's Reviver and her friend had the Royal Red. Both of those were tasty. I think on my next visit I'm going to try the Milkshake/Malt...those looked good. Had tastes of their ice cream and was not disappointed either

Very retro place to hang, I got the mango passion fruit and dark chocolate which are both vegan and I thought they were really good, both those ice creams were really smooth and delicious

Wonderful ice cream shop and classic soda fountain. Ice cream sandwiches, banana splits and so much more. They have classic flavors and seasonal ones. They also serve a few alcoholic beverages and malts or milkshakes with a little extra. Very popular so often crowded just take a number and they'll get to you quickly. If you only want something from the Soda Fountain you can simply head back to it and order there. There are pints available to go with no wait.

This place is so cute and mostly fun. We sat at the soda bar and were told we couldn't order ice cream there.... okay, but we wanted sodas and ice cream, too... but whatever. So we go to order our affogato and root beer float at the ice cream counter... and we weren't sure how/where to pay, so we order our Mr.Pepper too and paid for it all... then we sat at the soda bar, and the soda jerk made everything for us anyway. Why was it so confusing? Why couldn't we just order it at the soda bar? (As if they aren't parts of the same establishment.) It would have been nice if the soda jerk was at least a little bit friendly. I hate sitting at a bar feeling like I'm not welcome there. The Mr.Pepper soda was SO GOOD. The root beer float was good. The affogato was NOT good - it was like an iceberg- a scoop of ice cream floating in a sea of strong-ish coffee, not espresso.

Love this place for our weekly date night. We have been going for several years. Banana split is our favorite. The atmosphere is wonderful, ice cream made on site and delicious, and staff always welcoming and friendly.
