12th floor of the hotel. There’s a dress code so do check that out before heading there.
Service was good and the crab cakes and bone in New York was quite amazing. A table by the window offered a good view of the city. Would come back again next time in SF.
Classy place, by reservation only. Dress is business casual. I wore a pair of dark Jeans a long sleeve button up shirt and dress shoes. I felt I was dressed ok. Many wear coats and most women wear a dress. Just a heads up. The sides are fairly large, two can easily share. The piano music is very nice. The room is dimmed for a romantic and classy atmosphere.
I have been here twice and plan to return. The dishes are pricey but not anymore you'd expect from a high end restaurant with such a great view.
Also they don't serve wine by the glass, but they have half bottles of wine so you don't have to commit to a whole bottle in case your appetizer calls for a white and dinner for a bold red.
They have a full bar as well in case you want a cocktail with your dinner.
Staff is nice and attentive. I enjoyed my entire dinner without feeling the need to look around and seek someone.
Customer service was great! Nice view! Food came out quick, and delicious!
Again, Leatherneck Steakhouse at the Marines' Memorial does not disappoint. As I have mentioned before, this is my Go-To place for celebrations and/or business meals where you need to converse with your guests. Edda the Manager ensures you are welcomed and your visit is perfect. Recently, they added the ribeye to the lunch menu. While yes, heavy for lunch time fare, I couldn't pass this up. Mated with their famous (yes, if you know Leatherneck you know this) truffle tater tots, it was Heavenly.
And to top it off, the birthday girl got treated to a custom created carrot cake desert (see the photo).
Under the direction of GM Michael Allen, Leatherneck Steakhouse has only improved their game in recent years. It is a must visit if you want great food while enjoying a view of San Francisco that is breath taking.
Where do I start? Best steak I have had in a long time. I always get the ribeye with a side of Mac and cheese. Wife has had the sea bass in the past, and it is just wonderful. Flaky and tender. Jerome is always willing to play your favorite song on the piano.
I always order the Marine Memorial Club Merlot, because, well it's just delicious. The bartenders are friendly, so is the host and wait staff. The cooks, well, they do an amazing job. Thanks to Chef Billy for everything!
The view from the Steakhouse is incredible and the food and service perfect.
Amazing steakhouse with great views of the city. Historic and elegant; an excellent way to spend an evening.
Really nice meal - great entrees and sides and very friendly and prompt service. A nice meal done the right way.
A great spot to get perfectly cooked meat with a stunning view. Very noisy and a bit old fashioned but meat lovers need to stop by.
I made reservations here for Valentine's day without ever having been here and couldn't have been more pleased with my choice.
Upon getting out of the elevator to the 12th floor of this building we were greeted warmly and advised our table would be ready shortly. After just a few minutes we were escorted to our window side table which had an amazing view of the city.
The atmosphere was elegant and romantic. They had a pianist playing which added a soothing background to the sounds of the restaurant. It was lively but quiet enough to have a conversation in the lowest of voices with ease.
The service was good, but not great, we didn't get checked in on as often as we would have liked but perhaps the waiter was just giving us privacy on Valentine's day.
The food was outstanding. The oysters rockefeller were delicious was were the complimentary amuse bus. The steaks were fantastic even though though switched the the rarity of our steaks.
I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a romantic dinner.
By far the best views we had at any restaurant in the city. This place is upscale, so dress appropriately. There's live piano and very few tables. Our steak came out underdone, so make sure to go a little more well than you usually do. The mashed potatoes were excellent, and the Mac and Cheese was delicious. The prices are high but very reasonable, especially considering the location and food quality. Definitely recommend for tourists looking for great views and great food.
I just ate the best New York striploin of my life. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The steak-sauce that came with it would be great on other steaks, but completely unnecessary in this case since the steaks flavor was so good on it's own. The service was also excellent. I'd definitely recommend eating here if you get the chance.
My family and I recently made a trip to San Fran and the Marines Memorial Club/Leatherneck Steakhouse was a must stop for us. We weren't disappointed! The ambiance was great with a view of the city and Marine Corps memorabilia. The sides are served family style. The oysters with spinach and cheese were delicious! We all had a steak and they were cooked well with great flavor. This is a must for all especially those with family members in the Marine Corps. On the way back down to the lobby, we stopped at a few levels to check out the other memorabilia. The hotel did a great job capturing the history of the Marine Corps all throughout.
Not prime quality, but a reasonable steak at a reasonable price.
They serve their bread with butter and a roasted garlic which is a nice touch.
Nice location and not usually too crowded because people don't realize that the steak house is open to the public. The steakhouse is within the Marines Memorial Club.
They say that dress code is business casual but when I was there I saw many people in casual clothes.
Nice food with a great view. The staff are friendly and seem to want you to have a good time. It wasn't too noisy when we went for a mid-week dinner. One of the best meals I had in SF.
