Le Colonial - San Francisco - Photo album

It had been so long since my last visit, maybe 20 years ago. I forgot that the restaurant is still here and how fantastic it is ! Highly recommend! There was a table behind us speaking French - that is an endorsement right ! Highly recommend: vietnamese crepe, crab imperial roll. Shaken bee
The space was intimate, warm, and exceptionally decorated. The server gave great recommendations. I enjoyed the passion fruit cocktails with the earthy cilantro and spicy tone-based tequila. The crispy vegetarian spring rolls were delicious, and the Beef stir-fried Criphy Pho was flavorful!! The Ang
Super impressive ‘high end’ Vietnamese cuisine. Great service, fun menu with all the classics, even the cocktails were done right. Highly recommend you give it a try.
Ok, so hear me out, the place is beautiful and the food is delicious! If you want some great cuisine, go here! The service was wonderful, they are attentive and kind. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is the desserts could use some work. The cheesecake is actually quiet good! However the Crem
Had dinner here a few nights ago and it was sensational. Absolutely 5 star service, meal and atmosphere. Such a special spot, with caring staff. Was with a big group and we had about 5-6 appetizers, and two sides and each had an entree and every single thing I tried was incredible. Highly recommend!
We were a party of 12. No food was left behind! :D I’m a huge fan of Le Colonial in Chicago. We decided to try the one in San Francisco. We’re so glad we did! Everything we ordered was delicious. A couple of times we doubled up on certain dishes because they were just that good! It was a fairly b
I had such a fantastic time here , From the drinks to the food everything was so good, it’s such a lovely colonial style restaurant. I ordered a Mai tai and my husband ordered tamarind margarita. Both were great, I loved the decor , there’s outdoor patio seating and indoor seating. Clean tables ,pla
We loved it, everything was good. The food, the service, the people, Armando specifically, he treated us great, we told him it was our first time and he took care of making us feel at home. We definitely will come back.
Le Colonial has great food and a beautiful garden seating area. There is even a pay phone if you need to make a call. Though the chairs fit well, lumbar support is to be desired. I am slightly confused why the music has ads every ten minutes or so through what appears to be the same jingle. Never th
Amazing service. Pretty welcoming. They have a pretty interesting variation of chillean sea bass cooked in banana leaves. Garlic noodles were overcooked, it was the only miss on the dinner. Amazingly refreshing spring rolls. Don't forget to check happy hour till 8pm (at least) on upstairs bar.
This place was amazing! I really did not expect to be blown away by this dinner, but I was totally surprised. To be honest, the appetizers alone were so heavenly, I could have not eaten a main course and be completely fine, they were fulfilling and delicious. Definitely get the hoisin ribs! The meal
One of the best meals I’ve had in SF! Firstly, get the sea bass. The waitress recommended and I couldn’t have been happier with the suggestion. The cocktails were tasty as well - I had the beast and it was a nice combination of my favorite things. The garlic prawn noodles were also incredible. A
Beautiful restaurant once you walk inside the building, but the small street leading to the restaurant is horrendous, dirty, full of garbage and a few homeless along the side. Quite sad to see why the city is not taking care of the situation. Service is excellent, food comes in big portion, bes
Wow, we were so impressed by this spot. The outdoor seating was enclosed and we stayed warm. We went for brunch and really enjoyed everything we got. There were several vegetarian options - a frittata and the French toast. There is paid parking next door or paid street parking in the area. Great ser
The place was great. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. The ambiance was unique and made us feel great. The food was good: spring rolls Vietnamese style with types of mint leaves that added a lot of flavor. Good Curry dishes and a nice Stout beer. Recommended!
Absolutely exceptional food with outstanding service in a very beautiful setting. Would absolutely go back to to try other many items and different menus.
20 years ago, I took my wife there a few times while we’re dating just to impress her and show my tastes on restaurants. On our 17 years anniversary, we went back with 2 more baggage, 16 and 13. The place is still at the same location, behind a small street like an alley in SF. From the outside, peo
