Only in town for the weekend so we used Foursquare to recommend some place for tacos. We were not let down. I would totally recommend to anyone visiting the area and if I come back again I know I'll stop by again as well.

I sat at the bar and Leo was fantastic. Personable and a real pro. Also Pablo is always very hospitable and gracious. Thanks caballeros for your kindness. Oh and Delish quesadilla and margarita. Try La Conquista. Definitely has a kick.

While visiting SF for a few days we ended up going to this place twice. It was amazing! I honestly believe this was the best Mexican food I ever had. The tacos, the salsa, the quac and even down to my watermelon drink was exceptional! They did not disappoint. We had the same waitress both days and she was so kind and welcoming. I encourage those in the area to give this place a try because I am certainly glad we did. It was by accident that the restaurant we initially were going to was not open so we found this place and I am sure glad we did! I cannot express how much my taste buds and belly loved this food! Highly recommend.

Matador is a nice place for lunch. Happy Hour meal starts at 12 till 5. Food was delicious. Customer service very nice and friendly. Parking can be a bit of a challenge in this area. I look forward to going back

The Taco selection is innovative and tasty. My friends had the Mexican Pizza and it was awesome...great place to dine. I gave it a "3" for atmosphere because we ate in the back room. Chips and salsa with Guacamole was under whelming.

The food was so perfect I couldn’t stop eating! I ordered the fajitas and wow I was not disappointed! It came with corn tortillas (a relief as someone who’s gluten free), a huge bowl of rice and beans, along with delicious chicken and guacamole😍

WOW. Just checked this place out since early opening in COVID hell. Able to sit inside now and I am very impressed. Service, food, ambience, decor and space all off the charts. And did I mention one if the best Margie’s I have ever had! To top it off, an incredible Happy Hour with food included that lasts 5 hours! Really great menu with more than your average Mexican food. I have a new go to❣️❣️

Food was okay. Chips and salsa were eh (that’s how I judge a Mexican restaurant - if salsa is fresh and somewhat spicy, food will most likely be great!). Husband had chicken fajitas and the corn tortillas fell apart before he could even take a bite. Beans and rice were good! I had the chicken flautas- they were standard. Happy hour margaritas were strong. Queso fundido was good! Wait staff was really nice and helpful! Music was great!

Great spot for vegetarian tacos. I really enjoyed the cauliflower taco and I also tried squash one. My friends were raving about the mescal margaritas. The strawberry margarita looked quite nice, as well. Cute decor. Indoor and outdoor seating

Visited the restaurant on our visit to San Francisco. The restaurant was close to our hotel and on the way to the Big Bus Tours stop that we were going to so stopped to have lunch. They have quite a limited menu and the menu available at the restaurant is a bit different to the one you find online. There's a difference in the prices as well but it's not very extreme. We had the Margaritas with Mezcal and they were pretty good. The Mango margarita didn't have much of the mango flavour and the drink was very smoky for my taste but the Jalapeno one was pretty good. The chips and salsa were pretty delicious and seemed fresh as well. We tried the quesa Birria as well as the 3 for $18 tacos here. We had the fish, shrimp and chicken tacos and they were pretty good. The quesa Birria was really good and flavourful! The seating inside is pretty crowded and close together but it is also a very small space. The service was pretty slow and it seemed like the server didn't really want to answer the questions we had. Glad we chose to sit inside or else the service would have been slower! Good thing we knew what we wanted but that was definitely a dampener. If you are in the neighborhood, would definitely recommend to go here for their quesa Birria.

This place is amazing! Stopped by on a Sunday late afternoon for dinner. The food was hot, fresh and was on the table fast. The server was personable and helpful. I ordered the quesabirra tacos and they were fantastic and a great recommendation. My wife ordered the fajitas and they were good. We also ordered chips and salsa and vanilla filled churros which were all good.

Excellent food, friendly staff, prompt service, great atmosphere. My first time here and I'll be back. A bit of a walk from Union Square but well worth it.

Found this little Taco place at a short walk near our hotel during our SF trip. They have a cute outdoor seating but it was slightly chilly so we got a table inside. The tables are very close to eachother so no real privacy between tables; would have preferred slightly spaced out seating but the restaurant is small. They have a decent sized menu with lots of food options and crazy drinks options along with Pitchers & Flights choices. We tried their Mezcal Margaritas and I enjoyed it. The Tacos were really flavorful and very authentic. We got the 3 for $18 and the Quesa Birria Tacos along with Chips n Salsa between two people and were satisfied with the amount of food. Their menu online (food options + pricing) was a bit different than the actual menu & pricing at this location but likely they have other locations with the particular menu & pricing or they are outdated. Would visit this place again if it weren't a short stay at SF.

Visited Matador since it was close to our hotel in the Nob Hill area. The location was very busy. The restaurant has a cool environment and the wait staff very friendly. We had corn chips with guacamole and salsa as a starter, some of the best guacamole I’ve ever had, really fresh flavours. Thought the quality of the vegetarian food at Matador was very good. Good portions & service. Habanero sauce is very tasty.

This spot lived up to high expectations. It was a little too windy to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor seating, but we had a great time indoors. The drinks were very creative; particularly the signature old fashioned. The chips are the best restaurant chips I've ever eaten. Service and food were great. I really enjoyed the mole enchiladas, and everyone seemed happy with their choices.

The location is cute (compact but wonderfully decorated). The service was very good, menu inspired, cocktails exciting, and the decor is awesome. On the night we visited, they were out of at least 5-6 menu items (all the items we were asking for they were out of). I didn't take any stars of for this, because this happens, but it was a little annoying. The server offered an apology for this. I would visit again, but keep an open mind and don't be too locked in on any one item.
