A-MA-ZING! All dishes at Burma Love are absolutely delicious! The Tea leaf salad is definitely a must (I come back just for the best salad that I've ever had in my entire life and the main reason I recommend this place to all my friends again and again). The Skillet Prawns, the Chicken with Mint, and the Lamb curry are all so enjoyable. Cocktails are great! I Really enjoyed the Burma Superstar. And last but not least, the Platha Dessert, just made me smile, I started laughing with joy! This is why every time I come to San Francisco, I come back to Burma Love. An absolute 10!

I recently tried the weekday lunch special at the Burmese restaurant atop the Mission neighborhood. The meal included soup, salad, and black rice pudding for dessert. Here's my brief review:
The tea leaf salad was a bit disappointing, lacking the flavor punch I had hoped for. However, the soup was absolutely phenomenal, bursting with rich and complex flavors.
To wrap up, the black rice pudding for dessert was a sweet delight. While the tea leaf salad didn't quite hit the mark, the remarkable soup and delightful dessert made the visit worthwhile. Consider exploring other menu options for a potentially even better experience.

I'm always a fan of burma love! I've been to the other location, so I wanted to try the mission location.
Good:
- I love the tea leaf salad here - it's always got a nice spread of textures and it's always so tasty and healthy
- The Pratha here is to die for, it's always so warm and flakey
- The coconut curry noodles were solid as well - lots of flavor and a unique menu options
- I got a cocktail here that was nice and fruity, forgot what it was called though
- Cool ambiance, dimly lit and good for a catchup without too much noise
- Nice servers
Bad:
- The food can take a while to arrive, and it's a bit slow
Overall this place was really good and a classic to take friends to!

Got the vegetarian samusa- incredible flavors. Savory and delicious. Love the vegetables you add in - the crispiness is fun in a soup. I could eat this all night.
Rainbow salad- also good! Recommend as an app for two.
Fried banana (pictured)- small and good.

Amazing food and I love that they have a Pimms cocktail. Really friendly and kind staff, overall loved it. My only complaint is that the acoustics aren’t great, so it can be a bit difficult to hear at times.

Everyone’s here for the tea leaf salad but two underrated dishes are the chickpea tofu appetizer and pork belly with mustard greens!
Tofu was surprisingly good and the pork belly was not fatty at all. The mustard greens were super savoury and reminded us of northern Chinese dishes.
Coconut rice too sweet tho! More like a dessert.

The platha with dip, tea leaf salad and Burmese curry with cat fish were all super tasty!!! I was not a fan of the garlic pea sprouts because the vegetables tasted old/stale and stringy. Otherwise, it was a terrific dining experience in Mission and I’d come back for the tea leaf salad, and to try other menu items.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while! Our server was amazing and super knowledgeable about the menu. Tea leaf salad is a must! Curries are also delicious. Really enjoyed the Burmarita (I think that’s what it’s called) I will say, parking is extremely difficult, so give yourself time to find a spot or Uber.

My first time experiencing Burmese food and I was quite impressed! The customer service was impeccable and I have never received food so quickly! The platha & dip was a personal favorite of mine, flaky roti with a rich curry. The tea leaf salad is a must, fresh flavors with multiple textures that work perfectly. We also tried the Nan Pia Dok which was a great noodle option. We tried the Burmese curry which paired perfectly with the fragrant and tropical coconut rice. Last but not least, the eggplant garlic sauce is a dish you don’t want to miss. The sauce is so well balanced and elevates the eggplant. You can also enjoy yourself with some coconut water from a coconut. This restaurant is a great rendition of Burmese food!

Good restaurant, cozy with a nice atmosphere. The service is really good and for many meals they let you leave the "experience" (just mixing at your table all the ingredients of a salad or of the noodles maybe to justify the price). Beside the "food experience" is good Burmese food, but not the best.

Everything we ordered was flavorful. The paratha was a perfect balance of pillowy and crunchy. The mohinga was more of a thick stew-a little sour, a ton of flavor and textures. The fiery wok vegetables with beef has a slow burn of spiciness and goes well with coconut rice. The tea leaf salad was unique and so so yummy. We arrived around 6:15pm with no reservation on a Saturday and got seated right away with a 1.5 hr dining time limit. The food came fast after ordering. The lighting is a tad dark personally and it gets quite loud in the restaurant. Will come back for the food! Yum!

THE BEST SPOT for those Asian Dinner nights that need perfection. Just love this place. Love the tea leaf salad, the drinks (Burma Superstar is dangerous though sets the tone for the night), Garlic noodles, eggplant curries, wok tossed main courses and much more!
Cost is also not a lot for the quantity provided. They are gracious enough to provide a small birthday cake for celebrations!

Food was good, but not exceptional. I had better tea leave salad and wok fried chili, but overall nothing to complain about. Service was quick and friendly which I enjoyed a lot.
It's a great place to go with friends to have a nice casual dinner. The ambiance is neither too loud or too quiet, and lighting was just right to have great conversations.
I might not come again for food, but I would to bring friends over.

First time I had Burmese food was at this restaurant
Never disappoints. Tea leaf salad is mind-blowing. Their yellow tofu appetizer is delicious too. Plenty of vegetarian options too.

Burma Love is an exceptional culinary experience that transports you to the vibrant flavors of Myanmar. From the moment you step inside, the restaurant immerses you in a warm and inviting ambiance, reflecting the country's rich cultural heritage.
The menu at Burma Love is a delightful fusion of traditional Burmese dishes and modern twists, showcasing the chef's creativity and expertise. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared with a perfect balance of flavors and spices, offering a diverse range of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians.
One standout dish is the tea leaf salad, a Burmese classic that is beautifully presented and bursting with textures and flavors. The combination of pickled tea leaves, crispy garlic, roasted peanuts, and sesame seeds creates a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and savory notes.
Another must-try is the Mohinga, a traditional Burmese fish noodle soup. The fragrant broth, made with a blend of aromatic spices and fish, is deeply comforting, and the addition of crispy fritters and fresh herbs adds a delightful crunch and freshness to the dish.
The service at Burma Love is impeccable, with knowledgeable and friendly staff who are happy to guide you through the menu and offer recommendations based on your preferences. The restaurant's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly enhance the dining experience.
The ambiance of Burma Love is charming and cozy, with beautiful decor inspired by Myanmar's vibrant colors and patterns. The warm lighting and comfortable seating make it a perfect place for a relaxed meal with friends or a romantic dinner.
One thing to note is that the popularity of Burma Love often results in a busy restaurant, so it is advisable to make a reservation in advance to ensure a table.
Overall, Burma Love is a gem that introduces diners to the incredible flavors of Myanmar. With its delicious cuisine, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, it is undoubtedly a restaurant worth visiting for a memorable dining experience.

I love Burmese food and this is probably my favorite Burmese restaurant in SF. I came here for lunch and I had the tealeaf salad, the spicy shrimp, the mint tofu, and the platha dessert. All was very delicious.

I’ve had Burmese food before but this was my first time at Burma Love. We don’t have many options for Burmese down in Orange County, CA. This was my friend’s first time trying Burmese food so needless to say we were both excited. We chatted with some guests who had been here before and they raved about it. The hostess also said everything was good. The server said nothing is a miss. With so much hype, I honestly didn’t believe it. BUT… LET, ME, TELL, YOU..all three dishes we ordered were SO good! The tea leaf salad was flavorful and refreshing. The string beans (my favorite dish) were perfectly cooked with so much flavor. It had a little heat, a little sweetness, a little savory..and a whole lot of deliciousness. The coconut chicken curry (my friend’s favorite dish) was so comforting. This is now on my SF must eat list for myself and for friends and family.
