Best place for desserts!!!!
Highly recommend their princess pastry and tiramisu with a good Cuppa coffee.
Chilled ambience and staff is friendly and also gives good recommendations.
Ahhhhhhhh ... YUM ... spent the day gorging on the great pastry treats clearly made with love. Great friendly staff and a cool machine that magically wraps string around the box. Which of course lasted about half a block before we hogged into the cannoli.
Not the best bakery in the world, as some suggest, put the pastries I had were perfectly decent. Large selection and very reasonable prices.
So many choices! Everything looks and smells delicious. I had the black and white cake with chocolate ganache. Nothing was super sweet or sugary. I didn't care for the lemon flavor of the white cake but that's a personal preference. The Italian wedding cakes are buttery and crumbly and devine. And the apple Danish is like something from heaven. This place is definitely a must!!
Great pastries and nice people. What's not to like?
Best tiramisu in the world!!. I made a trip on Amtrak's San Joaquin from Merced just to bring back some of the best pastries ever!! The tiramisu is amazing and so are the cream puffs and cream horns.
My great-grandmother used to get her cakes here, and she definitely had good taste! The Mocha was delicious if you want a chocolatey semi-coffee tasting drink, and the Latte was not heavily poured in terms of milk so you still had all of the coffee flavoring. Cannolis were top notch, and I would love to come again. Only thing was seating, there’s a couple of tables outside, and mostly shaded, but be ready to walk and eat.
Victoria Pastry is my favorite place for cake. Their whole cakes have been a hit at celebrations, and I frequently get myself a single slice. My personal favorites are the black & white, strawberry shortcake, & chocolate truffle.
I love the Italian cookies and pastries here. I grew up in a very Italian/European neighborhood and love so much of these baked goods. I love the eclairs!
(Just wish the shop could find friendlier people to hire. Excellent customer service (service with a smile, friendliness) makes the food taste better and customers more loyal. I liked the industrious employee this past weekend. That experience made up for the sullen experience the weekend before when I chose to walk out and go elsewhere due to the service attitude. Sometimes the service is good, but it's been inconsistent over recent years, but that's a bigger trend in the difficulty of finding great team members. )
The Princess cake is amazing. My first time at Victorias Pastry to get something for my birthday. The princess cake looks beautiful with green marzipan layer on a moist spongy cake with layers of cream and rasperry jelly. It was delicious. It was worth the long walk from Fisherman's wharf. Also tried the chocolate cake which was also pretty good.
Tried the princess cake and enjoyed it! Bit of a different twist with what tasted like a custard layer. Marzipan tasted homemade.
Seating is outside and could have been a nice spot to sit with a coffee, but our personal space kind of got taken over by a large loud group of old people who took over a couple tables and also part of our table. We left quickly because they were drowning out our conversation.
Anytime I am visiting the North Beach area of San Francisco, I visit Victoria Bakery. This great bakery was founded in 1911. The bakery has many delicious cakes, cookies, and Italian specialties. My favorites are the tasty cookies. The Princess cake is visually beautiful and also very tasty. If you visit, my recommendation is the Fedora Rum Chocolate cake. Because of COVID 19, the only available seating is outdoors. I prefer outdoor seating anyway because it is a great people watching opportunity. The bakery also serves coffee but this is not my recommendation because the coffee is not a pour over or a fresh grind. I am always happy to chat and interact with the bakery staff because they are consitently in a good mood with plenty of smiles. If you are in the North Beach area of SF, I recommend a visit to this historic bakery.
Big fan of this little bakery , I discovered this charming little place several months ago and I haven coming here religiously whenever I want to eat some sin 😈
I am huge fan of the Swedish princess and their panacotta and also the heart shaped cookies .. it’s yummy and delicious.
A lot of choices for pastries and cookies . Clean place , must visit , you won’t be disappointed.
Couldn't help stopping by with the warm baked goods smell wafting out of the open doors. We got an assortment of cookies which are priced by the pound. They're small bite size cookies which are in my opinion the perfect size because you can try a variety of them (and there's a lot of options)! We got about 15 cookies for $7 total and every cookie was really good. They were each unique and tasty, not too sweet and really complimentary with a double shot iced latte ($4). I'm impressed that with such small cookies, they packed a punch and stood out from one another too.
Service was also very friendly and efficient. This is a great place to stop for a coffee or sweet snack around Washington Square!
If you love cake, you should probably go there and enjoy the multiple pastries that they have (almond cake, carrots cake, chocolate cake and more). They are in the Italian aerea of SF and so they also have Italian products for Easter time like Bauli Colomba or the "Easter chocolate eggs". We like the "princess cake" and the carrots cake.
The chocolate truffle cake was amazing! It was $6.75 and not huge but worth it, it's very rich.
Came here for the princess cake! Bought 3 slices of princess cake, chocolate flan, cheesecake, 2 cannoli’s and a LB of cookies!
Everything was delicious except the cannoli’s - pretty disappointed in them. Maybe because I am used to Mazzetti’s cannoli’s and those are elite, but I am honestly shocked that these cannolis tasted like fluffy water with hella choc chips :| I was hella looking forward to trying them.
Pricing is on the higher side. Spent $75 on everything, not including tip.
The employee who helped me was really nice and helpful, the girl who rang me up, not so much. Not friendly at all and had a stank face & attitude. Still tipped them but she needs to cheer up or just not go into work if she’s feeling that grumpy that I can see it on her face.
Negative 1 star for the cannoli and the grumpy worker. Other than the cannoli’s being eh and the weird service from the female employee, I would recommend this place!
Wonderful pastries with delightful flavours. The croissant was soft flakey and buttery beautiful to eat. The berry and custard pastry was really tasty with the fruit flavours a stand out. Bacon and egg croissant also awesome. The coffee was excellent. They understand coffee concepts. Great little tables inside.
Small old school Italian bakery and Cafe. They have a selections of whole cakes and slice cakes. They also have several kinds of cookies. I like the fact that the cookies are small bite-sized but they also have gigantic ones. either way the cookies are fantastic and anyone trying them should try to get a few of each to try. Some of the cookies or crispy what others are soft and chewy. A group of five squish together at a pair of small round tables. we were just going to stop and have coffee and cake but we ended up having such a pleasant time to here we stay much longer.
they do take credit cards is here which is good because I ended up getting quite a bit of treats for myself. The staff here is super friendly and helpful as we were kind of a pain in with all our individual orders. another thing I like is with bakery counters being so high they actually have a side counter for ADA accommodations. They also have a bathroom for customers.
My wife and I had enjoyed Victoria Pastry a little while back and so we wanted our children to experience how great their pastries are. So we stopped here during our time in San Francisco, which was part of our Summer road trip from Tigard, Oregon through Northern California.
And the pastries are just as wonderful!
We ordered the cannolis, the chocolate ganache, the chocolate layered cake, and some cookies, including our favorite: almond.
Everything is so fresh and fantastic.
I definitely recommend stopping by.
I'm a sucker for a good cannoli, and Victoria does this Italian delicacy the right way. The bakery has been around since 1914, so it's got a good track record.
I walked into Victoria Bakery and was immediately hit with the smell of fresh baked pastries. I could see the bakers hard at work in the back, and I knew I was in for a treat.
I ordered a cannoli with chocolate filling, and it was everything I had hoped for. The shell was perfectly crispy, and the filling was rich and creamy. I could have eaten a dozen of them.
I also tried the tiramisu, which was also delicious. The ladyfingers were soaked in coffee, and the mascarpone filling was light and fluffy. I could have easily polished off a whole cake if I wasn't paying attention to my diet.
Overall, I had a great experience at Victoria Bakery. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the pastries are addictively delicious. I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a sweet treat in San Francisco
Tiramisu is top 3 in my lifetime. The espresso and cream have the perfect ratio and harmony so well. You don't need teeth. It will melt in your mouth. Carot cake and Cannoli are great as well.
Just popped in for a quick bite. Kinda overpriced, but we let it slide since it's SF.
Chocolate cake was good. Toppings were slightly waxy. I didn't know this place was known for its cannoli so I really regret not having it. Coffee was yum and service is friendly.
