My daughter had her wedding reception here last Saturday evening. The restaurant opened up an hour early, so we could host a cocktail hour upstairs. The reception was in a stately yet beautiful room downstairs. We had 52 guests and the food was flawless! The service was beyond superb with Jim leading the wait staff and catering to our every unplanned need on the spot! Shane did an outstanding job as the Event Coordinator and was very easy to work with. This has always been my daughter’s favorite restaurant in SF and it will forever be in our hearts as one of the most important pieces of our family’s big day!

Walking down the street i could smell the prosciutto a block away, apparently NB Restaurant makes their own prosciutto... 100,s of them aging in their wine cellars bellow. I walked over with my friend and introduced myself to the manager who proceeded to take us on a tour of the wine cellar, the party room below as well as the multiple rooms of meat hanging and aging with that beautiful aroma that you'd swear you'd only smell in Italy. We Made reservations for later in the day and they did not disappoint, with great wine service along with that prosciutto to start the meal off, we had a pasta course and array of chicken, veal and a special shared by all. What a nice experience and if you like Italian american leaning more to the italian side i highly recommend North Beach Restaurant.

Came for a 70 years birthday party. The host took me to the wrong group and I was welcomed by 8 handsome man OMG 🥰🤣. We got drinks wine appetizers salads main course desserts and everything from the food via service was amazing. The staffs were professional friendly and really attentive of our needs. We also met Moe the General Manager and made our dinner experience beyond amazing. Certainly the best dining experience in San Francisco and we have been around many places.

We held our wedding reception downstairs for 72 guests. The proscuitto room was perfect for the appetizers and the main room held 5 large tables for dinner. We were able to have a DJ and room for dancing. Guests raved about the unique atmosphere and the staff was really great about accommodating hours available for setup and takedown. The food was delicious and the location was safe and perfect. I'd highly recommend checking out this unique venue!

Damian was PHENOMENAL!! Everything was absolutely delightful. I really expected just typical Italian tourist fare but it was not. Every person who helped us seemed so happy to be here and happy we were here. A sommelier was offered to us to decide on wine, which we happily agreed to. The food was delicious. Our server was incredible. I am here on vacation but I would absolutely come back here.

North Beach Restaurant never disappoints! Veal Piccata was excellent and highly recommend the prosciutto and melon and tiramisu for dessert. Great service, perfect Italian cuisine, and romantic ambiance. Doesn’t get much better than this in San Francisco!

Two words: amazing experience. First, the service was amazing, the waiter was funny, engaging, and very knowledgeable about the food. The whole setting was pleasant with nice paintings and sculptures around the restaurant. The bathrooms were also a huge plus, super fancy with bidets and nice strong paper towels. Second, the food was flavorful and the texture was pleasant. I got the pappardelle bolognese veal. The sauce was creamy, and the meat flavor was not too overwhelming but blended well with the tomato sauce. The homemade pasta had a nice soft and chewy texture. For me, there was too much sauce in ratio to the amount of pasta, but not a deal breaker. Would definitely recommend this dish if you want a homemade feel and flavor to each. I also got the calamari, nothing unique or special, just crispy calamari with lemon. Simple, yet tasty. Finally, the tiramisu was creamy and refreshing. They topped the desert with coffee powder which gave it a nice aftertaste. Overall experience was positive and would recommend for a special dinner.

It would be easy to just say that this is a typical North Beach Italian place, but it's actually not. It definitely had it's own flavor. The ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy and intimate, with everything being the opposite of what you'll find at a chain restaurant. Our waiter was able to get the bartender to concoct some wonderful non alcoholic drinks for us. The Bolognese sauce was so full of flavor I had to wipe the plate clean with my bread. No, it is not a cheap meal, but worth every dollar we paid. Can't wait for a return trip.

Classic old school atmosphere, warm and wise service and hearty Italian classics served quickly and efficiently. Cioppino, Linguine porcini scallops, ravioli Ragu, an off menu cannoli dessert and veal parmigiana stood out. Great place to entertain.

My late partner and I loved this place. I had not been there since he passed away. Took my new Beau there for his 60th birthday. He had a wonderful time. They even sang "Happy Birthday " to him. Great cocktails, delicious food. Wonderful, traditional North Beach gem. We will be back.

I have been wanting to try this place for a looooong time. I finally made it with my family while we were staying at the Wyndham on Bush St. The ambience is mellow, with a mix of tourists and locals. We made reservations for 6:30 and it was good that we did because we came before the rush. I ordered the veal parmigiana and it came with some broccoli and potatoes. The Chianti I had was good. The bread is fresh. The Caesar salad was good. I would recommend this place for yummy Italian food in North Beach.

We had a fun and lively dinner here last Saturday around 7:30 pm. Our friends made a reservation ahead of time, which I highly recommend (there were a few parties on the wait list). The staff were not only pleasant, but very approachable and personable— they made jokes, smiled, and seemed to genuinely enjoy being there! ☺️ Of the food we ordered, the table favorite was a seafood linguini with scallops (about $28). The scallops were so tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked! Two at our table had the Pasta Della Casa ($20) and another had a breaded flatfish fillet (which he liked). If you come here, I suggest going all out with the seafood: I wish I had gone for lots of scallops, instead of my conservative (but yummy) house pasta! 🍤🍝 The place is popular for birthdays, at one point there were 4 happy birthday songs sung in about a 20 minute period, which was hilarious. 🎂
