Hong Kong Clay Pot Restaurant - San Francisco - Photo album

When you visit the San Francisco Bay Area, I highly recommend going to Hong Kong Clay Pot. This was a hidden gem of a restaurant. After a stroll in Chinatown, enter the doorway and up the stairs to excellent dinner. We were greeted by the hostess/server. She was friendly and helpful directing us to
Sizzling clay pot! Decent Hong Kong food in generous portions. Wonton soup is gentle and tasty. It has about six pieces of wontons so it’s also perfect to share. Also comes with bok choi. Bitter melon isn’t very common in restaurants because the vegetable is bitter. The chef handled it well. Pot
Best authentic Chinese restaurant in San Francisco! The owners are super nice and friendly!! Good service. Foods were delicious. Big portions. Prices are reasonable. Traditional Chinese decoration. Family business. I always like to support small business rather than going to chain or fancy restauran
This was a very CUTE place! This little hidden gem was exactly that. The hospitality made us feel right at home. Just like if I was visiting my aunts house. ☺️ The FOOD 🤤 the food was like nothing I’ve tasted before. We were automatically served a Jasmine tea which we loved. We had hot and sour sou
Decent restaurant all around. However, I wish the servers were more helpful selecting food from the menu (it’s veryyyy overwhelming). The service was good, slow at times, and the ambience overall was good.
Love this hidden gem. Google pointed me in the right direction. Loved the orange chicken and chicken fried rice. The walk is steep up the stairs so be careful but otherwise, I enjoyed the charm of walking up the stairs. And we sat at a window seat and loved the view down from the second floor. First
Food is great. Giving it 4 star for the authentic Chinese experience. Interior is a bit old and dusty. Other than that really enjoyed the two visits here.
Cool, kind of quirky looking interior. I appreciated the traditional green tea at all the tables. The food is served family style and is DELICIOUS. The customer service was good although a bit difficult getting the waitress attention on a busy evening as it was when I went. I really enjoyed this pla
Decent food but it also depends what you order. Orange chicken and fried rice was very plain and bland. The tofu claypot and spring rolls were absolutely amazing. The stairs to the restaurant pose a big challenge if you have any sort of mobility issues- bad knees etc.
Visiting SF for the first time and happened upon this place while trying to choose a Chinatown lunch spot. Immediately got seated as a solo diner at the window. Waitress was super on top of things. I chose the spring rolls (crunchy outside and almost creamy inside, would get again) and the spareribs
Simple and correct Chinese dining. This is the place if you want good food and great atmosphere. Like dining in Hong Kong!
First time in this local. Variety of tasty dishes, fast service and fair prices. Recommend!
Nice little joint with good and reasonably priced food. The portions were also pretty decent. The place is a little small and packed and you will have to go upstairs to the restaurant. We ordered the seafood claypot, which was really good and the curry chicken claypot which my son loved.
Tastes like good, honest cooking with fresh ingredients being the main emphasis. Pricing is reasonable and affordable considering the portions & quality!
Fantastic food! Clay pot clam and pumpkin was amazing as was curry chicken, bitter melon and kung pao prawn. What’s not to love?! The staff was very friendly too. It’s up stairs above the tourist shops. It feels really local, like a great find.
Really good food. We liked everything we ordered and we will be back when we're in San francisco again!! The service was extremely quick
I has been living in United State for almost 5 years and I visited many cities. My husband and I really love the Cantonese food and I need to say that this is best food that I eat here en all United States! It’s so yummy, full taste and delicious! If you come to San Francisco you need to come to thi
THE BEST CHINESE FOOD!!! I don’t think I can say enough for Hong Kong Clay Pot! The wait is absolutely worth it! We went for dinner and waited on the steep stairs. If you have a hard time with stairs, this may be a place to have someone pick up and bring to you! It’s such a ‘whole in the wall” in
