this place has great energy and delicious food. we were told to get there early. the restaurant opened at 9am and was packed with a wait by 930. it's understandable as the food is ridiculously delicious. I had quiche with farro salad and avocado toast while my partner had crab and artichoke Benedict. so amazing. the quiche surprised me with little bits of parmesan goodness. yummy!

Quaint brunch cafe around mission district. Quite popular with locals i guess, be ready to queue for a table. The MBC pancakes is really good. 3 pancakes, quite thick but still light drizzled with bourbon syrup and served with fruits. The french toast here is pretty good as well. 3 brioches with strawberry and bourbon syrup. The toast is fluffy and somewhat cloudy.

Well known brunch joint on a corner in the Mission where there's no beach! I had the ravioli and the cherry pie, both fairly decent but not spectacular. We also had a serve delicious chips. We were there on a Friday night and it was three quarters empty though my companions said there was a big game on in town. The decor and ambience could be better. Leather seats were very worn out.

Located literally 20 feet from our airbnb, this was a no-brainer for convenience but ended up being a pleasant (and very delicious) surprise! Hubby ordered the Dungeness Crab & Artichoke Eggs Benedict, and I went with the yummy Grilled Cheese Sandwich with green salad and I'm pretty sure we both licked our plates clean. We also had iced coffee and an Americano. The bill came in around $40 I think, but well worth it. Service was attentive but not overbearing and both of the guys who came to the table (one to take the order, another to bus the table) were very friendly. I really liked the ambiance, and like I said the location was great, right on the corner of 14th & Guerrero.

Loved this place! I had the mushroom benedict and it was phenomenal (and the presentation was classy, too). I grew up near the beach, and this place definitely had that "beachy" vibe. Would come again!

My only complaint was the wait time. It was quite crowded and I had to wait far too long just for a table for two.

"The atmosphere was bustling with plenty of eager young people folks everywhere. Upbeat light jazz music was perfect for the setting as well. "
"We enjoyed the fact that brussels sprouts brought in some pleasant light bitterness, while the butternut squash pieces contributed with a hint of sweetness - an intriguing balance."
"We were also impressed with the Daily Quiche even more - an inexpensive gem."

Just a few bites from our full review..

Excellent breakfast in mission district, we enjoyed so much our food! Benedicts with mushroom, soft english muffins and touch of truffle, ending with french toasts in brioche bread with berries, whipped cream and maple syrup of course. Although the orange juice seamed not so natural as I thought it would be.

Even on a weekday morning, this place had a lineup outside. The wait was quick, maybe 3-5 minutes. Service was friendly and they customized the order to replace yukon potatoes (as a side with the Eggs Benedict with Ham) with the the Truffle Fries. Would highly recommend the spinach and mushroom benedict. The Truffle Mornay sauce is DIVINE. Another plus, the portions are pretty fair for the $10-15 price range. Looking around, the Huevos Rancheros and the French Toast servings appeared quite generous.

Where do I begin with brunches in the city?  During our weekend in the city, I just craved some warm and wakening food to make up for the cloudy chilly morning.  And being in Mission really doesn’t make it hard to find a good place that hits the spot. Not too far from where we were staying we found an awesome brunch location, Mission Beach Cafe! It’s not in a busy intersection, more within the suburbs of the city (if that counts…), and this place is really popping with a huge line and a fun atmosphere of friends and families, if ya know what I mean.

LOVE this place. Brilliant service, nice and sunny atmosphere, unbelievable food at crazy prices! They customised my order for me, so I went for a big fat breakfast platter of course. The apple smoked bacon was droolworthy. I couldn't decide if I wanted the Eggs Benedict (yes, yes, sue me, I'm greedy) so asked them to make poached eggs. The Hollandaise sauce was WHOA. Love the potato thingies which came with it too. If I could go back here everyday, I sure as hell would! Friendliest staff I have ever encountered at a restaurant.

We had the mushroom Benny and the french Toast, both excellent, arrived quickly and good service. Some of the art was a bit odd, but we came for the food and would return for it

There's a REASON there is a 30-45 minute wait, five minutes after opening--the food is SPECTACULAR! Same reason I eat here at least twice every weekend (brunch and/dinner), whenever I visit. Soooo soooo yummy!

This place has been great all 3 times I have gone. Unbelievable food and fabulous service (contrary to what I've been reading.) I would recommend it to anyone.

One of the best burgers in the city and everything else looked fantastic. Service unfortunately is cold and inattentive. Get some servers and a manager who know what they are doing and this place will be epic.

The squash soup and dungeness crab salad, as well as the sable fish and papardelle entrees were delicious. The service was also professional and attentive. We expected more of dessert however. The pie looked promissing but was served cold, and remained lukewarm even after we asked it to be heated. The wine was good, and on the whole an enjoyable and pleasant evening.

Always Excellent and Great for Romantic Dates.. I too have yet to even slightly be disappointed by a meal here. From the simplest of foods (burgers) to Dungeness crab benedict, every meal is crafted to perfection with love.

While I have been a massive fan of their weekend brunches, with homemade biscuts and pork gravy, maple covered bacon and the best Blue Bottle Coffee, it has has been Alan's incredible deserts that had me coming back for more. I could never wait to see what amazing new desert he was going to create. But then it happened . . . they introduced Home Made Pot Pies.

Not just any Pot Pies, but lovely crafted Rabbit, Duck, Chicken, and Vegetarian meat pie artwork. These are not your store bought, full of air, cheap crust let downs. These are handmade, stuffed to the brim with choice meats, hearty veggies, and a complementary sauce to die for. So when they created Pot Pie Tuesdays, I'm their every Tueday.

Whether you are taking a date on a romantic meal or just kicking back with friends for morning coffee and the best homemade, New York style boiled bagel this side of New Jersey, Mission Beach has something for everyone.

A great place for brunch on rainy weekends: the rain keeps the crowds at bay. I had the MBC scramble and the biggest mimosa EVER last Sunday! Casual attentive service makes this worth a return visit.

Brunch, it's not something I usually get to these days, especially in San Francisco. Since it is still all the rage there are just too many people waiting for a table to eat eggs. I can make those at home. One place that gets a lot of brunch play is Mission Beach Cafe . It's a place that's been around awhile and has a good reputation, but for one reason or another I just never made it there. Recently Miss O and I had our schedules converge and since she lives round the corner from the place we decided to hit it up for dinner. This is what the place looks like when go just as they open, no lines, no crowds and the table of our choice. Plus, as an added bonus the waiter was adorable in an adult way, not your typical too skinny, tattooed, pierced up, flannel wearing hipster. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it was a pleasant change. Also fortunate for us, we are very hungry and the menu looks really good. After serious thought and perusal we go all in with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and yes, 2 desserts. Gluttony.  Marinated beets with citrus creme fraiche, navel orange, poppy seeds and cilantro. I'm just a sucker for beets of any color and this was a fresh, tasty and pretty looking dish. Everything seemed to come together beautifully here with a mix of tangy and sweet, the creaminess of the creme and the notes of cilantro herbiness were very pleasing. There isn't much texture and I couldn't taste the poppy seeds but didn't matter. We scarfed it up and I used a spoon to scoop up the rest of the fraiche--whatever, don't judge.  Wild mushroom potpie with demi glace and a side of pickled radish, turnip and fennel. So fancy terms for potpie and gravy with pickled things. The side things were nice and actually sweeter than I'd thought they'd be, plus I'm pretty sure they were there to relieve some of the heaviness of the potpie. The outside was nice and crusty and it was served hot. Cutting it open the steam rises and you get a great earth smell of the mushrooms i
