First visit was back in the mid to late 80's. Lovely little restaurant with excellent food! The most amazing dish is the L'Escargot A La Provencale: Escargot, Garlic Butter w/Parsley, Tomato Ragu over Angel Hair Pasta. We came back again the next night for another delicious meal.

About as old school Escoffier as they come in SF, there was a bit of a mix up on my reservation, partly me to fault, nonetheless had delightful meal, fabulous food and conversation in very homelike and charming setting. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a warm and comfortable meal in Nob Hill area. Definitely suggest the Creme Brûlée for dessert!

Amazing food, don't let this place fool you. Not the most polished or professional waitstaff but they mean well and are trying. And the place is "quaint" but a little shack-tastic. But who cares with escargot this good and tender!! Maybe the best I've ever had. Love it!!!

Food is great, amazing soup and dessert was everything I expected and more. Chocolate ganache is very rich and the mango mousse was very light and refreshing.

Really quite excellent food in this slightly funky tiny neighborhood French bistrot. Main courses are not cheap at mostly over $40, but they are certainly delicious. My sweetbreads were creamy and well-seasoned, the duck a l'orange was tangy and tender, and my wife's rack of lamb delicious. If the food is not cheap, the limited wine selections most certainly were. A French screwtop pay d'oc pinot noir for $40? Not exactly a burgundy but certainly good enough.

What a fantastic place. The creamy spinach soup with cheese and perfectly and so rich and creamy very fresh. I had the salmon with sauce. It was cooked perfectly and the vegetables with lightly blanched and seasoned with a pinch of salt that really brought everything together. The warm bread was a fantastic touch as well as the Pinot noir glass that I had. I look forward to coming back again and support in this local business

We were delightfully impressed by the food and people at Rue Le Pic. Ordinary and old were all made extraordinary and classic. It was not difficult to tell that this restaurant had contained a lot of stories.

$33.50 Ris De Veau Meuneire | Sweetbreads sautéed with lemon, butter, garlic & wine. I have never had sweet breads before & I’ve always wanted to try them. Soooo happy I finally got a chance to! I was going to go for my usual favorite French dish (rack of lamb, obviously I started with escargot), but when I saw sweet breads on the menu, I had to. These were perfectly sautéed & textured just like I imagine. I’ve had lamb balls (at the #minnesotastatefair ) & I’ve had liver; I would describe sweet bread (at least this entree) as having a similar texture. The dish is subtle in flavor, like the escargot, buttery & almost nutty. I feel like sweet breads are almost like calamari & scallops-tastes like what it’s cooked in. The sauce is absolutely delicious, I wish there was more on the dish $17.25 L’Escargot A La Provencale | Garlic butter with parsley, tomato ragu over angel hair pasta—holy shizzzzz!!!! This dish is soooo yummmm! The angel hair is cooked to perfection, not al dente (which I don’t like anyway). Six very large escargot included, definitely filled me up for being an app. Subtle, saucy, buttery, almost savory if I were to describe this dish. Mmhmm!!! Also, FIVE STARS for service & ambiance & the food. Rue Lepic is a quaint little restaurant with about seven small tables. You’re literally elbow to elbow with your neighbor & that’s fine if you get along lol. Room for two servers who need to squeeze in between diners & seats to serve, Rue Lepic is wonderful. One main chef & looks like one sous, the head chef, she does such a wonderful job multitasking & making a million dishes at once & perfectly I might add.

What a cute little find! One of my colleagues had been talking about this restaurant he's been going to for over 20 years, and took me to try it. It's been a gem of a find! Definitely one of my go-tos for french food now in the city. The owner and the servers are all very friendly and gracious!! Do try it. We always go for their price fix menu which is totally worth the money!

Rue Lepic is an amazing restaurant. The food is simply delish. The soup was absolutely amazing and the entrees were cooked to perfection. Lastly, the dessert was immeasurably delicious; I highly recommend the creme brûlée (ask for strawberries on it as well). The service was superb as well.

Wonderful food and service. This restaurant manages to prepare awesome food in a kitchen no larger than that of my first post-college apartment. The wait staff is fantastic and works together to provide a seamless dining experience. The serving sizes are perfect, neither too small nor too large, and be sure to have dessert!

A tiny spot with a warm and cozy atmosphere, white tablecloths and no frills. The service is pleasant and attentive, and the food is amazing! The seafood pasta is to die for, and the lamb rack was juicy and flavorful. Also, it's pretty light by French standards! Very highly recommend.

The current 4.6 star rating is insultingly low. This is an outstanding restaurant. The service is top notch and the food was absolutely amazing. The crème brûlée left me at a loss for words. I highly recommend!

Awesome! Quiet little spot with great service. l went there by myself during a work trip and was nice to sit by the window and people watch. My steak was so tender I barely had to cut it. Wine was great. Creme brulee was also really nice. Basically wanted to lick the plate everything was so tasty. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful dinner here before going to a concert at The Warfield. Every dish was outstanding; the highlights for us were the Seafood Pasta and Cream of Mushroom Soup. Service was warm, prompt, and friendly. We ended up being too full to try the delicious-sounding desserts, so we will have to come back! Highly recommend.
