Johnny Foley's - San Francisco - Photo album

Great Irish Pub in a great location. Close to everything. Pretty loud with plenty of music by the band and people drinking and having a good time. Decent service. The waitress needed to check on us a bit more and not super friendly. The Corn Beef and Cabbage was the best I have ever had. Huge p
I wish I could give this place ten stars for service and a couple extra for the food. Started off with a couple of Guinness and a massive plate of fried calamari. Honestly, had we known how big it was we may not have ordered it. It was clearly enough for a table of four, and there were only two of
Great atmosphere!! Friendly staff. A place to visit if you are in downtown San Francisco.
This was a great restaurant and a good vibe inside. Very friendly atmosphere and lively. Our waitresses was very nice and took care of our orders. I ordered the porkchop and my girlfriend ordered the beet salad roasted.. both meals fantastic but the porkchop 🥩 needed some seasonings on it..it coo
Always a favorite when I visit San Fran. I’ve been coming here since 2017. Went twice this trip. Was nice to bring the family and experience good food with them. This is just a block off union square. Super convenient location if you’re in any of the boutique hotels in the area.
I have been frequenting Foley's for 20yrs, it's been consistently good all that time. It has the best Guinness in San Francisco although it's pricey. The food is quality and they have some proper Irish dishes, the wheaten bread is great although the curry chips sauce is not as good as it used to be.
David is undoubtedly one of the most proficient and amiable bartenders I have encountered. Being an experienced Irish professional, he has mastered his craft and knows it inside out. Not only is David an affable conversationalist, but he also has a terrific sense of humor, and his witty remarks had
Oh amazing!! I recommend! Went here for food and drinks. They serve food until 7 pm just so you know (yesterday I was far too late, as a European tourist I have to get used to the times here). The food is AMAZING 😍 I had the chicken pie and I do not regret it. It was creamy, actually had a lot of c
The wings were dry to start, but the soups were delicious. I had the seafood chowder and my wife had the potato bacon. We got the fish and chips, which were pretty good and a couple of Kilkenny's which were delicious. Overall a great spot
Went here on a whim and was very glad that we did! The service was very quick and the food was excellent! They were able to easily accommodate our group of 6 without a reservation. I had the burger which was stacked high and cooked perfectly (a bit expensive for a burger though). We were hoping t
Great Irish pub atmosphere, many seats at the bar, attentive staff, and fast drink service. We only visited for late night drinks, and had a fantastic time on a Thursday night. The bar was moderately busy, with good music, and a mature clientele. Would recommend for pub atmosphere and good drinks at
The food was great. I had to try the cottage pie. The presentation and the taste were very good. The waiter was inattentive, which made for a four ☆ I was $$$ over 40 for one person, one pie, and one beer steep. If the waiter was as good as the blonde hostess services, it would have gotten 5 stars
Typically, we visit the dueling piano bar downstairs, but Saturday it wasn't available so we went into the main bar area and they had a live band playing cover songs (80s and 90s rock mostly) and they were really good. People were singing along and dancing. It was a good time. We didn't have food du
Great food, great staff, great drinks. What more do you need for a great time? The food's amazing. It's not gonna win competitions, but it's gonna fill your stomach and your heart without emptying your wallet. I got a plain house burger and it was the very Platonic ideal of a burger. Can't disappoi
Very busy but service was fast. They seem to have their act together dealing with pre Xmas Saturday crowds downtown. Friendly staff. All of us loved the food we got.
We ate at Johnny Foleys on a Sunday afternoon. All staff were very kind and attentive. I ordered the cottage pie (in the picture) and my brother ordered the fish and chips. Both were great! I love the atmosphere inside; definitely an old Irish pub feel.
Great atmosphere, courteous staff, and really great food. Chicken pie was creamy and packed with meat. And the desserts are exceptionally flavorful! Plus, reasonably priced given its location in the city.
My friends and I were there for lunch. Excellent food, excellent drinks, the staff were amazing, we couldn't ask for a better experience. I know they get louder in the evenings, so people with sound sensitivity (like myself) may want to take precautions, but it's well worth it.
I work at the Hilton Hotel next door n decided to have lunch there as I was glad to see Foleys active. The place was awesome. I was glad to get a spot at the Bar where you can order food as well. I had the Mussels in cream sauce n it was tasty. Good service n food . I Recommend this Place. Too bad
