The freshly baked pizza is delicious, covered with the sweetness of ripe tomatoes. The side dishes are also very elaborate and hearty.

Pros: The food was very good. I rank the pizza in my top 5 (I tried the mushroom and the broccoli). I also tried the eggplant parmigiana, the insalata tricolore, and the escarole salad. I dined in and ordered via Uber Eats as well. Fantastic choice for delivery and enjoyable in person as well. Comfort food with high quality ingredients and well balanced seasoning. It’s a safe go-to. Cons: The atmosphere is nice but not the best one in the area for a business dinner or a special night out. It seems great for families. Small detail—I love when pizza places have spicy oil and they don’t.

We walked in on a Monday night and had a great experience. The food was all delicious and very high quality. We had the cauliflower soup, the arancini and the nduja pie. I’ve had their pizza before, and it’s becoming a favourite of mine in SF!

Relaxing environment with lots of natural light and friendly staff. Quick service. The pizza crust was ultra thin and crispy, the sauce very flavorful. The meatballs were moist inside and tasty. The sauce was a bit too salty.

Nice pizza spot. I was particularly impressed by the caprese salad which was one of the most beautiful demonstrations of how tasty California tomatoes can get. The arancini were good but unfortunately were slightly contaminated by a weird taste similar to dish soap. Don't tell the Italians, but the addition of a runny egg on pizza is pretty great.

Dined outside on a wonderful evening. Hard to choose which pizza to get as so many of them looked amazing. Friendly service. Great music playing.

Went here for dinner on a Friday night, and was seated right away. Nice outdoor seatings with heat lamps. I ordered the funghi white pie pizza with added fennel sausage and gluten-free crust. It tastes so good. The Insalata Tricolored salad came with strips of thinly sliced parmesan cheese, and the grilled asparagus was perfectly cooked. The service was great!

hands down the best pizza in san francisco, the margarita never disappoints! staff are efficient and friendly, but even if they were rude i would still be a regular because the food is just too good.

Absolutely delicious pizzas with plenty of vegetarian options. Really liked the tomato based pizza with capers and the white-based funghi pizza.

Second pizzeria I tried in San Francisco, and second happy discovery! The pizzas are well prepared, the dough is properly cooked and the ingredients are tasty and look fresh. They also have a nice choice of beers. Tried an IPA, very good choice. We'll done guys!

Pizzeria Delfina in the Mission was the only way I was able to feel satisfied about Pizza again after returning from a month in Europe which involved 2 weeks in Italy spanning Milan, Rome and Venice back in 2008. My outlook and understanding of Pizza was changed forever. I somehow deduced that there were only two Pizza places that were going to be able to hold up to what I experienced in Italy. One of them was Pizzetta 211 and the other was Delfina. Suffice it to say, I recently tried Pizzetta 211 again the other day and they handed me something that looked like it was falling apart. (See my other reviews for more on that). So Pizzetta 211 left Pizzeria Delfina alone as the only last truly good Pizza that's not Tony's related in San Francisco. 23 years I waited to return to Pizzeria Delfina again. The cards were stacked against Pizzeria Delfina as I ordered delivery through Caviar, not realizing they were a subsidiary of the horrid company Door Dash who has up to now sent every single pizza to me Ice Cold and did not even beg for forgiveness even in the slightest. But, I needed to know. After 23 years. The answer to this Pre-Destined question "Will Pizzeria Delfina still be one of the best if the best in the City after all this time?" The answer is yes. It is still one of the best of all time in San Francisco - after 23 years it still is as far as my opinion goes. So far no one else holds this title and I have now tried 47 pizza places since returning to San Francisco in May 2022. Pizzeria Delfina is still one of the God's of Pizza in San Francisco. Only Tony's and Empire Pizza (who this place I heard has members of) hold this kind of stature. I don't care who you are, Delfina has come through in areas all others fail. For example, Pizzetta 211 who can't even keep a full pizza together let alone even step up to the absolute majesty and beauty of this Craftsmanship. Respect to the Pizza makers at Delfina. Big time respect. Please make sure you DO try Pizzeria Delfina if you care about Pizza and you want to have the kind of thing that is acceptable after you have been in Italy for awhile. If you want to eat good food that will likely make you happy, eat at Delfina. Objectively, they make perfect pizza. If you want an example of Pizza perfected, this is it. It just is. Yes or Yes? Facts. No Cap. Blessings.

Not just pizza, we had grilled corn with chilli butter, it was delicious and not too spicy. The cherry pie was a pizza (not sweet) that was delicious because the tomatoes on top were not cooked and it had ricotta cheese. Sounds weird but try it. We had a couple of great salads that that we all shared. It was a vegetarian meal but they graciously gave us a side of cooked pepperoni for the meat lover. The BEST dessert was a chocolate pudding that had whipped cream and chocolate nubs on top, it was light but chocolate satisfying. My mom went back for the cherry pie and corn the next day and she's so hard to please we had to coerce her to try them the night before! The waiting line looked long but went fast. Try it! The service was excellent!

A neighborhood classic and one worth eating at. It’s super delicious and they have a wonderful variety. We sat outside and enjoyed the heaters and people watching. You may have to endure a wait but it’s worth it!

Was a great place to go for our first dinner in San Fran. As someone from Sydney, the prices were a little high for the amount of food you got, but it was delicious! Definitely more Italian style pizza then the stereotypical New York Pizza. The line can get long/restaurant can get busy so go earlier.

Pizzeria Delfina is fantastic, I used to work in the kitchen as a matter of fact. They have their own unique style of Neapolitan pizza, and I love it. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! It’s all fantastic product and all prepared super well. The staff have all been here for extended periods of time, that says a lot about how well run the restaurant is. The pizza pictured here is the chicory pie! One of my favorites! If your in the neighborhood and craving some pizza definitely go to Pizzeria Delfina!
