I’m not big on sweets but I had some room for some dessert after lunch and tried this place while walking through Ferry Marketplace. The icing was so smooth. The cupcake was exquisite. Delicious little treat for the sweet tooth.

A tiny outlet in ferry building. This pastry shop is all about candies of different flavours n cute cup cakes and cookies too. I have given a try for caramel candy and cup cakes . So delicious to have. Prices are on mountain for the items here.

Miette is french for “little crumbs”. What a perfect little name for a perfect little place. Housed in the Ferry Building in San Francisco, Miette is just as adorable as it sounds. This Patisserie and Confiserie was born in 2001 out of Megan Ray’s passion for baked goods and confection. Everything about Miette is so charming from the pastel cake plates that decorate it’s shelves to the delicately decorated baked goods that are for sale.

Miette is a patisserie located inside the Ferry Building. I was taken by how the storefront looked, pastel accents with a French flare but with a freshness that’s unique to California. I knew that the goodies would be tasty. I bought a few pastries to sample. And, they were indeed delicious. The lemon tartlettes were not sour. The graham cracker crust was interesting. It was not loaded with sugar. Instead, sugar crystals were mixed in so you get sweetness at different times as you bite into the tartlettes. The citrus custard had the opposite effect. You’ll taste sweetness at first then a bite of acidity at the end. The tartlettes were works of art. It was a wonderful discovery as I roamed through the different good eats at the Ferry Building.

Ice Cream Sandwiches and Macaroons.... The desserts here are awesome!!! The ice cream sandwiches are so refreshingly awesome and the macaroons are so tasty that I keep on coming back here to buy more. Every time I'm here, I always buy two boxes. Definitely one of my favourite places to stop in whenever I'm in San Francisco. Highly recommend this place for people who love little dessert delicacies.

Delicious macaroons. I tried macaroons for the first time here and couldn't have been more pleased! I tried both a chocolate and pistachio and both were good but the pistachio was extraordinary.

Yummy Sweets. I admit it. I am NOT over the cupcake craze. I know, I know, a lot of you are. But I am firmly hanging on. I love cupcakes.

I certainly love Miette's cupcakes. I've had lots of them. Old Fashioned, Chocolate, and Yellow Lemon get hearty votes from me. Oh, and their gingerbread cupcake deserves some love too. I even included some in my Valentine's day gift bag. Needless, to say, they were a hit. Brownie points or is that cupcake points for me.

Let's not forget the macarons. You can drop some of their chocolate macarons by my deserted island anytime.

Some day, one of two things are going to happen. So that I can try some, I am going to buy some lucky person a cake from there or someone is going to buy one of their cakes for a very lucky me.

The staff has always been friendly. They make great sweets! It's a win-win.

Delicious.. The store itself was adorable. The food was even better. I'm pretty sure my entire family managed to sample the entire store and everything was delicious so I have nothing to complain about.

The best cupcake I ever had. Since I am a cupcake crazy person, I tried most the cupcake in every town I've been. Trust me!! I have tried lots and lots of cupcakes, even the most popular ones. This one is by far the best. My very picky husband agrees with me. The frosting is not too sweet and very flavorful. The cake texture is very moist. Every time I am in bay area, this is the place I must go.

Miette. Rose geranium macaroons, when in season, are supernal. If not, all of the other macaroon offerings have been exceptionally good.
Always lovely, friendly service.

Sweet tooth satisfied. How could anyone not like Miette? Another one of those baffling ratings . . . the desserts that I loved here were the blueberry tart, the lime meringue tart, the banana cream tart, and the wonderfully chewy rose-geranium macaroon. Enjoyed on a sunny day on the benches outside of the Ferry Building--perfection!

Their macarons are pretty much are the best macarons I've had, topping Masse's in Berkeley. They're the perfect texture, a bit chewy, not as overly-sweet as other places, and the perfect amount of flavor. I'm a fan of the rose macaron, but their other flavors are also amazing! And no food coloring involved! Their ice cream is also a must, and you can take home some of their prepackaged cookies to munch on. I can promise they won't last long!

Miette describes itself as a “dainty little pastry shop, inspired by the patisseries of Paris.” And it really IS a dainty little pastry shop. The store is decorated in pastel pinks and greens, packets of colourful candy line the shelves, and neatly frosted cupcakes and cakes sit behind glass cabinets awaiting a home.

Yay, another expensive organic bakery to review. Hey before you go and roll your eyes, hear me out. The desserts here are fantastic. You get your choice of pastries, cakes, miniature to full-sized tarts, cupcakes, macaroons, and even homemade candies here

Super fun stop while visiting the Ferry Building. We picked a few packaged candies because they looked so cute and also got a few macarons. Very interesting that they make all the same cookie and just change the filling. All our flavors were good, but didn't stand apart from each other as much as I was used to. Super cute pink bag made carrying our treats back that much more fun!

Beautiful and chic bakery and pastry shop located in the ferry building. The staff are friendly and helpful. Packaged chocolate, cookies, and candies for purchase set up all around the shop. Clean and organized. They also sell cakes, cupcakes and macarons. I purchased the macarons, hazelnut, dolce de leche and pistachio. The macarons are incredibly delicious and tasty and true to their flavor. Some of the best I've had in a long time. Store items can make a great gift. In my opinion, the items are overpriced. Definately worth trying the macarons and I would come back to try other baked goods.

I have a serious macaron addiction, and Miette makes my absolute favorite. Their flavors are all delicious and unique without trying too hard to be unusual, and while it's a small thing, the fact that their pat a choux is natural rather than artificially colored to look eye catching in a display, speaks to their commitment to making exceptional sweets. Their picnicker cakes are unreal, the gingerbread is possibly the best cake I've ever had outside of Tartine. Gummies and candies are incredible, cupcakes a wonderful as well, cookies are great. If you stop by, don't leave empty handed.

I could easily comeback to this place every week. Everything they sell is delectable. We have been customers for years and have sampled practically the whole offerings. If there is one thing that I would love to have them make is the carrot cupcake without nuts. (allergic). Highly recommend

Very nice cupcake. I tried the chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream. Cake was tasty and moist. Buttercream is not my favorite but it was well done.

I can't speak for the pastries, but the ice cream sandwich was SO DELICIOUS. Apparently they make their own ice cream (this was off to the side in a little freezer), and this was the Neapolitan one. It was sandwiched between 2 of their chocolate wafer cookies (similar to a chocolate shortbread). Absolutely amazing!

The cupcake was very good. I got the yellow cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. The cake was extremely moist and the frosting was was so buttery smooth. It melted in my mouth and was the best frosting I’ve ever had.

I've never tried gingersnaps and don't like ginger itself either, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But Miette's gingersnaps are on the 7x7 list, so I had to try it out and was pleasantly surprised! The ginger taste is strong, but for some reason, in cookie form it's not as revolting to me. Definitely had a nice crunch. I brought these to my family and they finished off the box pretty quickly. I've tried the chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, and hazelnut macaroons and I liked pistachio best. But my favorite Miette product is their lavender shortbread! I love Miette's packaging...too cute!

The most delicious and sinful cupcakes that is mouth-watering and aesthetically pleasing. I first bought a cupcake in 2007 and have always made sure I have a chocolate cupcake each time I'm in SF. The icing on top of the cupcake just makes me smile. Note: It's not the cheapest cupcake in town but worth every cent.
