Went for lunch with my client, we ordered the shrimp scampi appetizer and the steak salad. We loved every savory succulent bite. The waiter was sensitive to our time constraint. I highly recommend Credo.

AMAZING! The food was great and the flavor the pasta had was just right. The wine was paired nicely and the service was above all. Timothy and Mark our waiter and bartender went above normal customer service!

I've been coming here for years. It's great for any occasion- drink at the bar, private event in the private room downstairs, a lively dinner upstairs with friends or colleagues. The food is always excellent and the service impeccable. My favorites are the Burrata and the Octopus Salad. It's a hidden gem in the FiDi!

Credo is a solid establishment in SF and nails 4-stars in every aspect. Everything - food, service, atmosphere, price - is above average and occasionally touches the 5th star but there is definitely something missing to hit that caliber. Unlike many SF restaurants, Credo has secured a large enough space where they definitely set their atmosphere to make a statement. Rustic yet modern interior design with big bold fonts on white definitely takes you away from the streets that wrap the joint. The restaurant feels airy and large windows enhances the mood. Food is solid too. The croquettes were crispy. The baked brie was well balanced and sweet. The fig jam was hearty. The bread was warm with delicious butter and salt. The presentation was also great. But none of the dishes were memorable. They all tasted good, but nothing registered in my mind as unique nor irreplaceable. Again, above average, down the middle, execution. Credo has a reasonable price for what they provide and for this, I do think the restaurant will be popular for the foreseeable future. And yes, I would return. But there's that part of me that wants more. I want to see Credo fully unleashing its potential. They need to take a bit more stance with their taste. Pick a path and commit to it.

Ok. Found this place because it was close to hotel. We walked in and IMMEDIATELY I wanted to hate this place. There are quotes on the wall that could be seen as derogatory and political. I found several right next to me that I did not agree on. I was now giving this place a one star. Buuuut Our waiter Angel was very fast and extremely friendly. He lied to me about jalapeños but I let that slide (inside joke). He was genuine and checked on us often. I ordered the spicy margarita and I am from Texas so did not expect much. I was amazed at how good this was. I had to order a second to make sure and the second was amazing also. My wife had the old fashion which neither of us cared for. We both ordered the burger and it came out extremely fast and was delicious. My wife added avocado and I added an egg. They were both delicious. They came with Parmesan fries and they were cooked perfect. Crunchy on outside soft on inside. So this was one place that went from 1 star to a 5 because they have great service, awesome food and an angel making margaritas. Gave three stars because of decor. This may be some people’s thing but I found some of them offensive. Either way you really should try this place.

Great service. Very quiet on a Friday night. Excellent wine menu. Reasonably priced. We had the hummus which was fantastic. The Cobb Salad with chicken was large and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The salmon was good, a little dry for my taste but I asked for medium so that may have been their definition of medium. Great dessert selection as well! Overall a solid dinner choice in the city.

Great service and overall really happy with the experience. The dishes looked really good. They brought a loaf of bread with butter which made it a great appetizer. - Had the wild risotto which was great (4/5) I wish it was a bit less liquid though. - beets mozarella salad which tasted ok. Not a fan of the peaches in there. It tasted way too sweet for my taste (2/5) - brussel sprouts with bacon (3/5) it tasted great for a side -octopus. Wasn’t that great. Reallt chewy (2/5)

My husband and I loved the ambiance, the food and the amazing hospitality of the staff! They made his birthday special with a birthday card signed by the staff, and treated us to a yummy dessert! We had seafood, which they have great options for with the halibut, salmon and octopus.

Credo is centrally located in San Francisco, where street parking was not difficult to find on a weeknight. The food was delicious, the service attentive, and the bill...given to someone else who owed me a dinner! $$$ out of $$$$$. I would recommend Credo.

Very nice ambience and lovely staff. Loud so keep in mind if this bothers you, might want to book if you have a limited time slot. We tried dinner, chardonnay and sauvignon Blanc from local vineyards, quite simple but nice. Warm olives are super, its large so share 2-3 ppl. The pasta in pizza bread was fun but would try something different next time.

We chose this place as the menu showed both salmon and pizza, and we knew all our kids would be satisfied. Turned out they only offer pizza for lunch, but the restaurant was kind enough to run down to the basement and pick up some dough to make some pizza for my son! My husband had the burger and I had the pasta, all of our food was delicious and so was the bread and wine. What really makes this place stand out is the wonderful service, the staff went above and beyound to make us feel welcome. Thank you for making our last meal on our two week vacation on the westcoast so memorable!

I had the mushroom Bolognese and it was pretty good, expected a little better. It was pretty bland. Sat outside so it was pretty nice, inside is too noisy for normal conversation.

Everything about our meals was fresh and creative. We started with the Burrata and warm olives. The Burrata was fresh and would highly recommend. I had the Ricotta Gnocch which was tasty and full of flavor. They are good for large groups with the basement seating which has the ambience of good sayings written over the wall. Their service is very good and professional. Picture of the Ricotta Gnocchi.

Food was above average. The space is very creative. If you don't feel like talking to dinner companions, you can stare at the wall forever and still find new quotes to read and ponder.

Was well worth the effort to spend our NYE @Credo. Classic fine dine Italian experience with good music and friendly servers. The dishes were on point with master class burrata, soft textured raviolis and flavorful whole prawns. Affogato fell a bit short of the expectations though.

I was hungry so I walked in for dinner tonight. The hostess, waitress, and other staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was really good and the decor is interesting. My only issue was the butter spread that comes with the complimentary bread. It was incredibly salty, to the point it was inedible. So salty that it caused me to have a coughing fit. It’s as if someone accidentally added two or three times the amount of salt needed. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my dinner. The hummus and salmon dish were tasty and not too heavy.

I never take photos of my food, but next time I come back I have to make an exception. Credo was one of the first restaurants my family found in San Francisco upon relocating to the Bay Area, and boy am I glad we found it. This restaurant has all the pieces you need to make an incredible eating experience. To start, the murals on every wall are both an interesting concept as well as potentially thought provoking. Each credo (how clever), whether or not you agree with it, can have something said for it. In the number of times I’ve been here, I have always managed to find new statements of belief. The food is incredible, and I’ll be bawling if and when they change their menu, due to the volume of items I’ve fallen in love with. The meals I’ve had and the bites of others’ I’ve shared have been cooked to perfection, with the chefs making a conscious effort to provide bold flavor as well as nourishment. (I’d personally recommend the sedanini for a first-timer entree, and the baked pecorino as a starter.) Most importantly, the characteristic that can make or break a restaurant - its staff. Credo never ceases to amaze, and while I’m embarrassed to have forgotten to write down the names of some of my past servers, I’d like to personally thank Sabrina for excellent recommendations and prompt, courteous service, as well as Podric, who not only has an arsenal of bartending knowledge at his disposal, but a charming personality that has proved very fun to converse with. Needless to say I will return many more times!

Deliscious food 😋, great service 😎, but little pricey 💸. But hey, this is downtown San Francisco, and I'm from middle class Detroit. 🤷🏻‍♂️🚘🏁 Still, I'd go again.👍
