Bellota was a wonderful surprise. We were lucky enough to get a walk on at the perfect three top in the bar area. Live music, lighting and ambiance was on point. We ordered mezcal, Brussels sprouts, the egg tortilla, albondigas and the gambas to share between three of us. Just those dishes were the best dinner of the year so far. We will go back the next chance we get!
Try their vegetable dishes. I liked the brussel sprouts best. They made grilled octopus per my special request on my special day. Thanks! The 32oz rib melts in your mouth according to my husband whe ordered it. Service was excellent! We used Uber to get to restaurant because hard to find parking there.
This place is amazing! The lunch menu has many, many delicious choices. We sampled the sweet pea salad, roasted brussel sprouts, albondigas and a paella dish. Everything we ordered tasted fabulous and the service cannot be beat! Ask for one of Tasha's tables! We can't remember having her kind of service. Outstanding! Don't leave without trying their signature drinks and dessert is a must! We will be coming back for the dinner menu soon!
Everything was excellent!! Attentive service and food was perfection. Gambas, pork paella, tortilla and strawberry dessert. Pretty place, guitar player, nice ambiance. Gin and tonic was super cool. They bring a tiny bottle of Spanish Gin so that you add as much as you'd like. Cute!
Best experience I've had in a long time, very friendly atmosphere, great wait staff, enjoyed sitting at chefs table, fun watching our food being prepared
Highly recommend!
Definitely going back!! I went here for my annual holiday dinner with my girlfriends. Bellota even printed out a nice personalized menu for the night and set it nicely at each setting. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful!Every dish we had we so tasty and plated beautifully. They served great portions and the sangria was perfect! Our server was so sweet and helpful, as well!! Can't wait to go back!!
Everything about that place is great. Good looking staff, beautiful kitchen placed perfectly in the middle, and the food was just world class. I can't wait to dine there again.
The atmosphere is great, the service excellent, the Spanish Cava the best, the food very good. I recommend!
Great food! Highlights include the Pan, Cruda, Insalata, Remolacha, and of course the Paellas. The Churros for dessert are deadly, too. The staff is very knowledgable and personable. I've been too many times to admit! Five stars all around!
First time to this restaurant.. great ambiance and live music and great food
2nd time in. Food was amazing. We sat in the bar. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. As soon as we sat down, The smell of mint, basil, sage, lemon, oranges, raspberries, BlackBerries and lavender was in the air. It made me feel so good. All my senses were happy. Couldn't no wait for the what came next. Everything was amazing. Had the pork sandwich with the potatoes. Oh my so good.
Bellota in San Francisco exceeded all expectations and deserves a solid 5-star rating. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the elegant yet comfortable ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The attentive and knowledgeable staff added to the overall charm of the restaurant.
The highlight, undoubtedly, was the food. Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The extensive menu of Spanish cuisine offered a delightful journey through various regions, each plate telling a story of culinary expertise. The paella, in particular, was a standout, a true embodiment of traditional flavors brought to life with a modern twist.
The bar selection was equally impressive, with an array of carefully crafted cocktails and an impressive wine list. The attention to detail extended to the presentation of the drinks, enhancing the overall visual appeal of the meal.
In conclusion, Bellota is a culinary gem that embodies excellence in every aspect. The ambiance, service, and, most importantly, the outstanding cuisine make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining adventure in San Francisco.
Food was really good except for the cruda being a bit too fishy to my liking. The crispy pork belly paella and gambas were particularly amazing. Staff is awesome too!!
Went for restaurant week but ended up going with the normal menu (not many vegetarian options).
All drinks were good.
Chicken Paella is okay to meh.
Tapas - really liked Broccoli, Bravas (potatoes) and Gambas.
Churros 😋
Incredible ambience and food. Ordered the octopus to start and then ordered the split paella of pork belly and squid ink as the main. Both were delicious and so filling. I would recommend coming as a group to try the paella because our party of 2 had trouble finishing it. There was also an indoor performer while we dined and this added to our experience. Churros were not my favourite but the chocolate dips were delicious.
One of the more decent food options in the design district/potrero hill neighborhood. Dined here countless of times. Service is always extra friendly and attentive. The food comes out pretty quickly except for the paella, of course. Great drink options. Love their sangria. Food is great - just don’t expect a lot from it. Lots of seating, both indoor and outdoor.
I love to go sit at the bar on Friday or Sat because there is live music and they are the only place in SF I know of that carries Malfy Gin. They have something like 90 different gins.
The food is great, except the paella, don't get that
One of my go-to spots in the city.Tasty good, excellent service and a very chic but chill vibe.Never disappointed
❤️❤️❤️live music
It was recommended by my friends who live in San Feancisco. I think that this is a Spanish resturant.
We have good time with good foods and wines. I would definitely recommend to anyone who looking for a little upscale resturant for diner. You will not regret.
Amazing service, decor, and food/cocktails. Top notch fine dining in the city. The paella was so delicious. And the sangria and salad was excellent too. Our waiter was very attentive and patient. One of our favorite restaurants in the city.
Excellent Spanish food. The food is on the pricier side, but the quality holds up. The large plates can be shared, and the small plates are fun to try out. The drinks are thoughtfully paired with the food. The paella I ate was amazing, and the dessert was phenomenal. The atmosphere is super fun and the staff is extremely responsive. Only somewhere I’d eat everyday, but would come back here again!
Absolutely delicious! So hard to pick my favorite dish but the single bread with tomato and jamon was unbelievable. Also the Brussels sprouts were phenomenal. Surprisingly didn't love the paella. Rice pudding is a must. This is a wonderful place for dinner!!
Delicious! Recommend any of the paella, charcuterie, and custom gin tonics!
They have a variety of paellas. On the drier side more than on the wet (not good not bad, just depends on you preference). A lot of paella restaurants somehow don't do enough socarrat but this one has enough that i enjoyed it.
Good tapas.
Its dimly lit, and while the tables are mostly full, does not feel too packed. It did not feel intimate either. Not sure if good for a romantic date.
Food is out of this world delishious... high quality ingredients shows...bar staff are one of a kind ...I enjoy the fact that I can ask them what's good and they feed me different food each time and it's wonderful...thank you for awakening my palette!!
The food and drinks are superb! Service impeccable. Don't miss it if you are in San Francisco! One of my favorite places.
