Grubstake Diner - San Francisco - Photo album

It's been a good while since I've been here, but since learning they're open late, I decided to come back and give it a try. I'm always on the hunt for late night spots in the city with good food and Grubstake checks all of the boxes. A cute little spot on Pine, You could probably pass this place a
Great place. They serve breakfast but they don't open til 6pm. A couple vegetarian options. A few times we have gone and they don't have everything that's on the menu. Food is seasoned properly and very flavorful. My only issue is that they do not have hot chocolate. ):
Guy Fieri ate here and guess what I see why. Was delicious and very nice service. They were fast with the food and drinks as well. Me and my husband shared a steak dinner and was perfect. Highly recommend.
Great experience at this restaurant. The standout dishes were the burger and loaded wedges, which were cooked to perfection, and the cookies and cream milk shake, which was creamy and delicious. The only downside was that we had to pay upfront, but this did not significantly impact our enjoyment of
Surprisingly tasty little diner based in old tram car. Open until 3am if you're having a late one. Wide choice & recommend the Philly steak cheese on French roll.
Food was delicious. Made to order. No precooked garbage. Fast orders too. Best place for some late night home made foods. You can taste the love the chefs put into their work. Will be coming back every time I have a late shift.
Came to this place because we had a late flight and it was the only place open until 3 am. Placed looked extremely fine, with fabulous pictures. You gonna see. We took nugget burger which was destroyed by my friend before taking a pic, and California chicken sandwich. Was delicious. Thanks for exper
Literally the best onion rings I've ever had. I also had a patty melt that was also delicious, but the onion rings were beyond amazing. The service was fast and efficient and the building itself is pretty cool.
Nice clean little diner with amazing food. Prepaying is a little weird. But understandable with so many homeless drug addicts roaming the streets. And this place is open till 4 am many nights. I got the patty melt and it was fantastic! Waiter kept my drink topped off.
Love experiencing new to me hidden gems. This place did not disappoint. Got the hamburger with the fried egg and a strawberry milkshake. The whipped cream was AMAZING! I'm definitely putting it on my go back list!
WHAT THE HELL! I'm from TEXAS! I was confident in saying San Francisco has no good food... then I came here. Everything is amazing and delicious! Now my favorite restaurant. The food basically makes love to your mouth! Kudos to the chef!
Went there around 2 a.m. really hungry and found out they had Portuguese food! Really surprised me, but I had to try the Caldo Verde (9 dollars). It was really nice. Also have good sandwiches. Really recommend for a quick snack, even if it is in the middle of the night
This cozy place is a vibe. We love the fact that it’s open till wee hours at night. We ordered a burger with onion rings. One of the best patty we have had. They had added caramelized onions to it. It added that crunch and sweetness. All in all we had a beautiful experience. Perfect place for a cozy
Kitchy little place. Great pics on the walls and a big bar. We were a little apprehensive but we chalked it up to the waitress. (She was a little out of it.) BUT- the Patty Melt was Awesome! Best I've ever had. The beef tasted very good and it was cooked properly. The Rye bread was on point and the
