Mikaku Restaurant - San Francisco - Photo album

My son and I have had sushi on both the east and west coast of the US and from various price ranges. Mikaku costs more than many of the places we have been. Dinner was about $12-20 per sushi plate and $22-30 for hot Japanese dishes. The cost is totally worth it!! The options are typical for a sushi/
Sat at the sushi bar, somehow the chef was both very focused on the arrangements he was preparing yet very engaging with me and the other patrons at the bar. I ordered the chef's choice sashimi and the summer roll. Both were delicious and very fresh. I highly recommend this place.
Good! Very quiet at lunch, but today is also the day before Thanksgiving. Una ju was very fatty; personally would have preferred it a little leaner or maybe more cooked, but still yum. You can split a pot of tea between two.
Great place for Gluten Free sushi! You would think fresh fish should be gluten free naturally - and while you are correct, it’s hard to find a sushi place that has tamari as well as a dedicated GF menu. The hamachi toro was super fresh and the staff is very polite and welcoming. Would highly encour
Fantastic sushi, and they teriyaki sauce was the best we've had in a very long time. Highly recommend!
Mikaku is a hidden gem for reasonable $$$ and awesome Sushi. Edamame to Spicy Tuna rolls were out of the world. We ended up with a group of 20 and still we were welcome with a smile and phenomenal service. Do not leave without trying the Plum Wine with Jalapeño.
Surprise find in San Francisco. Real janpenses chef and wasabi. With the fressh cut fish and friendly service. I highly recommend this place for sushi lover.
Wonderful food and nice service. Good over all selection of saki. I would highly recommend the Japanese mackerel. Get there pre-9 for a walk in table.
We needed a quick delicious lunch before a 2 pm appt. We stumbled upon Mikaku and we were pleasantly surprised. We sat at the bar which was empty when we came in, ordered three lunch special items and some uni. Service was kind and prompt. The food was very delicious, we know our sushi, and it did n
Decent quality food Price felt a bit high, but financial district SF might not be the case.
Love the food here. Unpretentious and simple. Gets super busy so get in early to avoid the wait. Great selection of well made sushi, helpful staff for saké selection. They'll make you some off menu stuff if you're nice to them and you know what to ask for.
If you are looking for the full and engaging Omakase experience, look (and pay more) elsewhere. If you want solid Sashimi and Sushi in a non-pretentious environment, without a four hour wait, this is the place. The waitstaff might be slightly unrefined but they are nice and accommodating. Bottom lin
I had dinner here, buzzing atmosphere and very good service. I sat at the bar and watched the chefs. Everything was fresh and to order, very clean and fantastic presentation. I had the tempura vegetables which were lightly battered and classic and the Alaska sushi roll, really yummy and the pickled
LOVE this place! Best sushi ever! A must see location when visiting this city!
My husband and I eat here regularly and can honestly say it is consistently some of the absolute best sushi we've ever had. The staff are kind, accommodating and efficient. The chef is highly skilled and very personable. The owner, Natasha, is wonderfully sweet and one of the hardest workers we've e
