What a great place to watch the birds and get cheesesteaks that taste just like home! Came to SF for vacation and needed to find a place to watch the EAGLES. Found Jake’s on line. Felt right at home here. Real small place but’s tables were shared, food was great and patrons were great as well. Go Birds! 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅

It’s a super Awesome birds nest! The Chessee steak sandwiches are delicious and the beer was cold, it’s a small place so if you want a seat during a game, get there early! What a great atmosphere when you’re routing for a Philly team!

A darn good cheesesteak sandwich in the Marina. Just like home or as close as it’s going to get. Got both steaks with mushrooms and onions. One with provolone and the other with cheese whiz. Both held up and then some. Especially getting them delivered. Delicious, delicious stuff. The cream cheese poppers were on point. The garlic fries were perfect. They even had Tastykakes 😂 A definite reorder. Dos thumbs up 👍👍

Awesome atmosphere! We watched the EAGLES vs Dallas game here and we had the BEST time! Food was typical bar food and was fast and good. Loved seeing the boathouse row mural and all the great Philly sports items on the walls. Awesome crazy loud horn blasted when the EAGLES scored along with Fly Eagles Fly songs! Super fun with friendly service, owner and bartender!

Needed a close to the hotel place to eat after walking all day around the city! This place was easy to find. Hard to know how to order when you walk in. But you must order at the counter as they don’t have servers. The chicken tenders were very good and they gave us so many! The pizza sandwich was also good! Garlic fries were full of flavor. the motz sticks were also good but the sauce lacked flavor. Over all a good choice for a quickly dinner!

Finally got a chance to experience Jake's steaks in person. Being originally from Philly and currently living in Atlanta, I heard about this place and had to try it. The secret to a good Philly cheese steak is the roll and they do have the right Amoroso rolls. The restaurant itself is smaller than I thought it would be but there is outside seating and I heard that during an Eagles game this is the place to be. My only gripe is that they don't have a lot of Temple University merchandise on the wall. You have to check this place out!

Great cheesesteaks and an even better atmosphere. We went for a quick bite and ended up staying for 2 hours watching the eagles game. The atmosphere was electric.

Good spot for sandwiches and other bar food items. We stopped by on two nights out of the four nights we spent in San Francisco. Basically 5 minutes from our hotel. Food was great and you definitely have to get cheese whiz if you love cheese. We ordered sandwiches- the GMO, the mushroom cheesesteak, the spinach and mushroom, and an original cheesesteak. We also ordered chicken tenders, waffle fries, philly steak fries, wings, and jalapeno poppers. Everything was great and will continue to be a spot we stop by when back in San Francisco. Picture below is from our 2nd order. Stopped by again twice in December and still as delicious. Below are the pics of the 2nd trip lol.

Friendly staff and amazing cheesesteaks. The mushroom one is in particular fabulous if you like sautéed cremini mushrooms. Beef slices are super thin and soft, with just the right amount of cheese

What a diamond in the vault of San Francisco! I stayed at the Coventry Inn about 500 feet away and was lucky enough to wander west on Buchanan and find Jake's. So cool. A tiny space that fills with an impressive number of sports fans during the game season. They also have a few tables outside if you want some quieter (?) time. The blue-cheese burger was one of the best I've ever had. The 22 oz. tap beer made my day. A winner for SF.

Was okay. I ordered ahead for pickup. Compared to other Cheesesteaks in the city it’s not one I’d return for. Lacking a lot of flavor, soggy bread yet somehow dry meat. Maybe it’s because it was the end of the day but still no excuse.

Great sports bar in San Francisco, one of the best philly cheesesteak I ever had. Prices are fair, and the place is great. If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, this place is a must-go (actually any football fan, except for Cowboys for obvious reasons).

Great local spot for a real Philly style cheesesteak. Giving the food 5 stars because it’s exactly what I expect to get when I come here - a cheesesteak with that soft Philly bread, fries, a draft beer, and whatever game is on the TV. The original owner, from Philly, was in here tonight and was ecstatic to see that the original bar setup and all the old Philly sports memorabilia was still on the walls. He properly corrected my order to cherry peppers instead jalapeños, though I still ordered jalapeños because they’re my favorite pepper, but it was fun to have this kind of interaction at a local spot. Bonus: Valencia Street spot is open until 2:00 AM for Doordash (or whichever app) when you’re home and need a late night snack for one of those weekend nights!

I first heard about Jake's in 2014 from a girl I worked with while I was living in Philly. Once I knew I was visiting SF I knew I had to try it out and get a taste of my second home that I miss now that I no longer live there. It tasted just like I remember from Philly! Incredible cheesesteaks!!!!
