I've been coming to Citrus Club since 2015. It is my go to place when I want to order a flavorful soup or a spicy noodle dish. There are plenty of non-spicy options too. The portions are super generous so most entrees end up being two meals. When I called to ask about ingredients in certain dishes (due to dietary restrictions), the staff was extremely helpful.

Stopped in for some pho the other day just before they were closing. They didn't seem to mind and served us with a friendly demeanor. I had the beef and my friend had chicken. Both were decent but nothing super special. I like the place though. It has a good vibe to it and the prices are reasonable. I'll certainly go back

Good lunch! Restaurant is a bit dark so my eyes were surprised when I exited. Soup was good and the beer too. Nothing too fancy but it was just what I needed. The portion size was huge so I had a hard time finishing it.

Got a HUGE bowl of coconut shrimp dumpling soup. I ate half of my soup last night and had an entire bowl left for breakfast this morning. Considering our current economic climate I’m only spending money if it’s going to be worth it for me financially and basically I spent $10 on dinner and $10 on breakfast-that’s how big these servings are. Server was incredibly nice and apologetic because the kitchen messed up my order so I’m honestly grateful that she was aware enough and considerate enough to communicate the error with me openly instead of just letting me sit and wait like a frustrated goat. I’m looking at the menu now and am seeing a lot of items I’d like to try out-probably everything on the menu! I have a feeling this will be my new go-to restaurant since it’s right in the middle of my job and home.

I ordered the Thai-Coconut Shrimp Wonton Soup add snow peas and received a very generous portion of both. The creamy soup was filling and flavorful, and the snow peas were fresh, sweet and crispy. Don't bother with egg rolls but spring for dessert - caramelized bananas and ice cream was delicious.

The Tom kha, garlic edamame, and pho ga’ mommy soup’ dish’s are all really well done. My kids annihilated their noodle/veg/ protein dish in no time. This place has been here forever for a reason. Great portions, fast service, and a chill atmosphere.

Dear 20 and 30-something’s who may be new to SF: You go to the Citrus Club for soup—full stop. Everything else is whatever. If you’re giving this place less than five stars and/or not eating here regularly, it’s your own fault for not ordering soup. Let’s be clear: there is no vibe at the CC—ignore the decor, the middle-aged diners happily eating soup alone (hi!), and the tv playing a weird movie on the sci-fi channel. None of this matters—be your own ambiance—only your future with soup matters. Fun fact that people who are newer to the City might not know: for many years, one had to wait in a LONG line for soup here! The pandemic, takeout culture, and overall SF transiency have hit the Citrus Club hard, and while I’m glad I don’t have to write my name on a chalkboard and stand in line anymore, I might never recover if this place goes out of business. Lemme just tell you what to order to save you time. Hot and Sour Veggie Soup or the Thai Coconut Shrimp Wonton Soup. There, done. Now you can enjoy your life so much more. P.S. the sriracha hot wings are actually pretty scrumptious, but only as a side to soup.

Great ambiance, amazing chicken satay starter with complimentary sauce. The skewers came out packed with meat. The Khao Soy noodles comes with thick round egg noodles, which might be a fusion take on the traditional flat and wide rice noodles, so I'm not sure if noodles absorbed and coated the flavors of the broth well. I'd say the noodles became more flavorful towards the end of the dish bc it's had time to absorb the broth, and the fact that the spices accumulate to the bottom of the bowl. Overall a great place to find south-east asian dishes in Haight, where the option would be Thai food otherwise. The second time around I ordered the Burmese coconut curry noodles and it was devine. The egg noodles are thoroughly coated in the creamy, coconutty sauce while the well-cooked carrots and mushrooms cut through the richness to provide variety in every bite. I was well pleased with the sauce-to-noodle ratio as by the time I finished the noodles the sauce didn't go wasted on the plate.

Nothing fancy, but solid & reliable noodles. Nice service. I’ve been coming here for 10 years, love to see things unchanged in SF.

Awesome food and huge portion sizes! Exactly what I needed to fill myself up, yet was also so refreshing. The tofu had no flavor whatsoever but other than that it was great. Service was very kind and helpful, great music.

BEST EDAMAME you will taste. Definitely recommend the hot sour soup with shrimp it was amazing! My friend got the peanut noodles. She said it was bad I tried it and it literally tasted like peanut mush. That I would NOT recommend.

Plenty of outdoor dining, not sure if it's heated. Giant bowls of stuff, quite tasty. Also plenty of vegan options, but still good things for carnivores, too. However, don't go here thinking you're getting "cheap eats", cause this place ain't cheap. Tasted fresh though, and you can easily get 2 meals from their big bowl entrees. Top tip: bring your own Tupperware with a screw on lid for your leftovers. Reasonable beer prices.

We got a couple vegetarian noodle dishes, portions are large (at least 1.5 meals each). They were heavy on the noodles, light on the other ingredients. One's sauce was spicy and pretty flavorful, the other was surprisingly bland. I wouldn't go out of my way to order either dish again, I'd get Thai food from down the street instead.

The Burmese coconut noodle plate was exactly everything I was hoping it would be. Excellent flavors and portion size. Reasonably priced and great service.
