I walked in here with a friend of mine on a whim. We decided to try a few typical items to test the food out. We started off with (26) Hung Tao Yee Won Ton Soup. It was a simple egg drop soup with crispy wontons. The wontons had a nice flavor to them that paired well with the soup. Next, we tried (4
Came across when searching Chinatown. Great hole in the wall underground restaurant. Food was fantastic! Chicken fried rice and the sautéed (crispy, honey) walnut shrimp was perfect. Atmosphere simple but friendly and cozy. Waiters nice and efficient. Nothing fancy, just good!
Randomly chose this place for lunch and it did not disappoint! Don't let the basement location and humble decor sway you. My husband and I each got the meal for one and the food is great; I ate my food so fast there wasn't time for picture. 😂 The service is good as well. I don't think anyone speaks
Wow! The food was super delicious, the service was top notch, and the restaurant was well decorated. We enjoyed the dinner for 2 - an excellent value
Woey Loy Goey is a neat Chinatown basement style restaurant. Staff speaks English. Tonight I ordered off the menu, a crispy tomato beef noodles $13. It came with a complementary house soup. The chef did a great job with my crispy noodles. It was crispy with a perfect mix of gravy. Some other places
I used to always drive my grandma down to Chinatown atleast once a month. She wanted to get her $5 dollar haircut! I never told her I spent more money paying for parking down there than the cost of her haircut! However, she did treat me to dim sum or lunch here @ New Woey Loy Goey afterwards. My g
Came here looking for wonton soup and I was super impressed by their extensive menu. They had like 10 variations of wonton soup to choose from! Plus, a whole menu of about 20 different entrees for each type of meat you prefer. Beef, chicken, pork, fowl, seafood and vegetarian lovers will enjoy the a
We ordered the Explosive Chicken with Chili Powder and szechuan scallops. Everything was excellent with lots of flavor.
Loved this place. Food was great. Service was fine. We didn’t have a conversation because they spoke Chinese and we did not but we managed to order and got our food. It’s Chinatown. I’m not sure how some of these reviews are mad about the lack of communication. Got our food and drinks quickly and l
We love to eat here whenever we're in the city. Always nice and warm from the chill outside, and good food that hits the spot.
Food is delicious! Best roasted duck I’ve ever had!
Delicious and satisfying meal...if Hongkong is too far....try this resto.
If you don't know what to order and want to try something different than regular items like chow mien, fried rice then I suggest try no.171, 208 and 155. The meal is quite large..
I had the beef wonton soup. It was hearty and delish.
We choose this place by recommendation. Don't let the basement and canteen style look fool you. (which turns out to be well decorated if you look close). We had a delicious traditional chinese dinner there and enjoyed it so much we forgot to take pictures.
Local chinese community eats there, which i
