Marcello's Pizzeria - San Francisco - Photo album

I love Marcelo’s Pizza. Not only is it conveniently located for me. It is located in the great neighborhood of the Castro. Their slices are on the pricier side but when you buy a fresh pizza…yes, yes, yes. It fulfills me in so many ways. I usually take pizza to go or order delivery. I am not a fan o
I absolutely love their Pizza! The chef made half cheese and pepperoni for my grandson and he made half light sauce, feta cheese and basil for me. It was absolutely delicious the crust is so crisp and light it's wonderful and I love their pizza sauce as well. It's a small place, pizza by the slice
Smelled a heavenly slice as it was walked into a nearby bar. “Where is?” Everyone said, “oh, that’s Marcelo’s Pizza, best in Castro.” No my friends, that’s underselling it. I’ll make a bold claim. It’s the best pizza of my life. Better than that time in Naples Italy, better than my fav NY street pi
Great pizza! SOoooo glad I stopped in!! The very nice young woman at the counter heated the combo slice & removed the onions (I said beforehand I didn't care for & would remove myself). The flavors & crust were EXCELLENT!!! Later, her & the male cook had a disagreement that was intensifying. I inter
Always sold out of the pesto pizza! Get there fast. Great petite pizza spot. Perfect for a late night snack grabs on a Saturdays (if you know what I mean!) Best part; never fails on taste, quality, and speedy service.
Price check: current going rate of a slice is $6.50.
Been eating here since 2001. Of course love the pizza. But lately in the evening weekends there is black ponytail sour uninterested bored chick that works there. Ugh. I had to say Hi to her 3 times before she even bothered to respond. This is the 3rdx I have met her. Yack… love the pizza tho.
The Sicilian style slices are a great thickness and crunch doughy resistance texture. Single slices get extra cooking which makes it better than a whole pie.
It’s definitely the most delicious pizza in SF, and quite possibly the entire Bay Area. EDIT: Before I was forced to move away because techies caused the rents of an already expensive city shoot through the roof, I don’t know if the pandemic has forced them to no longer sell by the slice, but if the
Good service, had a massive calzone which was ok and took about 30 min to make, the pastry was not as good as the regular slice but overall solid spot with great pizza options
A great place to grab a slice or two. Quite tasty. Steps from the light rail stop in The Castro, and the 24 and 33 lines.
It's amazing that $4.75 can get you a decent slice of pizza in SF. One of the best places to stop for a quick & inexpensive dinner in the Castro.
Cheap and delicious - great for lunch on the go! Plenty of veggie options.
Just moved here from Washington, DC and this place is amazing. I’ll be back.
