Lovely brunch menu, chill and friendly place opposite a nice little park for those with kids who can't sit still for long! Try the moist and creamy French toast and the excellent savoury bread pudding with a side of bacon. The croque monsieur was tasty but a touch dry, but the 'pop tart' and custard egg where a delight.

That Chocolate Egg is amazing. A perfect marriage between Creme Brulee and Chocolate Moose! The flavor is one of a kind too. Then the Korean Style Fried Rice was to dye for. Rich in flavor and light in texture. We polished the plate in less than 5 minutes. Although wished there is some meat protein in it too.

While the service is fantastic and very attentive, the food is underwhelming. The waffle in the chicken and waffle wasn’t well made and the chicken tasted very gamey. It’s not worth the prices.

What a great find on the edge of the Mission District. The chicken breast dish is one of the best I’ve had! Cauliflower was also flavorful. Great service too.

Bold statement, but this place likely has the best French toast in the city! Their homemade"Pop tart" is pretty spot on as well!

I helped organize a birthday dinner here for a party of 8. We were seated at the long table on the upper floor overlooking the restaurant. This was a really nice departure from the bustle of other mission restaurants. It's a neighborhood joint for sure. The food was really good and fairly priced. The service was spotty but not poor. I ordered the chicken trio which included a chicken leg, chicken sausage, and a poached egg among other fixings. Something about dipping a perfectly roasted chicken leg into a poached eggs feels so wrong yet so right. I am definitely planning on coming back here. If I still lived in the city, I'd probably wind up here every other weekend!

Loved our meal at this place. I live nearby, and I'm so grateful to have this place in the neighborhood. The ambiance is classic New American: slightly rustic, exposed Edison bulbs in mason jars for lighting. The food is somewhat complex (squid ink ravioli shells?) and delicious. Great service too. I will be back!

The perfect neighborhood restaurant: delicious but not pretentious, cozy but not cramped, friendly but not trying too hard, lovely and lively but not loud. We come at least every few months, and while the menu always changes, every single thing we've had has been amazing, from the salads to the meats to the dessert wines. Can't recommend Hillside Supper Club enough!

Although this won't be the most amazing meal you have ever had, this place is definitely worthy of a 5 rating. From service to execution of food, to the drinks and price - this place hit on all cylinders. For appetizers, we had the Steak Tartar, Grilled Octopus and Clams. The Steak Tartar stole the show and was very good. The Octopus came as a cold dish, which threw me offguard, but it had good balance and depth. The clams had a great broth, but we're okay (caveat - I lived in New England for years and you can't beat those clams). For dinner, I had the Hen and it was absolutely delicious - delicate, seasoned well and so moist. My family enjoyed everything they are and we left very pleased. Service is professional and tight. I definitely recommend.

We happened upon the Supper Club purely by chance. We are from out of town and after driving by the overcrowded restaurants in the Mission, we were headed back to our hotel to get ready for our flight the next morning. We instantly liked the atmosphere so we decided to sit down. Being from the South, I guess we don't have the most culturally diverse palates, so the food selection wasn't really in our comfort zone. The waitress was very friendly and reassured us that we would love our meals. Fast forward about 45 minutes, and we left after having one of the best meals in recent memory, and we even had the pleasure of chatting tableside with the chef/owner, Tony, who could not have been more gracious and more welcoming. I had the handmade cocoa corzetti pasta with duck, and my wife had roasted winter squash and the county line chicory salad. My dish was outstanding, and I especially savored the handmade pasta. My wife's squash was perfect, and we loved the ricotta topping with the currant-pine nut relish. For desert, my wife ordered the peanut butter ice cream which turned out to be one of the best decisions of our 14 year marriage. Quite honestly, the best ice cream I've ever had, and I'm pretty much a mint-chocolate chip guy. Thanks for the perfect compliment to end our trip, and we can't wait to come back. My only concern is that by that time, the secret will be out, and we won't be able to get in the door.

The food and the place is full of passion and love. Hillside's crew really cares that you're happy and feel taken care of. Everything you eat is at the top of its game and prepared just for you, so don't be afraid if you have a food you don't like; they'll help you out the best they can. If you eat everything and anything, this crew will hook you up with the freshest and bestest of the season. The wine list also has something for every person and every budget and the staff will help you out. If you don't get a pot pie, you're a fool.

Wonderful off the beaten path neighborhood restaurant. Their motto is comfortable food - no pressure and it's spot on. The seasonal Italian inspired food is delicious and the owners and staff are friendly and fun. Looking forward to my next meal.

This place was recommended by an old friend and it did not disappoint. They were kind enough to squeeze us in without reservations on their busiest night (if you go on a Monday definitely make reservations). The food was simple, delicious and expertly prepared.

This place is a real gem - less crowded than similar spots, great food, kind wait staff, and a community feel that's rare and endearing. I highly recommend their weekend brunch! One of the only places I know of to get both excellent espresso and top notch food together.
