Pros: - CHILI (so meaty! well-seasoned) - small bowl of chili is very filling - they give you a beeper after you order so you can continue to wander around the building while you wait for your food - chili cheese fries are good too Cons: - I'm not sure why it takes them so long to prepare the chili... I thought they just scoop it into a bowl? It takes around 10 min for me to receive it every time... - burgers seem overpriced, but they give you a good amount of quality meat Bottom line: The chili here is one of my favorite dishes in the entire Ferry Building. I usually force my visiting friends/family to taste it and all of them have loved it so far.

I've always managed to walk past this spot at the Ferry Building because the American Fare portion of Prather Ranch is on a side aisle. I'm glad I finally tried one of their burgers because they were awesome! They're the perfect size. I had the seasonal "Mission Burger" with jalapeños, bacon and white cheddar. It came charbroiled and reminded me of burgers I had outside as a kid during the summer. Next time I'd order it medium-rare because medium was a little more cooked than I usually like. I'll be back!

Favorite Americana place to eat in SF! We love the hot $5 chicken bone broth with the fresh rosemary sprig, it's so tasty, spices/salt level is all perfect! Favorite butcher shop, too. Lamb sausages are a must try! Great, friendly service. Superb quality meats using small, local family farmed, free range.

Our favorite butcher, with the best beef you'll find anywhere. We knew it was good when they told us we could grill their *chuck roast* and it ended up being some of the best grilled beef we'd ever had. The counter folks are friendly and helpful. We mentioned we wouldn't get the meat home for a couple of hours and he vacuum-packed a bunch of ice cubes for us. They'd barely started melting by the time we got home, and our steaks were cool and happy.

There's much more to the Prather Ranch Meat Company than the well-known and much loved takeaway "cones of meat" that you'll see hoisted all around the Ferry Building. Anyone who loves the meat, from the keto to the chef, will find something of value at Prather. High quality, tasty, with a staff that're friendly and knowledgeable, even during the Saturday crush. The best part is that you can ask serious cooking questions, from grilling to braising, and be assured that you'll be given useful help in selecting exactly the right meat for the meal.

My number one stop to grab meet in the Ferry Building. The staff is incredibly helpful and the quality of the meat is very good. They often run specials on bacon and sausages, which is great because you can load up and put the extra in the freezer for later. The jerky is also amazing!

High quality take-away for meat products. They have 2 tables next to the shop if you want to eat your food right there. We had the hot dog and it was yummy. There are different types of hot dogs, all look great. Really good options for meat lovers in the ferry building.

Om nom nom nom nom delicious burgers. I'm always up for a delicious burger, and this place definitely did the trick. We were at the Ferry Building looking for a good place to eat and came across this place on Yelp. Got the Roasted Garlic burger and truly enjoyed it. I would absolutely order this again. Definitely a bit on the pricey side, but what isn't when you are in San Francisco..? Highly recommend it if you are in the mood for a delicious burger!! :)

The prepared little meat sandwiches were fantastic! On little Rosemary rolls with meat, cheese and arugala . I asked the gentleman behind the register what type of salami was used and he points to the little loose Salami's, so I purchased the two kinds at 14.00 dollars a piece ( excessively high) , came home thinking this was the same and very dissatisfied with the quality and definitely not the same! So enjoy there sandwich for a quick bite, but please in the future educate the people behind the counter!

I love exploring the Financial District during lunch, especially the Ferry Building! We wanted to try something new so we stopped by Prather Ranch. My boyfriend ordered a BBQ beef sandwich (pretty good) and I ordered le best salad evvverrrr with kale, sweet potatoes, some kind of lemon dressing, and pulled pork (please don't tell me this was seasonal!! O_O). Excited to go back and try more things!
