I don’t as here early Saturday morning and the long lines I heard about haven’t started yet. My pork sui mai was acceptable, nothing to write home about. The beef sui mai tasted a little artificial, doesn’t taste like beef?
The dim sum is reasonable here, but not really that fresh or good?
It is nice they have few ingredients bales in the back so you eat it there if you want. Also the bathroom is a bonus.
One of the best Dim Sum places in SF. Located in a bustling neighborhood of Richmond, this place has a perfect menu with reasonably priced goodies! The quality and taste definitely deserve five stars. The only downside is they don’t specify ingredients in some of their items which might confuse some dietary restricted customers! I got a big chicken bun thinking that it had chicken filling for someone who doesn’t eat pork, but found out it had pork and boiled egg fillings along with chicken. It would be better if the menu items are descriptive, esp considering that they are always busy and the line can go almost half a block; this would save some time for the employees explaining customers unfamiliar to Dim Sum.
tasty counter service dim sum spot that’s cash only. take the dishes to go or sit by the tables in the back. would recommend!
- shrimp har gow: solid, well made
- shrimp and chives dumpling: solid, well made
- steamed bbq pork buns: highly recommended, they don’t skimp on filling
- fried taro puffs: perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy inside
- egg tart: so flaky and eggy
Good Luck Dim Sum, was a nice treat. The fried pot stickers and the shrimp Dumplings are quite tasty.
There was NO oyster sauce or sweet n sour. They also ran out of egg rolls.
best dim sum i ever had…i was only in town for a few days but i wish i lived here. in an ideal world i would have a personal assistant pick up some of the deep fried balls, pork delicacies, and whatever else they got to my beautiful home in nob hill. unfortunately, i’m a san diegan where you cannot find dim sum as tasty or inexpensive…crying but hopeful that one day i may taste this again. until next time… xiexie
Pretty good dim sum!! Cash only. Long line up but it went by pretty fast.
Ok, it is our first time being here. So, this is a FUNNY story.
The sheet says 3 for $3.60. We assumed it would be select 3 items for $3.60. I wished the sheet made it more clear. Apparently, it’s 1 selection comes with 3 pieces. Clearly, we didn’t know. So, we ended up with so much food! This is something to watch out for if you’re new to this store. 😂 We ended up paying over $80 which is fine. We can finish it over the days and plus support Asian business
If you need a place to have a quick bite of Dim Sum after church like Christmas Day, check out Good Luck Dim Sum. Make sure you bring CASH ONLY! They usually close on nMondays & Tuesdays. But Christmas Day Monday 2023. It’s open! Shei shei
Alert! They’re now closed Mondays and tuesdays. My usual day was Monday but I’ll have to shift to Wednesdays. That way everything is super fresh! We love this take out place that has evolved over the decades. The staff has become more service focused and I even see non Chinese speakers order $ thousands of dollars worth of take out dimsum. It’s amazing what volume of business these food entrepreneurs crank out. We’re always impressed with the quality of the steamed dumplings, the tea leaf wrapped chicken and rice, many of the sweet items and the steamed pork buns. Their rice soup or Jook also is so soothing — it usually has a line but they’re pretty no nonsense and move the line. First thing to do is grab a pink menu and pencil on the counter then wait in line while you make your choices. Then you’ll be ready!
Line was long, inside tight, food affordable and kind of better than what we’ve tried so far in SF.
Would come back, possibly but also want to find a place that has dim sum carts and more options than just dumplings.
PS the egg custard was moldy.
I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Friends parents would drive us from outside of sf just to hit this spot up. I come as an adult and appreciate them so much for making the best DIM SUM in the world.
Shrimp and chive dim sum literally unmatched. Big and tasty. 100/10.
Potstickers best in the west. Big and flavorful.
Everything reasonably priced and BOMB.
If you have someone picky in your group and they don’t want to go here for whatever reason…. Tell them to shhhh and they will be blown away!
To the owners. Let’s open more locations!!!! Love you guys!
