Relatively decent restaurant with excellent dishes with equal prices for all of them. Would highly recommend grilled calamari for filet mignon, if available. Both came juicy and done well on the spot to have your taste buds explode. Salmon was good as well, however, very tiny piece. The entries came with some slow cooked carrots, potatoes and zucchinis, which did not underline the protein portion. Make sure to save some room for tiramisu and chocolate cheesecake that were outstanding. Design and process organization do need some attention though. Reserved a table for over 15 people, and when our party arrived, the restaurant was empty and the tables were not set. Tables themselves are small and Jen tightly fit four persons with no extra room. Atmosphere is intimate for a pleasant dinner. Overall good place to stop by for a joyful dinner with your significant other.

This place was so amazing!! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We came in close to close and they still made everything wonderfully! The fresh crème in the Alfredo was so good and flavorful. the gnocchi was amazing! We ordered dessert and the cheesecake was so so so light and tasty! We visit San Francisco but this was our first time in…. It definitely won’t be the last time!!!

Mescolanza Restaurant was a wonderful discovery. The food was exceptionally good. The polenta with a mushroom sauce, the carpaccio, ravioli and radicchio with gorgonzola were all perfectly executed. I will return!

Mescolanza is my favorite Italian restaurant in SF. My family and I have been going to this family owned establishment for years. They make the best Gnocchi allo Genovese (pesto gnocchi) that is melt in your mouth delicious! The pesto sauce is creamy and rich with basil flavor. Other pesto gnocchis just don't compare to theirs. I also recommend their salmon, carbonara, and their eggplant appetizer. All their other dishes are solid too. Staff is welcoming and attentive. They also have a larger room where you can host small dinner parties! They did a wonderful job with my sister's wedding dinner.

8/19/2023 And just like that…. It’s over. After seeing this restaurant on the news with the story of leaving SF after many years due to inflation and an increase in rent, I had to come show my support. Greeted by Erick ( owners son) seated quickly and nibbled of bread with fresh oil and vinegar. A pinot Grigio and Chardonnay to accompany the tomato mozzarella salad and steak tartar. Before dinner we enjoyed deep conversation with a loyal couple that have frequented this place for years. We enjoyed the ravioli but favored the meat tortellini in cream sauce with the potato gnocchi. Both were Rich, buttery and flavorful. For dessert more conversation with the regulars who are married over 30 years and now travel in their retirement. The tiramisu was FABULOUS and the Porto wine flavorful. After this experience I understand why the owner would rather retire than sacrifice flavor and quality. Wishing you the best and hoping after a few months…. You decide to come back. You have gained another fan.

I highly recommend the angel hair pasta with grilled artichokes. The pasta was al dente and the proportions of the artichokes was somewhat generous. If your more interested in seafood, then try having the pasta with some grilled prawns! They don't over do it on the sauce either. Who wants to eat just sweet sugar tomato sauce, right? The garlic bread was wonderful has well, but you have been warned, it is quite powerful (breathe mints are advised)

Nearly 21 years ago we took our first born along to the Clement Street location. He was in a baby carrier. We had a great dinner as new parents with a couple of friends. Fast forward to a recent power outage due to the storms when we took our boy and his younger sister. Such a warm, friendly dinner. The tables are well spaced. The decor provides a background without becoming an attraction itself. The wait staff were prompt, super friendly and added to the memories. The Montepulciano wine backed up the flavors of the pasta perfectly. We'll be back again and highly recommend you try it out and make some memories of your own.

Pastas were well made and tasty but the portions are not large. Order a pizza and soup and you will be fine.

I would say it's a good Italian restaurant, it gave me the feeling that I was back in Italy. I ordered a pasta (capenelli al pomodoro) however in my opinion it lacked raw ingredients as I expected more fresh Basil and cherry tomatoes. The pizza however was amazing as it had a nice thin crust and I really liked the spumoni.

Pizza and pasta were so delicious! Also they have a lovely wine list that is very reasonably priced. My kiddos loved their gnocchi. Will definitely be back!

Classic inner city joint that looks casual from the outside but well kept and classy on the inside. Staff is very friendly and food is good.

We had gnocchi and pizza, and cappuccino. The service was good, cappuccino tasted really good - I usually don't get it because it is too strong for me - the pizza was freshly made with bready crust.
