Highly recommended. Paella bar!! Need I say more? The black pork was truly amazing too. I recommend a small paella to share and some of their tapas. The colones were really good too...such a delicate, yet flavorful mushroom flavor.
best breakfast we found in frisco! the service was awsome and super fast
Excellent service and great food a true Spanish Tapas location. The paellas were all cooked to order. We watched from our high top table. Have to try the iberico meatballs next time. Save room for crema catalana
Seriously the best restaurant meal I've had in ages. The service and atmosphere are also top notch.
I have eayen there several times and each dish i tried was deee-lish. Service was top-notch!
Absolutely incredible! We were able to get seated right away even without reservations. The seafood paella was super delicious! The service was also great.
My favorites were the mussels, chicken and the seafood paella. Nice, relaxed, fun ambience
The food was delicious! Everyone needs to order the surf and turf paella 🥘 and the shrimp when they go.
Delicious food!! Great service!! We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching them cook! Arugula and pear salad with pine nuts was amazing! Meat paella was fabulous! Can't wait to return!
Delicious spicy Brüssel sprouts and meatballs!!!!
After living in Spain for a year, it’s been hard to find actual good Spanish food in the US, this place was phenomenal and meet those expectations. Che was our waiter and they were amazing, with wonderful service and going above and beyond. We celebrated a birthday and they definitely made it special. The octopus was incredible and the reason we came, totally worth it. The seafood paella was wonderful with those familiar flavors, and a lot of seafood. We were shocked by the price for such good food, just one of those great restaurant experiences that make you sit down and write a review! Thank you again.
I recently had a fantastic dining experience at Bota Tapas & Paella Bar with a group of two.
Our waiter welcomed us with a warm smile and introduced us to the menu, going the extra mile by offering some valuable recommendations. We decided to try a variety of dishes, and we were not disappointed.
We started with the Patatas Bravas, a delightful dish with fried potatoes in a flavorful brava sauce and creamy garlic aioli.
Our waiter's top recommendation was the Brussels sprouts, which came topped with San Simone cheese and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. The addition of chorizo gave it that extra kick of flavor. This dish was a pleasant surprise, and I can see why it's a must-try.
The best dish of the night was the Fideuà Surf and Turf Paella. It had a mix of ingredients like rice, saffron-flavored beef, big prawns, mussels, tasty fish, juicy chicken, and spicy chorizo. The mix of seafood and land-based meats was delicious, and the rice was full of flavor, bringing it all together beautifully.
What impressed us most about Bota Tapas & Paella Bar was not just the delicious food but also the exceptional service. Our waiter's recommendations were spot-on, and his attentiveness throughout the meal made the evening even more enjoyable.
We can't wait to return to try the Seafood Paella and Grilled Octopus next time.
Having lived in Spain for several months, it is always a challenge to find excellent Spanish food stateside. Bota, however, exceeded all expectations. Keith, our waiter, provided us with wonderful service with great recommendations and some friendly banter. The gin and tonic and sangria were both excellent, and we enjoyed them as we began with a favorite - patatas bravas with just the slightest bite. The chicken cannelloni was tasty, too, but my absolute favorite was the grilled octopus. It was the best octopus I have ever had! 😋 And I try it many places trying to find what I discovered at Bota. I would come back repeatedly for the octopus alone. ☺️ We ordered three desserts between the two of us - Crema Catalana, Santiago and Churros. Having the crema to add to both the churros and the Santiago was amazing. We had such a wonderful meal and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We highly recommend you try Bota (and especially the octopus!!!).
Place was amazing! Food was phenomenal, atmosphere was great our waiter(Che I think her name was)was super nice and gave us the perfect amount of space while still knowing when to come back. 10/10 would highly recommend to any and all looking to have a great night.
Nice ambiance and great staff. I was greatly disappointed with the paella maybe because I got the meat one. Chorizo should not be in the paella as the bitter taste takes away from all of the other flavors. I recommend doing just a chicken paella that way you can taste the olive oil, garlic, onion, etc. and it needed salt. I was disappointed because it didn’t taste like my dads paella and they didn’t serve it with bread which was also disappointing especially for the price.
The potatoes and sangria was good. I really wanted churros con chocolate, however on the menu the churros are served like Mexican churros with cinnamon and sugar which is not cool I was disappointed about that. The place has potential but could be better.
It's a rare treat when you find a hotel thar actually cares about their lobby bar/restaurants. I mean, you get it. Their concern lays with the rooms, the parking situation, and so on. However, as a traveler, sometimes you don't want to travel far to enjoy a good meal and a good cocktail or glass of wine. Thats what
The Warwick Hotel in San Francisco has done with BOTA. It's elevated dining without being overly complicated. The space is intimate yet makes use of that space not to make you feel crowded. The decor is comfortable and adds to the flow of the room. The wall paintings are a point of conversation. The food for me, personally, was a step up for me as a fledgling foodie because I had no idea how much I would enjoy the seared shisito peppers, but I really did. My squid was seared to perfection with the perfect amount of char. All in all, this made for an enjoyable night in for my holiday in
San Francisco.
Bota has a very hip and cute ambiance. You can choose to sit at a high top table or standard. We ordered the Jamon Serrano charcuterie board, pulpo, patatas bravas (my favorite dish ever), and paella valencia.
The Jamon charcuterie board - delicious! I wish there was manchego cheese with this and more bread. But overall very delicious.
Pulpo - the light in my husband's eyes when he ate it and tasted it warmed my little heart. He said it reminded him of Spain and tasted exactly how he remembered it. You know it's good if you're getting flashbacks (lol).
Patatas Bravas - my husband and I were split. He likes his potatoes more on the crispier/burnt side and I felt that they hit the mark exactly. I like my potatoes golden and crisp. The sauce was amazing.
Paella Valenciana - this dish was average. My husband and I both felt as if it was missing something. But the dish wasn't too bad. But for sure we would have reconsidered a $50 dish if it wasn't going to deliver.
Overall our visit here was good. The tapas were amazing. When we come back we will stick to tapas only.
Simply the best place to eat prior to a concert at the Fox Theater. Right across the street from the Fox, gourmet Spanish cuisine. We had 2 amazing starters and then split a meat Paella - my 1st non-seafood Paella, and it was absolutely fantastic!
Young, hip atmosphere - we ate at the bar, which was great, because it was a pleasure watching the two bartenders in action. The young woman bartender was particularly impressive, and fun to talk with - she is a VERY skilled and experienced bartender! Very impressive bar, by the way, so Bota is perfect for either dinner or drinks. Reservations highly recommended (we weren't able to get a reservation, but they suggested we be there when they opened, and were able to be seated at the bar, which was perfect!
Fresh complex flavors. The best seat in the house is at the bar overlooking the open kitchen. The chef's and supporting team display an exceptional deal of coordination. Try the Brussel Sprouts and Rabas De Pollo. The Grill Octopus seemed to be very popular along with the Seafood Paella.
Tapas were delicious. In my opinion, the best were the oysters. The wine suggested by the waiter was very good. Paellas were a little bit too dry and bland.
We randomly found this place by walking around and was pleasantly surprised the quality food as well as service. Octopus and paella was all pretty good.
Stopped in for lunch and am glad I did. Service was pretty bad but in a good way. They were very disorganized then again they had just opened.
The shishitos were great, some were bland and others incredible. The meat paella was a bit bland but fulfilling so much so that none were left over.
The real star of the meal was the secreto iberica. It's difficult to describe but the flavor was something else. It's a must try.
The place was pretty empty and staff was not overbearing. Definitely on my favorites list.
We stopped off here as a quick wine and Tappas stop before a night out. So fun! We enjoyed the wine and we can highly-recommend the shoshito peppers and the bacon-wrapped dates. Great flavors that complimented the wines very well. Music is fun. People are great.
Paella and tapas eatery outside Union Square. One of the better squid ink paella’s I’ve had in the city. The tapas are a good size and very tasty. The charcuterie board is a definite must. And you can’t forget the wine, Bota has an amazing and expansive wine list. Perfect for special occasions.
Absolutely phenomenal food! From start to finish, every item we ordered from the tapas menu was perfection! Highly recommend! I had no idea "lemon air" could taste so good.
