We love this place. Since they opened it’s been our neighborhood go to for Italian and is just consistently great. Tonight we decided to wander along Divisadero to grab a bite and every place we checked had a 30-40 minute wait. So, we shrugged our shoulders and headed to what we knew would be a solid, comforting meal. There was only one other table with diners which broke my heart but you know what? The food was still excellent, the service cheerful and we left happy.

Came here for my partner’s birthday. The service was excellent and they were very helpful with bringing in an outside cake. Portion sizes were good. Really enjoyed the Orecchiette pasta and spicy salami pizza.

Had a wonderful dinner at Uva yesterday. Their home made Pizza made my palate travels back to Napoli…. Fresh, tasty and traditional. Great wine list and service. I Definitely recommend.

I've been to Uva maybe 30 times and it never gets old. Perfect neighborhood restaurant (in the best neighborhood imo) - everything is delicious, great atmosphere, kind and knowledgeable staff. It's a go-to place to take anyone visiting SF.

SF restaurant week special! The kale salad was perfect, that pop of mint in there really did it for me. The beets were fine but could use some citrus or feta cheese. Pasta and pizza were cooked to perfection. The sauce on the pomodoro was addictive and the mozzarella on the pizza was super high quality. Desserts were great too, could have gone with half the amount of peanuts on the mousse and the Pana cotta was divine! Thanks for a great meal! A solid choice.

We ordered the Salami pizza and Smoked Mozzarella pizza for delivery. Both arrived perfectly prepared and in exquisite presentation, almost too pretty to eat. Almost. The Salami pizza (Spicy salame, mozzarella, pecorino, calabrian chilis, san marzano tomatoes, red onions, clover honey) had a cool bit of honey that complemented the chilis so well, loved it. Maybe a touch too much honey for me but great nonetheless. The Smoked Mozzarella (Smoked mozzarella, toybox tomatoes, garlic, basil, black pepper) was just a simple, well seasoned pizza that tasted sublime. Yum. Recommend trying out, we are looking forward to trying more from their menu. Feb 2016.

I love this place! Best Italian food I’ve ever had at a restaurant in the US. Every dish is fantastic and the flavors are so well balanced. The prices are super good value for the amazing quality of the food.

I had only tried this place once, years ago, and didn't find it all that memorable. Recently, I came back on a whim and had an excellent dinner sitting at the bar. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered: flavorful and well-textured kale salad, savory anchovy and egg crostini, and baked butternut squash pasta. The crostini, in particular, was a surprise standout, and I am not normally a fan of kale salad, but I could eat the salad here all day, every day. Service was on point, and the ambiance is very nice. We didn't try any wines, but this is a wine place with an extensive selection, so I would certainly come back for a tasting.

Cozy italian restaurant with delicious food. At first the service wasn't great but once we moved to a different table it was excellent, so I guess it depends where you're seated. I highly recommend the lasagna!

Everything was delicious! I would highly recommend the eggplant parmigiana it was so so so perfect! Loved the pizza and cauliflower dish too, it all felt like we were in a piece of Italy in San Francisco.

Went here for brunch. Great vibe. Good service. I actually had the sausage pizza and it was great. We also got the granola which was also fantastic. Will be back.

Small and cozy place in Hayes neighbourhood. We had an 8pm reservation for 4 people. We arrived 10min late and the table needed few more minutes to be ready but it was not a problem for us. Atmosphere inside is really romantic with small tables, art on the walls and dim lights which I love. Our waiter was nice and patient with our several requests to take pics of us. Bathrooms were very clean and they were called "Water Rooms" hahaha! I thought it was a joke! Dinner Menu was 1 page - nice and simple with few choices of salads and appetisers, 4 choices of pasta and secondi plates and few more options of pizzas. We opted to share a burrata pizza which was fresh and lovely. For main courses we had the boar lasagna (very tasty but also very heavy), stuffed sea shell pasta with spinach and ricotta (nice and light for someone who isn't super hungry), pumpkin pasta (which my cousin found very dry and couldn't finish) and the chicken which wasn't too great. We shared a Montepulciano D'Abbruzzo red wine (bottle for 40$) but not my kind of wine as it had a dry finish. Overeall good experience and would return if in the area.

Great place for real Italian food that’s not in North Beach in San Francisco! Pizzas here were absolutely phenomenal! Great cocktails like Aperol Spritzes too

Every item we ordered from the drinks, the formaggi, the beet salad, the pasta, and pizza were incredibly fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and they kindly answered all of our questions. A quaint and classy intimate setting had everyone enjoying the Italian experience.

Dang, I wish I'd known about this happy hour sooner. $6 wine and a $10 giant plate of pasta with homemade noodles and sauce. Pizza was also a $10 option and there were a couple of side dishes for $6.
