The Chairman Truck - San Francisco - Photo album

This commissary kitchen of a food truck cooks up much-welcome flavors in a neighborhood of limited dining options. The pork belly bao, straightforwardly sweet and tender, with nice acidic crunch from daikon pickles. Karaage chicken fingers, not very different from any diner-made chicken tender with
I loved the bao here at the Chairman! I came to their co-op restaurant location at Hawker Alley for lunch, and had a wonderful quick lunch! I got 3 of the bao: the karaage chicken, pork belly, and spicy chicken. They were all so warm and fresh, but my favorite was the karaage chicken because of how
My first time here and first meal in San Francisco. The rice bowl (vegetarian) that I got was pretty appetizing. The food was done within minutes and the service was good. The dining area and overall place is fairly small so quick bites or lunch with a friend would be ideal.
The karaage chicken is delicious, with very crispy chicken thigh cut into strips (3 or 5 pieces) and the fries have a light seaweed dusting for flavoring.
Great food and customer service. We stop here every time we're in the city. Everything is amazing. My son's favorite is the coca cola pork sandwich, mine is the pork belly buns. Rice bowl and noodles are also excellent!!
My first introduction to the Chairman was their food truck. I've been hooked ever since. The Tofu taco on the soft warm bun is to die for. Even meat lovers will love it. There's only street parking at the restaurant. Unfortunately, I had a short wait during my visit because the cashier forgot to put
Loved them when they were a food truck and now love this brick and mortar store, especially the salad bowls, noodle stores and delicious rice bowls not available at the food trucks.
Consistently awesome, and fast. One of the best tofu buns in town, imho.
Great place to go when you're on Larkin St. for Asian inspired street food. I recommend the spicy chicken buns and green salad with pickled vegetables!!
This is a no frills Asian spot that saves all the surprise in their food. The boa buns, noodle, salad and rice dishes are all exquisite.
Food here was great! Got the steamed buns with tofu and felt satisfied as someone who has a healthy appetite. The order was made in the time frame they gave and workers here communicated the status of the order well. Can definitely recommend. The seasoned fries were amazing as well!
Food is tasty and cooked very well. Worth checking out and then some. Might be on the pricey side for some.
Some of the best pork belly I've ever had!
We walked in a little before noon. There was 2 people ahead of us. The guy had a large take out order. Ordering food was slow but waiting for the food took much longer. We noticed most people got take out. Now we know why. I got the stream buns, a pork belly and a short rib. Both were exc
Small menu, but they have some items that you can't find at their food trucks. The food is pretty good, but really salty if that's not your thing. My friend had a rice bowl which has a lot of different things in it and was a little spicy in my opinion, and I had a braised pork baked bun. You can get
Great food, very flavorful! Loved going to this place instead of waiting in long lines when they’re mobile!
I first saw this food truck at The Truck Stop but there was too long of a long during lunch time to wait. But I stumbled upon it again at Off The Grid and the line wasn't too bad, so we decided to give it a try after hearing great raves. We ordered the steamed buns with the pork belly and pickled da
