Great food got a Kazan roll which was good! And learned I'm not a fan of sake straight but the Ginza Mule was amazing! We also got a California (being were on vacation/when in California), a spicy tuna roll and a surf and turf roll that was to die for! Now for a dessert! :) #ginzasf
Since we just moved a few blocks from here, we were eager to find a sushi place and Ginza did not disappoint. We went here on a Saturday evening, around 8:30pm, and it wasn't packed at all. I've been to some places where it's packed like a sardine can (fish pun, yes) but it feels great here. We haven't tried the sake yet, but maybe at a future visit. Try it out!
Thank god we finally got a seat! I have been trying to eat here since I moved to the neighborhood. They pulled the heater out for us when it was cold outside. We love the atmosphere here, and love how accommodating the staff have been. They brought us our food so quickly, and everything is just delicious.
Really, really good chicken Kara-age. Also had the kaiju roll (soft shell crab, avocado, etc) and the steak - both were excellent. Definitely will come back!
Had a lovely veggie sushi dinner here! Avocado roll and adegashi tofu. Super delicious. Love this place. :)
Delicious tea and the rainbow roll was outta sight! Hot diggity daffodil this place is keen!!
Loving the food, sake, and atmosphere!! I live in L.A. and will definitely come back out here when I'm in town again!!!
So good #nomnom ! I got the dragon roll and seaweed salad. Edamame with garlic is another great one!
Ginza has an awesome atmosphere! I love their salmon with miso cream sauce. Also their house salad is amazing, and their sushi is artful!
Good food. Friendly service.
Went in there for a quick lunch and wasn't disappointed by what we got.
Good food lovely warm sake and sushi rolls. Freshly made before your eyes.
My current favorite sushi spot in the city! Food is delicious and service is always great!
Sushi at this restaurant is absolutely 100% art. Everything from presentation to how many specific pieces of caviar is meticulously prepared by the sushi chefs.
I came here for my 30th birthday, and was offered a complementary ice cream and chocolate cake dessert.
The atmosphere was very friendly and social , we were approached by fellow diner’s, and struck up a conversation with someone eating near us. The service staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
Buying the sushi chef beer produced three separate complementary not on the menu items. Each one was a flavor roller coaster I took my tongue to a new dimension of flavor. At times I had to stop eating just a process what exactly I had just put in my mouth.
The fish was so fresh, so Tinder, and so raw.
If you’re looking to experience quality sushi in San Francisco, I would highly recommend this location as it is world famous .
We usually do takeout but decided to dine in. It wasn’t crowded at the time. We ordered our usual rolls. Despite the place being empty, it did take a few minutes for them to seat us. Another patron waited a while and finally gave ip. We had to flag them down to get our bill. Sushi is good albeit pricey. If you decide to dine in then give yourself time.
After long time, it was good to have Japanese food. Food was delicious and staff service was very pleasant
Phenomenal experience here! I got the premium chirashi bowl which was incredible value considering the type of sushi (uni, toro, caviar, ama-ebi) and that it was from Tsukiji market in Japan. Service was great and the waiters and chefs were super nice and gave us many extras. The quality to price ratio of the fish was some of the best value I’ve had in SF!
Ordered the Nigiri Tasting, was good, fish was fresh.
The gyoza however tasted like frozen from the market. Would not recommend.
Incredible sushi and cocktails! And amazing price for the area too.
I would have to say I have a very unhealthy relationship with this restaurant. The fact that its a block away from where I live, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent is just the tip of the iceberg of how awesome this place is.
*not pictured: Chicken Karaage - It all went in my mouth before I could snap a pic 😢
As a vegetarian I appreciated the amount of veggie rolls available here. Got the avocado rolls and few of their specialties. Everything was delicious. Appreciated that the rolls were actually bite size!! The strawberry lemonade with sake was fun as well. Next time will likely order to go and eat at golden gate park right down the street.
Great food good service
I would totally come back!
awesome happy hour menu! the karaage chicken was so freakin good and crispy! the location isn't the most convenient because it's not near a Bart station but it's definitely worth visiting. lots of cool shops nearby too!
Creative, especially with vegetarian rolls, this place is a delight. Yuzu lemonade and 12 layer crepe cake are must haves. Great for take out.
Wowoowowowoww cannot say enough about this place! The fish was absolute top notch quality and flavor. The Omakase was incredibly thoughtful and resplendent in nature. 15/10
I went for a very late lunch and landed at the happy hour time. Incredible oysters for 1,5 dollars each and a bunch of other things for 5-6 dollars. I had the goyoza and the two fancy sushis. I'm not sure what was in it but it tasted really good! I'd honestly be able to eat 10 of those oysters!
Oh, so so good! High-quality sushi, original rolls, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be headed back to try some more of their amazing rolls.
So chill and relaxing, and the sushi is truly a work of art! I had a fantastic whiskey cocktail with lemon and a few flakes of salt and it was delicious. I want to go back for more ASAP! We had a fun afternoon there fueling up for the Haight, which of course has a lot of window shopping.
Heavenly, the Samurai in the kitchen really knows how to use a blade. The soft shell crab was cooked to perfection. Gorgeous presentation. Didn't want to eat it.
The only downside is they use milk products in their spicy mayo, and I'm allergic.
