Really affordable joint in SF chinatown. Small, mom and pop style Chinese restaurant featuring many dumpling and noodle, and rice dishes. Really appreciated the portion size and would come back again!
Everything we ordered was delicious! It was busy when we were there, and not a lot of seating. But I’d go back again. Seemed reasonably priced.
House of Xian Dumpling is a no-frills chinese dumpling spot but don’t sleep on their noodle soups. We ordered their potstickers, XLB, and braised beef & tendon noodle soup. Prices are not exorbitant like the rest of the Bay Area too.
The language barrier is there but it’s really doable for everyone. I saw both locals and tourists dining. It’s always nice supporting the local small restaurants!
Side note: This restaurant is REALLY no-frills. I'd avoid their water or tea if possible (unless it's bottled). Personally I was fine but I can see some people being turned off by it.
Ordered take out. They didn’t see my order but was able to make the food in 10mins.
Shrimp fried rice and the green beans were delicious.
Omg. Spicy pork dumpling sauce has me turned into a fire breathing dragon. Everything is good and authentic. One of the few places in the area with online ordering. Fast service. Worth every penny.
We highly recommend this restaurant! The food was great and the prices were very correct. We had the braised beef noodle soup and the dumplings. It was really tasty and well cooked. A very good adress in Chinatown!
Amazing dumplings! I got 6 chicken and 6 vegetable. Orders come in 12 but I asked to split so I could try two different kinds.
My order came out quick and the dumplings were hot and fresh. Total was $14 after tax. Chicken was my favorite of the two.
The inside is small and looks like someone’s kitchen. Nothing fancy. There are about 8 tables or so. They have a bathroom for customer use.
Staff was super nice and I was able to pay with card.
This place has fantastic dumplings! We walked in and there was an old lady making a huge tray by hand. My wife's favorite food are chive shrimp dumplings, so we got an order of that. They were amazing! Taste fresh and authentic. They were so good we got another order to go to eat later. I will say that I was not very impressed with the soup broth. I got the spicy beef soup and I felt it was lacking in flavor. If I come back I would stick to the dumplings. Also, the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Stick to the dumplings!
My girlfriend and I decided to go here when deciding between this and House of Nanking. The prices here were half of what they were at Nanking, so we decided on this place. IT WAS MAGICAL. The braised beef noodle soup is absolutely amazing and I was wishing I was hungrier after finishing the bowl. Will 10000% be returning when coming back to the area.
My family and I visited San Francisco for the first time and we decided to go to Chinatown and this restaurant was so good. Staff was so friendly and no wait time.
