Was in SF for a mission trip and visited Chai Bar four days in a row. I wish there was a bar in Sacramento! Come soon.

I was here once, with a friend. He had a fancy Chai, I had the Munich. He was happy with his Chai, I LOVED the Munich. The atmosphere was good - it wasn't too loud and the decor was nice. Bathroom, which requires a passcode, was nice and clean. Overall would recommend if you're in the mood for something warm and fancy.

Luis went above and beyond to track down a Maple Moose canister for me to bring to my family! It is so refreshing to have customer service like that. I will definitely be back because of him!

The staff are super friendly. They let me try a sugar free option which is awesome if you like sugar free. Not many places have sugar free. It taste great. The food is always good when I come. Got a breakfast sandwich and a dirty chai. Came with a side of fruit. Delicious 🤤 The sandwich is large so I was able to bring some back and my coworkers tried it and loved it so we're all going here for breakfast next outing.

I've been coming to David Rio for years as I used to work right near by. This place is definitely worth a stop and by far some of the best chai I've had in the US. I've gotten to try their whole menu, you can't go wrong with anything here. My favorites are the tea frappe, flamingo and black rhino. You currently can't sit inside which is understandable. This is owned locally and highly recommend stopping by.

I got a "Cub Chai" which boasts ginger and spice more than sweet, and it was perfect for the rainy days we've been having. The space is open, welcoming, and located near the Civic center BART station. Delicious cup of chai!

If you like Chai, you should come here. It's my first visit and I'm sure it won't be the last. There's not really any nearby parking spots. Let's be honest this is San Francisco, a parking spot is not easily found. Anyway, it's a really cute Cafe/Bar. Love the ambiance, wall decor, and the layout. They have the bar and staff in the center. Which is perfect. I had the Tiger Spice Chai which was not too strong. Tasted pretty good with almond milk. I also had their banana nut muffin. Tasted like it had toasted walnuts. It had a perfect combination of a crisp outside and moist inside. Was paired well with my Chai. The staff were smiley and friendly. They had a big selection of Chai to choose from so I can't wait to try a different one! By the way, they serve beer and wine and they have vegan option.

I feel like my reviews in sf all sound the same nowadays. Amazing, but the location is crazy and you cannot park there at all. They close a lil early on Friday’s so make sure to get there early. You will not regret the hot chai! The regular signature one.

I love to choose here to stay with friends. It's a good place to chat with close friends. There are many kinds of chais, so you can choose them depending on your mood. I like Tiger Spice Chai. It's a popular one that is a little bit spicy and sweet. Also, inside the store has good vibes. This place is not too crowded but also empty. It's because the location is a little bit apart to the heart of San Francisco. But it takes only around 8 min walking from Powell Station. For me, their chai serves a little bit low temperature, but I think for most people in the US, it feels a nice temperature. Sorry, Japanese people are too strict for the temperature of teas :)

Wonderful place! Delicious drinks and such a friendly service! Chai is really great, full of flavor and very creamy. You can get any drinks with non-dairy milk as well. Really love this place!

Cute cafe on Market St. It’s in a questionable part of town that’s involving. All their chai’s are made by them, but are all powdered. Looking at the ingredients online, they are not made of simple ingredients. They do have a few unique chai drinks. You can also get coffee drinks. My iced chai was decent. But personally I prefer liquid chai. When I went the cafe was closed and everything was takeout only. They had a few lunch items, but they didn’t look great. The breakfast pastries did look amazing! You can order their chai’s online or buy them in store.

I got an iced latte with oat milk. Thankfully they arent stingy with the espresso like some places--4 shots in an iced latte (just perfect for me). It was delicious and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They were also very quick to get my order out despite the big wave of customers that came in ahead of me. The seating is comfortable and there are places to charge your phone if you're willing to search a little bit. Overall, great experience. Couldn't ask for more.

I thought this place was called tiger spice chai. Regardless, I ordered a combo of two types of chai and loved it. It was freaky and not too sweet and not too spicy. I recommend with almond milk because it's still delicious and dairy free!

Cool vibes, mix of industrial and Asian. Love chai and coffee at the same time, so I opted for a dirty cub chai which has a lovely twist of fresh ginger. Really enjoyable sitting area and looking forward to trying the other varieties next time! Definitely bring a book or something to unwind a little bit with. The baristas were super kind, thank you Ban and Esmeralda and also the one with the cool glasses/style whose name I didn’t ask!! :)

I ordered a turmeric and cacao custom iced chai latte. I loved the server asked me if I wanted a lid and the lid was compostable. The inside is verrrryyy swank to have a drink and chill out

Superb place. Absolutely love the chai served here. If you like the Indian masala chai (or cutting chai as we locals call it) you must especially try the Cub chai. Sir Spice a lot is also amazing -- mix of Cub chai and another spicy chai I can't remember at the moment. Anyway, they serve non diary milk options too like soy, almond and low fat, skim milk. Staff is also very friendly and help you if you want suggestions. Clean and great seating space -Indoor and Outdoor. The location around the chai bar is kinda not so safe but the cafe itself is safe and calm. Nice place for study/work alone. You can also bring your pets here.

My favorite cafe ever. I love, love chai. Incredible atmosphere! Very comforting. A huge fan of the large variety of drinks. Boba chai was tasty. I recommend non fat milk (the chai is very milky!). Keep in mind that 'sweet' is very, very sweet. I'd go on the more spicy side if I'd known when I first came here.

I could write a 5,000-word essay on my chai experiences and how every place I try their vanilla chai, and it disappoints me.....except for four locations in the world, and David Rio's vanilla chai is one of them!! Amazing chai. If you're like me and in search of vanilla chai that isn't just vanilla syrup with spiced chai (NOT GOOD), then go here or order online! During the pandemic, I would only suggest ordering the chai online and making it at home! (My best friend made this blended chai for me at home!)

This is a great place to stop by if you're in need of a coffee. I came here to take a coffee art class while I was in town and it was great. I recommend it for a fun evening with friends.
