Decided to try sushi here after the actual restaurant I had been recommended to try was closed when I went to the Japan center, and am I ever glad that I did! The sushi was AMAZING! The best I've ever had. It tastes so fresh and flavorful! I ordered a roll with scallops in it, and when I bit into it, it felt like the scallops just melted in my mouth. The rolls were a substantial size and it wasn't too expensive. I did eventually try the originally recommended restaurant and it didn't even compare to this place! On my most recent visit in San Francisco, I made a return trip here and was just as satisfied as my first time. Any future trips I make into the Bay Area will definitely have to include at least one meal here!
We've been eating at Mifune for years. We've taken the kids there when they were little and even now they're adults we find ourselves eating there. Best udon and soba. Love this place!
Great service. Calm and uncrowned. And adequate food! And it’s close the bathrooms! They gave me salad on the side and changed the lettuce for me
On the chicken salad from romaine to spring mix, as it’s healthier!
Shrimp Tempura was excellent. I liked the Yuza Lemon sauce that made items tangy. Staff is friendly. The atmosphere could be more authentic which is why it missed one star.
They have many choices of happiness dishes. Great for grabbing a quick meal. Reasonable prices.
This place has the best Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba! I definitely recommend it!
Those are the only food I get whenever I come here.
We came here for my husband's birthday and we love Japan town and sushi!! But we decided to go to a new restaurant. The service was good, and restaurant was very clean and decorated accordingly.
We ordered our food and it was served at an amount as any other place, but flavors weren't wow, more bland (and we ordered some spicy rolls).
I will say that the tempura dinner platter is very well served and yummy.
My big take on this is that it looked like they specialized in noodles, but you could not really tell this from the outside.
I don't believe we will be coming back, maybe if we want to try the noodles, but maybe.
Yummy food great price and portion.
The best of three local Chashu Ramen and curry rice dishes I had in Japantown this trip. The real deal.
Great noodle place in Japantown. The quality of service does seem to vary based on your race. When I go with my Japanese friends, we get perfect service. However, the food is still good enough and at a great price for me to return frequently.
Overall, a great noodle joint. They have good deals on bento boxes. Seating is a bit limited but feels cozy and private. You can also ask to be seated outside, across the entrance. This is Japanese comfort food at its best.
Never got to eat there but I got a door dash order to pick up and I guess I should tell you guys the place was empty; no chairs, no equipment, bare walls and floors. Either they moved, are out of business or they're doing a massive restoration, but it looked like they were out of business because there wasn't any signs either.
